Best boots I have ever owned. Love the shearling on the interior so I don't wear socks with them (like Uggs on the inside). When it's very cold I put socks on and they are a great winter boot. No breaking in, easy to get on and off. I have a high arch and these boots are extremely comfortable. A substantial boot that does not feel heavy. I own black and brown.

I absolutely love the style and quality of this boot, but I wish it also came in a version without the sheerling inside. I don't need that kind of warmth in San Francisco and I'm afraid these would overheat my feet. At over this cost, these need to go back.

Love these boots! I ordered a 1/2 size up after carefully reading revues & I'm so happy I did as they are a perfect fit. (I normally wear a size 7.5 and I ordered an 8.) I can't say enough about how pleased I am with my purchase. They are worth every penny spent. If you want superior quality, super warm winter boots that are stylish as well as rugged these are the ones to buy.

This was the perfect purchase for the winter of 2015. These are beautiful boots. Great style, soft leather, nice details...the lining is plush and warm. They are my go to winter shoe, they are warm without being too hot, very comfortable and look great with jeans.

My boyfriend got me these for Christmas. Best boyfriend ever! As is typical with Frye, I requested a half-size down (8.5, like most of my other Fryes, instead of my usual 9 in most shoes). At first with winter socks they were tight. But I trusted the reviews and my longstanding love for Frye, and it all worked out. After a few days of wearing with thinner socks, I was able to wear these comfortably with thicker winter socks. However, thick socks aren't even necessary because of the shearling. The fur is gorgeous. I got the dark brown, goes with everything. Super comfortable, better arch-support than some of my other Fryes. I'm wearing them at work right now. Couldn't be happier with them. Thank you Frye!

I love these boots! Comfortable enough right out of the box to wear all day. I find they keep my feet warm, but they don't get hot. When it has been very cold, I have inserted foot warmers with success as well. I have been wearing them with medium thickness socks.

Great boot - perfect for cold weather especially if you want something that is more edgy and urban than UGGS or Sorels. The lugged sole is perfect for ice and snow and shearling lining will keep the toes cozy. These are definitely winter boots, I will not be wearing these in the spring or fall. Frye leather is absolutely the most durable and looks better when worn through the elements.

I tried many different boots that failed. These are great boots. They look great and are very comfortable. They have great traction as well as classic style. They look great with tights and a skirt, skinny jeans or straight jeans. The leather is very soft with distinctive buckles. The shearling rivals Uggs. Give them a try!

These boots are surprisingly comfortable. Not heavy or clunky. I took note of previous comments about the zipper being difficult to use. One of my boot zippers was stiff. I lubricated it and pulled bits of what was probably glue from the spaces. Now I don't have a problem. I have very stiff feet that require boots that zip in order to get them on. These are perfect.

Want to walk all day in your boots? Then buy these. The leather is lovely and the inside is warm and soft. I looked at these boots for a year before purchasing and I wish I had not waited so long.

I absolutely love these boots! They are so expensive that I waited two years to buy them and wasted money on other boots that are far inferior. I find that Frye usually runs a little tight until they are broken in, but since they are lined with fuzziness and it is not that cold out yet I have just been wearing them around without socks for the last few weeks - so they will be fine by the time that I put socks on. They are so comfortable that I never want to take them off!

These boots are fantastic. They are worth every penny that I spent. I love them! The lining is unbelievably soft and comfortable. I have not experienced any problems with the back zip rubbing on my foot at all. If you are thinking about splurging on yourself with these, I say "go for it!" I do personally find that Frye runs small on me, so I had to order a size up.

I absolutely love these boots! I took a bit for me to get the sizing right, first I ordered an 8.5 in the dark brown, they were really snug so I retuned and order a 9, too big. I had read some reviews and others had said they were snug at first but after wearing for a day or 2 they loosened up. So I ordered the 8.5 again, this time in the cognac and I’m in love! They were definitely snug but after wearing for a day they broke right in. I think the cognac color is so much pretty than the dark brown too! It’s not a uniform shade giving it a really nice look. I won’t be returning these, there never coming off my feet!

So comfy & warm! Runs a tad bit small only because of the shearling lining. I wear between a 6 & 6.5. I ordered the 6.5 & it fits perfectly.

I love my Valerie 6 Frye boots! They are great everyday boots. I never thought that I would pay so much for boots that I was going to wear while walking the dogs in the woods. They are warm as well as comfortable. They are worth every penny. I am sure that they will last a lifetime.

Yes expensive, but serious quality. Make sure you have a snug fit at first as shoes will stretch after a few wears. Next day delivery didn't happen with my order as a result of the winter holiday rush...Unfortunately never heard from Zappos regarding this unfortunate turn of events.

This was a major purchase and I was really on the fence. After I tried these boots on I decided they were worth every penny. They are possibly the most comfortable and stylish boots I have ever had. I am a 6 1/2 or 7 depending on the brand and the 7 fits perfectly. They are all weather boots and look great with most outfits. My only gripe is that the Frye tag sits prominently at the top of the inside flap and can be visible at the edge. Not enough of an issue to change my love for these boots though!

These are high quality boots that are very comfortable right out of the box. They run true to size, even with the sheepskin lining. They have cushioned soles, good arch support, and no problems with the heel zipper. I love these boots!

Great looking boots and very warm with the fleece lining. I wear a size 8.5 in frye boots and these fit normal. I'm still not sure about keeping them since they are antiqued and I prefer the polished leather look.
