I first ordered these in gray in my usual 8.5, and ended up returning them for an 8, and they're still a little big but perfect with thick socks. They're so cute and I love the red zipper up the back, and they are comfortable to wear. However. I got these boots about 3 months ago, and have worn them 2-3 times/week since then (pretty typical wear, I'd think), and today noticed that the material is cracking/coming apart at the ankles. I thought they'd hold up a little better for the cost, and I'll continue wearing them (they're too worn to return now) but they don't seem like they will last until next fall. In retrospect I wish I would have spent my money on a pair that's a little more well-made!

My calf measures 17", and the boot seemed to miss that by at least 2". Also, the space where your foot goes was very roomy all over, so even if the calf fit, I would have probably returned them.

These boots are so cute with the red zipper, which is why I wanted them. However they are too cheap looking for me, so I have to send them back. They also run a little bit big. I usually wear an 8 I ordered a 7½ which was good but I could have maybe even gone with a 7.

These boots are cute but the sizing is off. I normally wear a 7 but ordered a 6½ after reading other reviews. These were too big so I ordered a 6. The 6 was fine in length but too tight in width. I love the colored zipper but it does not zip smoothly. The teeth on the zipper caught and you had to work to zip it up.

I wanted these to fit but the ankle was just too baggy. The calves were fine but the zipper was big and did not zip up smoothly. The material was okay but did not look or feel luxurious.

These are so cute and I love them. But they run a bit big. 7.5 was way too big and loose for me.

These boots fit true to size for me, but were very close to being too small around the calf, and I do not have big calves. I would not have been able to fit them over skinny jeans. They also look pretty cheap.

The boot is comfortable enough but I am finding some other quirks about them that are bothersome. Today is my first day wearing them and I paired them with a skirt. When I cross my legs the side buckles dig into my knee area and it is very uncomfortable. I find myself placing my skirt between my legs to keep them from hurting. And when I bend my legs the back of the boot chafes my thigh and I'm uncomfortable. But they are cute and I love the red zip closure in the back. Plus they run big, but it allows for a thicker sock to be worn in the winter and I can put my shoe supports in for additional comfort.

I loved these boots when I saw them. So I bought a pair, and now, a month later, I'm not so in love. I have skinnier calves, so the boot slumps and they really aren't that comfortable. Not only that, but the boots have kind of fallen apart. The heel is loose from the shoe, and it scuffs so easily. I'm disappointed!

Cheap. Very cheap looking. They're comfy (so long as you listen to all the reviews and get 1/2 a size smaller like I did) but cheap looking nonetheless. This may only be in the lighter brown fake leather because I'm actually also waiting on the brown fabric (fake suede I think) to be delivered today since the second these arrived I hated them and fabric probably won't look nearer as cheap as these. Not only did I hate the pleather but the stitching also made them look bad. The 2 positives are the red pop of color on the back zipper (very cute) and the fit of them in the shaft are pretty nice. I hate when boots make your calves look deformed when you bend your leg in a certain way. Lots of boots do that and it turns me off to them immediately. As for sizing of the shaft, I was pleased like I said but my calves are 13.5 inches around (though I could've been 15 inch and they still would've fit, though tighter and stretchier) Somehow, someway (really this is a shocker) I found yet another pair today, at Target of all places, that I'm super super stoked on. Been wearing them for about 2 hours and they're super comfy but almost more importantly, they look really nice and have an awesome buckle (much improved from this Madden Girl style). They're made by Mossimo (which doesn't surprise me since I frequently like the stuff they make) and were only a great price. What?! Yeah I'm shocked and stoked all at once and in the end (if I like the brown fabric version of these that are arriving later today) then I'll end up keeping both since they (together) cost less than what I was willing to spend in the first place. I guess I'll have to write another review on the brown fabric ones later but as for the lighter brown ones, do yourself a favor and (if you're as picky as I am) don't buy 'em. I know you think you want to but don't, well, unless you get them from Zappos b/c they rock and have free shipping both ways so no loss...

The boots were very cheap looking. Like plastic/rubber? Looked okay on because the overall boot is cute. If they were 15.00 I'd keep but not for this price. I usually buy a 9 in boots; these were too small. I wear a 9 1/2 in other shoes.

Blah! I was so looking forward to these boots. I ordered half a size down and they were another full size too big! Not only that but they were much taller than I had anticipated. Granted I am only 5'1" but they came all the way to my knees. Not very flattering on a shorty such as myself. Oh well.

Bought these for my daughter for Christmas. Loved them at first(althought they were very big). But they completely ripped out befoe winter was even over!

I currently own pair of madden girl boots, I've had them for going on 2 years now. I decided to get a new pair and I thought these would be great. I got them in a size bigger than I normally would, an 8.5, I did it for the calf size. I didn't think I would need the size larger cause my current pair is a 7.5. When I received them I tried them on without jeans on and after 5 minutes of fighting the zipper they zipped up and then I tried them on with my jeans and to my disappointment they no longer zipped up. I'm currently returning them, if you have larger calves such as myself I do not recommend these for you, but if you enjoy fighting zippers I would highly recommend these for you.

I ordered these boots about two months ago, and I've been wearing them just about every day. I really liked them, but the bottom of the right boot is coming off the rest of the boot, so now they're completely useless. I expected them to last at least one season.

Not satisfied with this boot. The overall construction is cheap. Initially out of the box these looked great, but after one wear the toe began to break down. Material is cheap and these may last one season if I am lucky. Truly disappointed and wish I could return them. Worth the money at best.

These boots ripped in half on the bottom part within a week of having them. I used shoeglue on them and they lasted a couple of months but there's only so much shoeglue can do. The zipper is also finicky and sometimes rips. They are adorable and received many complements on them but they were not worth the cost.

Wanted to love these boots as they were exactly what I was looking for, but I agree with another reviewer that that angle was flimsy. I think the ankle needs to be more fitted, and without reinforcement, they bend/slouch funny. I'm normally a 7.5, and the 7 fit great if the ankle was more fitted to hold the boot up. So sad to send back, but not worth the price...not even close.

I am usually a size 8, and they were too big, returned them for a 7.5, but my heel was still slipping when I was walking. Returning these too. They are really cute, just wished they fit right.
