I tried six different styles of black pumps to wear for interviews at extremely conservative firms. Part of my decision was based on comfort and part was based on heel height (I didn't want to alter the hem of my interview suit/pants). This style came in toward the bottom of the pack, primarily because the heel was too low, but it was definitely comfortable. If the hem of my pants hadn't been too long to wear these, I probably would've been happy with them. I ended up returning all but the Clarks Tempt Appeal.

I need these shoes to wear with a uniform and they fit the bill. They seem very comfortable and even though they are a lower heel than I normally wear, they are pretty darn attractive. The sizing was strange for me. I do usually wear an 11 - but not in all shoes. So I was not exactly surprised that 10 fit just fine. But with nylons in they are still a little slippy. But overall I am very happy with these shoes.

Decent mid pumps. The balls of my feet were quite happy as these are pretty cushy because of the platform, which was really nice. I had a serious issue with my heels slipping out of them and had to add heel pads in the back, but otherwise I'm happy with the purchase.

Short version: The other reviewers are correct in that I found the black version of these pumps to be half a size too large (my normal size is 7 but I kept 6½ in these pumps). I wish the toe box was wider and deeper. Nice look, quiet sole, very manageable heel. Long version: Since there were wildly divergent sizing issues reported by other reviewers I ordered a plethora of sizes (7M, 6½M, 6½W, 6M, 6W) in order to try to determine what fit best. I have moderately narrow heels and wide forefoot and I normally wear a 7M, but prefer a roomy toe box. In the Rockport Seven to 7s, I walked right out of the 7M as they were too big/long. I found the 6M to be too small/short in length as well as too narrow. Zappos delivered a second pair of 6½M instead of the 6W that I had ordered so I could not assess that size for comfort. I found the 6½W had a more comfortable toe box, but the heel and midfoot of the shoe were huge and I walked out of them even with heel petals. I decided to settle for the 6½M because they felt the closest to a good fit in length and I could walk comfortably in them without walking out of the shoes. I find they are a bit tight across the forefoot and this accentuates the toe cleavage that the low scoop of the design reveals. While I do like that there is a platform built in to make the heel/sole difference less, it does make the shoe more inflexible and the toe box very shallow. Your foot does not seat as deeply into the shoe as the external view would suggest. Overall though, it is a very practical yet elegant-looking shoe and I plan to keep it. Since it has a leather upper I am hoping that the toe box will eventually stretch a bit with use.

Comfortable shoe runs large order a half size down or the heel will slip. I have a narrow heel and added Foot petals pads to help.

Very nice shoe, with comfy insole for standing long periods of time. But it seemed slightly long which caused it to rub on my heels. Sadly I must return.

I love these shoes - great quality, super comfy and look very cute with anything! However, I had to exchange for half a size down because they were so big.

Shoe definitely runs too big. I'm normally an 8.5-9, ordered these in 8.5 and they are big. They seem to bery very comfortable, although a bit on a heavy side. Will return and get an 8, hopefully that will work.

Adorable dressy shoe for someone that never wears heels, a rather comfortable height. However, had to return 3 pair, in 3 different sizes because my heel would come out when I walked (Sizes 9.5 - 10.5). Tried heel pads, changing width, etc. Nothing helped. Sorry to see them go...but no point in tripping on the dance floor!

I'm typically a 7 and had to return the 7 for a 6.5 as the fit was quite big. But they really are quite comfortable. Great for work, but understated. I like the slightly (but not overly) rounded toe.

The low 2.5" height, hidden platform within and air cushion foot bed with neutral color of the croc finish are an outstanding combination. This shoe runs a full size larger than standard sizes by my interpretation. I ordered a half size down to a 10.5 from my usual 11 after reading other reviews but find that even the 10.5 is still too big as I slip out of them when walking. I usually can only fit a 10 if it is open toed and runs big. I am 6'1" in height and work in real estate which requires a functional, polished but not over dressed look in Los Angeles. I want something to wear with my skinny jeans and blouses which is on trend while comfortable and not so tall I'm towering over everyone. I hope the 10 fits perfect and I might buy this in more than one color/finish. This shoe is vegan which I like though it will not hold up like leather as most of my vegan shoes are disposable within a year whereas real leather and real patent has lasted me over 7 years when it's well made. I might try this in the patent and keep you posted. Looks good under slacks and also with dressed though some might find it slightly chunky or without enough height for them. I think half size smaller might look less chunky. Here's hoping 10 fits.

This is a nice shoe because the heel is not frumpy but not too high and the toe is not too pointy. It runs very large. I had to return a 7.5 (my normal size) and now must return the 7 and it appears it can't be exchanged. I suggest you order a full size down.

I own this shoe in another color in the same size so I ordered this one in black because I'm looking for a comfortable but pretty heel to replace another pair of black pumps that have seen better days. Unfortunately, my heels kept slipping out of these and I don't have enough room around the toes to add a heel pad to prevent that slippage. So beware that there is some variability in the fit between the leather styles used. (I did try on my other pair to confirm that it wasn't just because I was trying on these shoes on different day when my feet were colder/not swollen.) Still, this shoe its comfy on the inside with nice interior padding and has a nice profile from the back and side.

I normally wear a 6 but these shoes were too big - both feet came out of the shoes when I tried walking in them. Unfortunately Zappos does not have a 5.5 in the Taupe color so I will have to look elsewhere. Otherwise they certainly felt comfortable.

These are pretty comfortable shoes. I added a bit of arch support which helps. I scratched them the first time I wore them and the patent leather peeled back every so slightly. Took them in for repair so the problem didn't get worse and just hoping they aren't going to be high maintenance. They look really nice on.

One of the most comfortable pair of heels ever. I forget I'm wearing heels, and don't even change into my sneakers to walk the 3 blocks to the parking garage from work. I did have to get a 1/2 size smaller than I usually wear.

I love the style. The almond shaped toe box, cushioning, and non slip sole make them really great for extended wear. I am normally a size 10 but decided to go with 9.5 wide. The 9.5 wide felt over a size too big. I ordered the snake skin and the beige in 9 wide. The beige patent was a bit too tight while the 9 wide snake skin was still too big. I tried putting the gel pad to keep it from slipping off my heel and it was still too big. I returned the patent leather and kept the snake skin. They are very comfortable so I plan to save them for winter when I will wear tights. I would recommend ordering a half size smaller for the patent leather and at least a size smaller for the leather.

I'm not sure if I just have exceptionally wide feet, but these kind of squeezed me in the toes just a tad- and I had some Toe Cleavage going on, but other than that I would say they are comfortable! The heel is manageable, and the color is a little more "taupe" than in the picture- but no complaints there. I think the picture looks a little more pink, and in person there is a bit more brown.

These heels are incredibly comfortable, and I'm in love with just about everything about them. As other reviewers have noted, they do run at least a half size too large. I typically wear a 9, and the 8.5 fit perfectly when I put in a heel liner. The only thing I am not pleased with is the fact that mine have scuffed quickly. I purchased them in black smooth, and the toes have gone from smooth to quite dull in just three or four wears in the office. Maybe I have a dud run or something because I haven't noticed this problem mentioned in other reviews. Shoe polish is helping, but for this price I don't think the leather should wear so quickly. Otherwise, these really are wonderful shoes that haven't hurt my feet in the slightest.

The python cloth is a lovely neutral with some white. Unfortunately, the heels slip off my feet, like some others have said. I love the rubber sole and nicely supportive, comfy inside. Unfortunately I've found the sizing a bit inconsistent on these shoes. Some 7W fit me (I'm normally a 7W or 7.5) while other pairs slip off.

I am a pretty standard 8, and the 8 felt a little big...while the 7.5 felt just a smidge too small. I've added Petals inserts at heel to grip, but that's not working. Going to keep at it, as they are really adorable, super flattering, and the color is pretty. I feel very feminine wearing them!

This shoe is too long, by at least 1/2 size. I even held it beside another Rockport 7.5W that I have and it's noticeably longer. I felt like a little kid in Mom's shoes... Otherwise, the wide width felt good and footbed comfortable, no mashed toes in the toe bed. Sending these back to try 1/2 size smaller.

Very comfortable from first time putting them on. Heel height is actually 3 inches, but offset by the 3/4 inch platform built into front of shoe. Leather quality is good, I can see these becoming my new "go to" work shoes. I ordered a 9.5 because the last several pair of shoes I bought have been running small. I probably should have ordered the 9 as my heel readily comes out of the shoe, but not so much that it's a problem. Better a little loose than too tight.

Overall great everyday work shoes. Cute and very cushy, especially for a pump. I had a similar experience to a lot of other reviewers in that the shoes runs a little big. I had luck with going a half size down.
