I ordered these boots and they are very nice. I am returning them as they are too wide for me. I do have wide leg but very wide for someone that needs them. Nice boot.

My calfs are wide and these boots fit perfectly! Finally a truly extra wide calf fit. I love the look, too. They are high quality and stylish.

Hooray for boots that fit! These look & feel wonderful. The combination of a wider toe box & shaft mean that I can comfortably wear boots this year with "skinny jeans" and skirts.

I’m mainly disappointed these did not come through with a truly extra wide shaft circumference. The listed dimensions have a shaft circumference of only 18.75 in, which I personally would call a ‘wide’ shaft, not extra wide. However, several reviewers had indicated that there’s quite a bit of stretch due to the goring on the back of the calf and I hoped it would accommodate my 20 inch calf due to the stretch. Definitely not. I couldn’t zip this up past the first part of my ankle. And the goring had extremely limited stretch to it. Overall they’re a nice enough boot, but I had a hard time seeing a quality that truly seemed to justify the $290 price point. They feel like an average quality of construction/workmanship, and honestly the upper seems like an imitation leather even though I know it’s listed as being real leather - it just had that lower quality feel to it (and for what it’s worth didn’t smell like real leather either). My two cents: For truly extra wide calf girlies, I’d keep looking. For those who have the right size calves for these boots, I feel like you can find an equivalent quality product at a lower price point.

my granddaughter needs a wide calf and this is just too tight.

The shaft was enormous and made the boot bunch around the ankles in an unflattering way.

These were just what I was looking for. The foot bed was a touch narrow but I have worn them twice and it has clearly stretched enough not to be uncomfortable. I was able to put in a half arch support and can wear these all day now. Wish they came in brown!

The boots fit and look great. My only issue is that they had obviously been worn at least one time outside. There was gravel stuck inside the tread. The tread wasn't worn down at all and I liked them so much I kept them.

The calves were way too big (I have big calves, am 5'2 and 138 pounds) but they were swimming on me. Also, the height of the boots was taller than expected (reviews said the height was good for shorter people) and would definitely rub the back of my knee when driving. Also, the footbed felt like a size 7 (I ordered a 6). I am a solid size 6 in almost everything, so I think these run big. HOWEVER! the leather was supple and beautiful and the boot was really well made. The buckle looked like quality and the soles were well glued and substantial. If these fit me, they would be my favorite boots. Unless you have really big calves, these will not look great, even if you tuck in jeans.

These were not even close to being a wide shoe - especially claiming to be a wider width. I buy wide more for comfort and I couldn't even get my foot all the way in.

so sad to send these boots back. They were beautiful. They were too big at the top even with skinny jeans on.

These are pretty comfortable boots. The width is great, and they're true to size I've received several compliments on them. They do press in a little just above the ankle on the zipper side. I didn't notice while I was wearing them, but after my legs had a little bruised spot (I bruise easy).

I have 18.5" calves, and so you can imagine how difficult it is to find a pair of boots that actually fit. These are absolutely perfect - when they say wide-shaft, they mean it! I can wear them comfortably over leggings and jeans, and they look good. The back stretchy part is a little obvious, but if it means I can wear long boots, I'll take it!

Wow, these were REALLY wide on the calves. I also didn't care for the stretchy fabric in the back.

I really like this boot, but the I ordered 7.5 extra wide shaft, which fits my large calves just fine, but the shoe part is just too big. Unfortunately will be returning & hopes that a smaller size boot doesn't mean a smaller shaft.

I am short and round with short legs and big calves. Finding boots is tough. These are very well made and the leather is beautiful. The calf was truly wide enough in 9 1/2, like 19” plus. However, the ankles tapered a LOT. These are clearly made for athletes, not plus-sized short women with short legs and thick ankles! After struggling to get them zipped every day, one of the zippers eventually broke. I only had them about a year too. Very sad. So if you have long legs and thin ankles with a wide calf, go for it.

I have large, very hard to fit feet. These weren’t bad in the foot (10 WW), but the ankles bagged and the top circumference was too big (I measured about 18”). A little too clunky/casual for what I was seeking - I’d like something a little dressier for wearing to work with skirts.

I really do LIKE these boots! In order for me to fall in LOVE, however, the top of the shaft would need to be more form fitting. They look exactly like they do in the picture, in that they are very loose & gap around my calves. I do understand that they are intended to be a WIDE calf, but the stretchy section allows for that! I did wear these all day, while walking around Woodstock & throughout a long weekend in the snow. They survived! And were quite comfy! I was wearing leggings, so perhaps if the wearer had on jeans or pants it wouldn't gap so much! I wouldn't discourage anyone from getting them, as they are a GREAT boot!! Enjoy!!

These are fairly comfortable. I ordered a wide width because the medium width wasn't available in my size. They are wider if you order the wide width. The shaft was not extra wide but it was wider than a standard boot. The elastic in the back allows you to zip over wider calves, but they didn't zip easily. That said, they were not uncomfortable once zipped...just too wide in the foot for me.

These boots were just as I expected them to be - they seem to be pretty well made and after wearing them all days yesterday I can confirm that they're pretty comfortable though they did squish down a bit causing creases at the ankle that rubbed a bit, but not enough to bother me too much yet.The stretchy panel in the back that is necessary for those of us without twigs for lower legs is not the most attractive feature, but serves the purpose of accommodating calf muscles that are used for hiking, indoor cycling, etc. I do love the color and will be wearing these quite a lot this fall!

I have these in both the black and the brown. I usually wear a size 11 and sometimes need arch support inserts. I tried the 11EE and arch support was not there for me. So I tried them with Superfeet Premium Orange insert but my toes were touching the tips of the boot. So I got the 12EE and with the inserts fit much better. I also have very large calves 18" and these zipped up with no problems. The rear stretch panel in the back of the boot gives it a nice look. I have tried extra wide shaft boots in the past and didn't like how the ankle area looked (so tiny) in comparison to the upper part of the boot. The style of this boot is better and proportioned. I gave it four stars for overall and comfort because of inserts I needed to make it comfortable for me. I love these boots!

I ordered this boot after trying on several styles at stores in my area and finding that my calves are just too wide for the standard boots offered. While I like the flexibility of some stretch, I usually do not like the appearance of the stretch material. These boots, on the other hand, offer the flexibility of stretch in the calf with a very nice look. The real leather is very soft and has a great look. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8 in dress shoes and the size 8 fit me perfectly. My feet are very flat and I need support to be comfortable. These boots offered enough comfort that I wore them to a wedding and danced in them for 4 hours without aches and pains in my arches. My calves measure 18.5 inches around and I was able to wear these and even tuck in my skinny jeans!

I am thrilled with these boots! I have ordered and sent back boots countless times because I have a muscular calf that's hard to fit. These are actually a little big in the calf, but I don't mind! I can wear them with jeans or leggings and zip them up with no problem. I ordered a wide width because typically I need it, but I could have ordered a standard. I did pick up a sport insole to take up some of the roominess and add a little more cushion. I can wear them all day without a problem. The leather is soft and they look great. I am very happy with the purchase!
