I love the classic look. The inside feels comfortable, but the front edge rubs on my big toe area and I do not want to risk never wanting to wear these because I cannot get them to break in. I am reluctantly returning them.

I ordered these in a wide but they were still narrow, and caused me to have pain around my big toe joint. I wish I hadn't worn them outside and had just brought them back, but it is so hard to tell if a shoe is true to width just walking in the house.

I have a narrow heel and I step right out of these. Perhaps if they were available in a narrow, they would work, but these don't. I like the look, however. I have to rate the arch support on these on the review form, but it's hard to tell because the shoe was too wide at the back for my foot.

I was hopeful when I ordered these since I liked the pleated look around the toe. However, the shoe was too wide for me. It has good cushioning. In person it didn't look as cute as I had hoped.

I am returning these because they are actually too big. My heel slips right out. I am not exchanging them for a size down because I just do not love them that much. They are kind of "eh" in person.

Love, LoVe, LOVE the style. I should have read the reviews though. In am now returning my second pair, hoping the third time will be a charm! I usually wear an 8. Universally. But not in this shoe. I ordered a half size smaller and really wanted to love them, but my feet still fell out occasionally as I walked around the house. Now I am ORDERing A FULL SIZE SMALLER, hoping that will do the trick. Thank you Zappos, for making this experience as pain free as possible!

These shoes run really long. I'm usually a 7, sometimes a 6.5. I first purchased a 7, but they were way too long, so I returned them and got a size 6.5. The left 6.5 size shoe is too long, so I'm returning them, too. I'm sad about it, since these felt comfortable otherwise. At this point I'm afraid to try yet a third size.

I wanted to like these, I really did. My feet are pretty normal....no bunions, etc..Right foot has always been a little bigger. Put the right shoe on - felt great - almost like a slipper. Really comfy. However the left foot cut across the inside near the big toe so much it sent shooting pains up my leg. Tried walking around the house a bit to see if it would stretch or break in at all - just got worse. Almost like a defective shoe but I couldn't see anything wrong with it. Since the leather is really stiff I didn't have hopes it would get better. Since the length was perfect and if anything a tad wide at the heel I didn't want to try a "wide" version. The dark blue was almost black (almost can't tell them from black) so I decided to send them back, as they were cute but not blue enough and killed my feet.

I really liked the look of these flats, but they just didn't work for my feet. I wear an 8 1/2 to 9. The 8 1/2's were swimming on my feet. The length wasn't too bad, but they were really wide on my feet and there were gaps at the sides. They just looked too clunky on my feet. I did love the color and the detailing. They will probably work well for people with wider feet.

These run pretty big -- so big that I need both inserts and heel cushions to keep them on. I also think they may be synthetic because they are pretty warm (and get kind of stinky kind of fast). Look a little more matronly than I expected...but all that said, I still like them. They seem to resist scuffs pretty well and are understated, but the toe design adds a little something. Pretty comfy too -- once you add enough padding!

I was hoping to find a pair of flats that are stylish for work and are comfortable to walk around Manhattan all day. I don't wear heels *ever*, so I also need something that could work with a skirt as well as dress pants. These shoes are a little cushioned, but they're not great. I normally wear a 10, but it was huge, so I went with the 9 1/2. It's still a little big and wide. The shoes aren't as dressy looking as I had hoped, since the pewter is very muted and hardly shiny at all. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect shoes.

Wish I would of kept the 5 1/2 instead of the 6! I've only worn these shoes twice and they stretched so much I walk right out of them! Great looking shoe but didn't keep it's shape. Wouldn't recommend.

Leather was squeaky and size 8 was about quarter of a size too large (I wear a true 8). Beautiful rich brown color but the squeaking and fit are too troublesome for such an expensive flat.

This shoe is made of very nice leather and is a nice looking flat. The shoe is cut narrower in the toe area which makes it quite uncomfortable. Returning them to find a flat with more toe room.

Style is very cute. I looked for a long time to find flats with good cushioning and support, hoping for all-day comfort. Unfortunately, these shoes just did not fit my feet. I am normally a 9.5 but can fit 9 or 10 depending on the shoes, so I tried all three sizes in the Pewter. The 9.5 and 10 were loose in the heel so my foot slipped out when walking. The 9 did not slip off, but then they were too small in the toe area – they pinched my toes together and pressed down on my big toe nail which made them painful to wear. I would recommend at least trying them on though, because if the fit happens to be right for your feet then I think they would end up being very cute and comfortable.

I have been looking for a ballet flat with arch support. I thought these were the answer, but unfortunately not. First let me tell you want I like about them: Good grain of leather. Looks stylish. There is cusion for support. Here's the single reason they won't work. I usually wear an 8 or an 8 1/2 depending on the brand. I have a black patent leather in an size 8 and went down to a size 7 1/2 in black leather -- which now fit after weeks of breaking them in wearing them around the house. My feet won't have survived breaking the 7 1/2 in outside of the house. With both the size 8 and now the 7 1/2 my right heel slips completely out of the shoe to a degree that interfers with walking. There is nothing I have tried, insoles or attaching adhesive heel guards inside the shoe to stop the slippage from happening. I have never experienced this with other brands and styles of shoe. It's a pretty shoe, and I'm disappointed. I'll have to keep them too because I stuck all shoe aids in the shoes to try to make them fit for walking.

I have been looking for ballet flats with arch support for a long time. These have great support and are adorable. I was thrilled at first. I usually wear an 8 1/2, but even the 8s are too wide in the heel. The heels slip off making it impossible to walk in them. I have worn ballet flats for years with no heel slipping problems, except for this shoe. Now I am trying a 7 1/2, which is really too small, but it's the only way to prevent the heels from sleeping off. Of course, now the toes are too tight in the smaller size. I don't know if it will even work, but I'm trying to stretch the leather by wearing them around the house before attempting to take a walk outside of pavement. It appears I've given up on finding the perfect ballet flats for walking.

I ordered this shoe in two colors. I needed some dressy shoes, and can't wear anything but Earth, because of some vascular issues. I wore the other color, and found it to run too large for me.

I just received these shoes and wanted to like them and did like their look. They do run wide, though and gap on the side of one shoe. They slip off the heel; I guess that's part of them being wide. I bought some heel grips, but didn't put them in after I discovered another problem; the cushioning insert does not extent to the end of the inside of the shoes. There's about 1/3 inch where my toes extend beyond the inserts. Too many problems; they have to go back.

I have relatively narrow feet but generally do fine in medium shoes. However these shoes were way too wide in a medium. Otherwise these are cute shoes. I am sending them back.

I had high hopes for this shoe.Ended up extremely disappointed. It is stylish enough for a flat but failed in comfort. I was expecting good arch support and comfort that would be sufficient to see me through hours of standing. Sadly this was not the shoe to do this. If I could return them I would.

These shoes were okay. If they were $30 shoes, I would have kept them. I did not feel they offered enough quality or comfort for the price tag. I returned them.

These are weirdly clunky in person; I wanted a ballet flat with arh support and while I guess these technically fit the bill, they just look heavy. I also felt like they made my size 8.5's look HUGE, which is weird for a ballet flat. They are comfortable, though.
