I wear an 6 or 6.5 depending on the manufacturer. Since I didn't know anything about Keen I ordered a 6.5 These boots were snug around my ankle and foot. You would have to wear a very thin sock. So, I reordered a 7. These were better around the foot; however, still tight at the ankle. So I returned both. The boots are nice looking but very, very stiff. I have to wonder if you could ever break them in. I ended up buying the Khombu Quechee Stingray - this one comes to just below the knee and very comfortable and the fur feels almost real.

I want to buy the Betty Boot original! This will do however it is more stiff around the ankle and just a bit too high that it's tight around where my calf starts. Dear Keen please bring back the BETTY! feels like it may be warmer (sweaty) I'll know more after the first snow!

I've had my eye on these boots for a year but couldn't find them in my size, so I was pretty pumped up to finally find them. Sigh....I was disappointed. I never even tried them on, so my comment on fit-width and comfort is not accurate. I expected a much better quality and a nicer looking boot. The color was true, but the nubuck leather upper looked cheap and the faux shearling looked very cheap. I thought there would be more substance to the boot overall. Was also hoping they'd be just a tad taller, but that was not the deal breaker.

I have a wide foot and a high arch so I thought these would be a good fit for me, but they were too big in all directions. I normally wear a 7.5 and ordered a 7.5 but these were so big I could pull them on and off without unzipping the handy zipper. They also have a very wide toe box (think clown shoes) typical of Keens. Unfortunately they are going back because they are just too clunky, and I have decided to keep the North Face Jozie instead.

I love the look of this boot. But the top is too wide and rubs my calves horribly with every step. And with no way to snug it around the calves these have to go back.

I bought the Betty Boot I last year. It has been such a winter this year that I have been wearing them for two months straight. I like them, they have good traction, and are warm, comfortable and from some angles, at least, attractive. But in looking at the Betty II here, I would not buy (I am looking for a second pair of boots) because they are taller (why? not necessary) and very much more expensive.

The pros are 1) nice looking boot, 2) large toe box for people who have problems in that area (like me), and 3) keeps snow and water out. The cons are the boot is extremely difficult to put on and take off. It is a very stiff boot. I bought it a size larger and was glad I did.

This is a very stiff boot! the sole has little flex to it, which would work for lots of snow, but the upper is too stiff to be comfortable. The length seems to be on par with other Keens I've worn and felt to be pretty close size. But the upper was narrow and a bit difficult to zip because of it, and the bottom was narrow as well. Not going to work if I'm wear thick socks and out all day. Hate to send it back, but it must go.

It is unfortunate that the boots did not fit. They are too tight across the top of my feet. I love Zappos for their excellent service and return policy. I will find different boots through Zappos.

These run small compared to the KEENs I currently own. The shaft of this boot was quite narrow. Though I liked their style, I will have to return them. :(

These are not great for wider calfs. The foot area is great, with excellent padding, no area that rubs my ankle, and a removeable insole so I can fit my orthotics. However, I could barely zip them up! I do normally prefer wide calf boots. Alas, they were quite cushioned and nice otherwise.

Appearance from afar is very stylish, but the boot is on you realize it's rather mannish. I prefer a slimmer profile around the toes and this doesn't have it! Comfort-wise it felt very nice.

Cute boot - but very narrow in calf. Not enough room for heavy socks and pants if you want to tuck in.

Pain in the Ankle! Where the front and side insets meet right on the inner anklebone-ouch. On wearing for about 2 hours, both inner ankle bones are sore to the touch...even the next day. Had wanted to love these, great traction. warm, but never had a pair of boots that hurt so bad. Have Keen sandals and love them. They did not hurt in a 5 min. try on but out the door to shovel snow and painful by 20 min in. Never again, so disappointed.

I am sooo disappointed. I have the old version of the Betty Boot which I love. They were perfect, however it was time for a new pair. The new version just does not fit. The leg of the boot is taller, I have big legs and I could not zip it up all the way. It also felt like the bottom of leg was much looser and there was so much room around my ankles. I need more ankle support. Even the old version provided that. I am returning, sadly.

This boot is really good quality and pretty decent style for the price. The toe is just a teenie bit too squared-off for comfort - my big toe hit the hard rubber, even with thin socks on and simply standing up in them. I can't imagine actually walking in them - I feel like they'd kill my toes after a few minutes of wearing. I'm returning them but will try a half size larger because I really like all the other features and want them to work! Keeping fingers crossed.

These run short. I ordered an 11 and they fit weird they are loose in the heel so my foot slides down and toes hit the front of the boot. I compared them to Merrells and they are nowhere near as comfortable.

Nice looking boot. Seemed true to size, but I ordered half size larger than what I normally wear. Not a lot of arch support and it had an uncomfortable feeling in the inside arch of my left foot like there was a crease there so I returned them.

d Keen's because they typically have enough room in the toe box for my extra long toes. I have a size 10 foot, and sometimes order Keen's in a half size larger, but after reading the previous reviews, I ordered them in a 10. Unfortunately the toe box was not big enough, and it was way too big in the heel. They are attractive looking and feel like they would be really warm, but unfortunately they will be going back.

I wear an 8 in other brands and find that an 8.5 fits me well in Keen shoe and sandals. So I ordered a 9, to be safe, and was surprised that I had to work hard to get the boot on because it ran so small on me. It was very tight and as other commenters have noted, stiff as well. I sent the boots back. Disappointed, because I like Keens and it has been a very long winter.

I really wanted to like this boots, but they were very uncomfortable and have strong smell of rubber. I tried to walk in them, but they are stiff and way bigger than my usual 9.5 size. The sole is comfortable though. Too bad...

Nice looking boot, looks well made. However it's pointless since you can't wear it over jeans unless you are a toothpick. It's a very stiff boot. These are going back.

I loved these boots and they are so comfy BUT they are not waterproof. I sloshed through some wet snow and my feet were SOAKED! So disappointed.
