So glad I ordered these! Extremely cushy and after wearing them for 2 hours they are amazingly comfortable - the leather is beautiful - substantial yet soft, supportive yet able to mold to my feet and bunions. I ordered my usual size, 8 1/2, which felt slightly snug but is now perfect. Ordered the boots in "Black Antique" & "Dark Brown" - On the website, I favored the dark brown, but in person much preferred the black which has a very rich, soft look. I have medium arches which is why I selected excellent arch support. As for how they look, pretty darn good! The shaft of the boot is wide enough to tuck straight leg jeans in but not so wide that they would look ridiculous with tights or leggings. It was a big deal to spend this much money on a pair of boots but I am more than satisfied now that they are on my feet.

As with all Frye boots, they are Very Expensive, but the quality is really wonderful. At first the boots felt a bit tight because of the plushness of the fur lining, however after wearing them around the house for a couple hours they are not tight at all, if anything a tiny bit loose and my heel slips up a bit. It's not enough to bother me, and I will be wearing thick socks anyway. The styling is a timeless moto look that will never be out of fashion. I am actually looking forward to them getting a few scuffs and scrapes so they don't look so new. This is the type of boot that just gets better with age. The sole is bouncy and comfortable. I don't think there is arch support, but the plush footbed seems it will conform to your foot's shape. The chunkiness of the heel and lug sole also give a little extra height, which is something that I, as a short girl, appreciate. I would maybe not recommend these if you have very large feet because the shearling lining does add some overall size to the shoe, making the foot appear a little larger. Overall, I am looking forward to many cozy years with this tough but tender boot. Wish they didn't put such a dent in my wallet though!

Great boots...love the feel and the smell. The only reason I'm sending them back is because Fyre Company will give me a military discount for web orders and Zappos is not able to match that price. Thank goodness for free return shipping.

Nice looking boots as I expected for the price. Soft leather, good color. They fit fine when I tried them on. Problem came when I walked a distance of a little over a mile. Those zippers in the back tore up my heels. I wore think socks, but they didn't protect. I really hope I can break them in so I can enjoy them.

Love these boots. The brown color is beautiful and the lining is soft and warm. I didn't have a problem wit the zipper as others noted. The first pair I purchased were a bit long in the toe so reordered a half size smaller and they fit perfect.

First of all, let me just say Zappos has the best customer service....Second, These boots are great. I bought them for the lug sole. All my other Frye boots have a leather sole which make them unusable in winter in snow. They were VERY narrow in the toe box and thought they would have to go back. I wore thin socks and my pinkie toes went numb. I took my socks off and wore the boots with bare feet. This was very comfortable because of the shearling and am considering wearing them barefoot from now on. But after wearing them for half a day I put socks on again and they fit just fine with no discomfort so if they feel tight dont worry, they stretch out quickly. They are also very warm. I wore them with no socks in 20 degrees and in snow with zero problem. There was also good traction on them on the ice. The zipper didnt bother me but i dont like them at all. After wearing them for one day I can slip my foot in and out without using the zippers. Overall good solid winter boot. Only minus is no removable foot bed so I cant use my own insoles and when the shearling wears out, who knows??

I was a little worried about the zipper in the back rubbing on my heel, but so far it hasn't been a problem at all. These are a little heavy, but more comfortable than I ever thought they would be. They are also very warm and comfortable with or without socks. These are my first pair of Frye boots and I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Perfect, stylish winter boots. I wore these all over NYC streets for a whole week - my feet were dry, comfy and super warm. I ordered half a size up. Amazing customer service. Thanks Zappos.

This is my fifth pair of Fryes, and my favorite so far! At first, they felt a bit heavy on my feet because my other Frye boots have leather soles and these are thick rubber. I'm used to them now, though. I love the shearling and wear these without socks, although I believe there is room for socks if not too thick. These also seem to have a little more arch support than my Phillip Harness boots. The leather is supple, and as with my other Fryes, I expect these to last many years.

All I can say is I love these boots. Out of the box the leather smelled great. They were a bit stiff to start out with but once I broke them in which didn't take long at all they were perfect. They are warm and cozy and have quickly become my favorite pair of boots this winter. The shearling does make the boot a bit tight for the size so if you wear thick socks buy a half size larger than normal.

These are my new go-to boots! I hesitated about spending so much but these were definitely worth it. They're extremely comfortable and cute. My only issue is that no matter how skinny my jeans are, with these boots they're constantly bunching up and I end up having to stop and try to tuck them back in or walk around looking sloppy.

I wore the boots for the first time today, and I'm more in love than when I first took them out of the box. When I opened the Zappos box, I could smell the leather through the Fyre box (Sorry PETA). The boots look way better than they do in the picture.

I love this boot! I was debating between this and another black short boot for a trip I was taking with a lot of walking. I ended up not keeping this...only because it was a different look than I wanted. But I am coming back to get it. It is lined in shearling and fits perfectly true to size. Toasty warm. The sole and heel has some sort of crepe like material that makes walking in it feel solid but at the same time really padded/cushioned. Hard to describe. Would be fantastic winter point because the sole isn't leather. Cute look with jeans and the right casual skirt with tights.

I love the look! But they felt a bit narrow, and the leather is so glorious that I would worry about actually wearing them in winter weather, getting them wet and salty and all that. They are very plush - the shearling is much higher quality than Uggs. Overall, I decided that for this horrendous price they have to be perfect, and the narrowness decided me. If they came in W I would have kept them.

It took a few tries to get the perfect pair but it was worth it. These boots were so cozy, warm and comfortable right out of the box. The distressed finish made me less worried about scratching them and the rubberized sole gives some spring to my step. I did have to put band aids on the back of my ankles the first few wears while I got used to the zipper back but I wear them barefoot otherwise. I looked at these boots for months before taking the plunge but I'm glad I finally did. Awesome boots. Purchased in Cognac - beautiful rich color and goes with anything.

I wanted to love these boots: they are gorgeous, well made, and oh so soft to slide on. But the internal zipper cover rubbed against my Achilles tendon in a consistently uncomfortable way - that was really off putting. Now I know, I guess.

Zipper rips into heels. Even with socks/band aids. No need for zipper, can get on/off without unzipping. For the price would have expected to be more comfortable. Not sure how often I'll wear them and certainly not for extended period of time or lots of walking. Cute boot but really disappointed with comfort. Probably can't exchange as I wore them outside.

I have bought many pairs of Frye boots and this has got to be the cheapest made/craftsmanship I have seen. I am very disappointed. The boots soles look very cheap and don't look like they would last more than a year. The heal has some sort of spongy looking material-which seems to have replaced the more durable plastic that all of my other Frye boots have. The shearling is already separating from the leather outer due to poor sewing. The stitching on both boots has come loose. The boots arrived like this. I only tried the boots on in my home when I noticed the stitching coming loose. For a boot at this price to be so cheaply made and on sale from a much higher price is tragic-Shame on you Frye Boot Company-This is what happens when you source out to another country!

My New FAV! Amazing Boot..fits true to size...love the warm lining! I want more Frye with warmth! Just so Hip and Chic I wanted a pair like Jessica Jones...this is close enough!
