I'm only 5'1" so wearing this boot was quite uncomfortable since it keep hitting the back of my knee! I wouldn't recommend buying these boots if you have short calves like I do. Also the way that they sewn the top part of the boot was crooked. It's only noticeable if someone else is with you when you're trying it on. I'm afraid that after wearing these boots for awhile they might give me feet problems so I'm returning these. Also I recommend order half a size larger so you can insert insole into these for a more comfortable wear if you do decide to buy them!

Cute boots, they run a bit large. And the zipper doesn't zip very smoothly. Still, they are comfortable, cute, and are a true gray, which is hard to find.

Great boots. Fits a 1/2 size big. I'm an 8 1/2, I bought an 8 1/2 but an 8 would've fit perfectly. Wear thick socks to accommodate that and it's all good. Gave 4 stars for the oversize fit. I like roomy boots but not that much because they're kind of wide. Otherwise super cute.

The boots are really cute but for people with wide calves. I followed the other reviews and went down a half size which was perfect, but they are so wide around the calves that they look silly with skinny jeans and they kind of slouch down. Sadly, I have to return them but they are cute!

Super cute boots! Runs about a half size larger. I'm a size 7 and had to send that pair back for a 6 1/2 which still feels a little larger than marked.

Oh, man, I LOVED these boots when I opened up the box. Having read the reviews that said they run large, I ordered a 8 when I normally order an 8.5. My fit slid perfectly into the shoe itself, but I couldn't get the boots themselves to zip up around my calves. I haven't ever had to order "wide calf" boots before, so this was pretty devastating for me. I think the "girl" in Madden Girl must refer to the fact that these boot dimensions were made for a teenager.

Beautiful shoes, but it is not true to its size. I am size 8 and even 7 1/2 is way too big.

I loved these boots, great style, very comfortable. But they were too tall for me, so sadly they are headed back.

These boots look cute and are comfy. They are thin and very large in the heel for me, even with thick socks. They run a little big which is good for me because I wear a size 10.5 which is not made in a lot of shoes. They are a little overpriced in my opinion based on the materials used. I still love them and will wear them this winter.

I really love these boots. I ordered the cognac color. I get TONS of compliments every time I wear them...people especially like the pop of color along the red zipper! I have found them to be extremely comfortable, although I did order them a half-size up based on other customer reviews. They fit perfectly with enough room for warm socks. I do not have a high arch, and I typically only wear flats, so these feel just right to me without any sore feet at the end of the day. The shaft circumference is just right to allow leggings, although I don't think I could fit anything heavier. I have pretty average sized calves. Living in Florida, I don't really need heavier-weight pants, even on the coldest days, so this won't be a problem for me. I do find that the buckle and zipper dig right into my opposite knee when I cross my legs, and this is the one and only complaint I'd say I have about these boots. If you look closely, you can tell that they are not real leather, but most people don't get that close. I am all-around pleased with them!

So cute! The red zipper on the back is so striking. These do run a bit large, and I was glad I read the earlier reviews about sizing. I am normally a size 8, but ordered a 7.5 in this boot based on the reviews and when they arrived, they were still slightly too big. So I ordered a 7, and they fit perfect! I never fit into a 7, so the sizing on these is certainly off. Definitely order a half size or full size smaller. But otherwise, these shoes are great!

I am in love with my new grey boots and I am receiving multiple compliments. I think my favorite part is how wide the calf part truly is. I would be cautious as they are suede type material which I probably just did not read that part of the description when purchasing. Beware if it rains where you plan to wear these boots.

I agree with other recommendations to order half to a full size smaller. I ordered half a size smaller and they fit perfectly. Unfortunately, that may have decreased the shaft circumference because I could only zip them about halfway up my calf (I have 16" calves). I am not sure if these are considered wide-shaft boots, but they did not work for me. Style-wise, they are a little bikerish looking, but the zipper is cute.

Very cute boot. It is pretty good quality. Looks cute with jeans and skirts. I am 5.0 ft. 100 lb. size 5. They fit even with how short I am. Love the red zippers!

I am generally pleased with these boots. I bought them in the cognac and black colors on a whim, hoping they'd be worth it. They look nice. I like the colors on the zippers. My only complaint is that after wearing them for a few weeks, they've stretched out a little bit. I used to have to zip them up, but now I can just slip in and out (a good and bad thing). I like to think that my legs/calves are a normal size so I'm not sure if it's just the material. Regardless, I think it's a good product, and will keep my feet warm this winter.

Good option to the Cactuss, which isn't really "black." Not quite as good a fit or styling, but still a great, lightweight, comfortable boot for man-made materials.

These boots are very cute! They run big. I am a 9.5 and size 9 was still big. They are beneath the knee not that, omg. I had to return them way to big on me.

Super cute boots that are made well. However, they have a very wide calf area and fit about 1/2 to 1 size smaller than your regular size.

Love these boots! The contrast zipper is my favorite part, and the ruching on the arch is cute. They are a looser fit boot around the calves, I am 5'8 and athletic and have plenty of room without my legs swimming in them, the length is great. The zipper is a little stiff which is why I rated 4 not 5 overall. Great value too.

I ordered a half size smaller than my size, which varies from 8 1/2-9, the 8 felt still a little too big. I think I probably would of loved these boots, had they fit my calves like I thought they would, my calves are about 16" around at the biggest part, the boots wouldn't zip all the way up.

They are not true to size. I ordered an 8½ and they are huge. Even with thick socks they are too big for me. I would order one size smaller. They are good boots for this price. I mean not great quality but a steal for the price. I like them but I am going to have to return for a different size.

I have the brown and love the red zipper detail. They are very cute. I wear a size 9 in boots. The nine was more like a 10. I returned them, thanks Zappos, for an 8 1/2. I had to put inserts in them to fill up the space. Also, the calf or shaft is really wide. After 7 wearings, they fall down since it's fabric. I like the look, but needed an much smaller size.

Loved these boots, and I get so many compliments on them! They're comfy, true to size, and go with so many different outfits. Previously, I would have highly recommended them, however tonight, after 3 months of minimal to moderate use, the heel separated from the sole of the boot. I'm sorely disappointed these didn't hold up better, as I'm not rough with them, and because I work in a job requiring professional attire I only get to wear these on weekends (when I'm not wearing other shoes of course). So they lasted about 3 months being only worn mostly on weekends...being generous let's say I wore them about 20 times. Very disappointed they didn't last longer. Considering taking them to be repaired, since Zappos won't take them back after they're worn, but disappointed that only 3 months later I'm spending money on repairs. Adorable, comfortable, but low quality.

I had to return these fabulous boots because they were too tight at the top and one boot was actually tighter than the other. I do not have fat calves, so I was disappointed because they are so cute. If you want to wear jeans under these boots and you have normal sized calves, this is not going to happen. I eventually got the one boot closed with my husband yanking on the zipper, but it was so tight that it squeezed my calf, making it look fat! The shoe portion was perfect, though.
