I already have this boot in the charcoal color and I can't say enough good things about them. They have been my go to winter boot for the last 3 years and still look as good as new. They are stylish yet so comfortable I can wear them all day. I can wear a thick sock in them for extra warmth and they are great in snow, ice and all that comes with upstate New York winters. I just received them in the cafe color and I can't wait for the cold to get here so I can start wearing them too. Yes they are expensive but in my opinion they are worth every penny. I will always have these in my shoe wardrobe. Going to get the black pair next. I've had so many compliments on these boots and so many of my friends (and my daughters) have ordered them and are also in love with them. Highly recommended.

A little pricey, but oh so comfy! These were a nice addition to my winter shoe wardrobe. When I didn't want to wear my rubber boots, these were just right.

Beyond comfortable...highly recommend. They look so cute with skinny jeans. I got the brown color & they are distressed, great color. I also got the green to compare but I liked brown much better.

Finally a feminine and fashionable snow boot! Love this shoe! I have been looking for several seasons to find a water-resistant snow boot that would be comfortable and functional...but that was not a big clunky unflattering style. This is it! The boots run large. I'm a true 8 and the 7.5 fits perfectly. The wedge is the perfect height and the traction on the bottom gives solid footing. Perfect.

Don't buy these boots. Because then you'll look as cool as me! Seriously, these have fierce styling but unbelievable comfort. I live in a rural area and save these for my city excursions. Never fails but I am stopped and asked about them. Lighter weight than they look. I went with my true size and don't regret it.

Amazing boots. I have had these for about a year now and wear them all the time. I never wear anything with a heel because I like ultimate comfort, but these wedges are incredibly comfortable and are my only exception. I have worn these for hours on end dancing and they've never bothered me. I've also worn them to an outdoor show in pouring rain and they were perfect. Durable, comfortable, attractive, amazing.

I have a lot of shoes, especially boots. These are the coolest, most comfy of all. Wish they made them in black!

I can't say enough good things about this boot. The only negative is that they weren't available in my #1 color choice, but I'm still loving the ones I got! I had read other reviews who said that the boots ran big, so I ordered a half size smaller than what I usually wear and they fit perfectly! I was a little concerned about the width as well, as I have wider feet, but they're perfect! Plus, the heel height is perfect for longer jeans. Gives your leg a sexy long look! I would buy this boot again, for sure!

Totally worth the price! These are my favorite go to boots! I was skeptical about wearing them for the full day but after I did, I was very happy. The soles of my feet didn't hurt at all and they were comfortable! Get them now! They are worth every dollar!

So glad I bought these. These boots are definitely the most expensive pair of shoes I have ever bought. I am glad I did. They are incredibly comfortable and super cute style. I love the wedge, they add a good amount of height and are easy to walk in. They really are waterproof, as I have walked in snow with them. Excellent purchase.

The perfect winter boot. Super stylish yet functional. I brought these for a trip to NYC. The weather forecast called for snow and these handled the elements perfectly. Straight out of the box, these boots were comfortable and allowed me to walk all over the city easily. I wear a size 9 normally and ordered a 9. They fit perfectly with regular socks with a little extra room if I decide to wear extra thick socks.

These boots are amazing. They look fashionable, they are waterproof, warm, and despite the wedge heel, I can walk through snow & on ice without slipping. Also, I can wear them at work all day & my feet do not hurt! Miracle boots, I tell ya.

I love these boots. That should be enough. But I'll go on. These boots are really good looking, super sturdy, and incredibly comfortable. I can wear them all day long, stand around, walk a city, whatever, and my troubled feet still feel fine -- as fine as they'd feel in any comfortable shoe, except these have height. They did feel larger and wider than their actual size, but that's fine; my really wide feet get cold no matter the weather and these shoes allow me to wear all the giant smartwool socks I tuck away in my drawers because no other shoes I own accommodate such thick socks with my wide feet. I've pretty much worn these shoes every day since I received them. I'm debating buying another pair because when these die, my heart will die a little along with them.

I forgot to mention I wear a size 7.5 or 8 and I bought these in the 8.The fit is perfect. I thought they would be too high for me to walk in but no problem. I went outside to salt the icy sidewalks and they grip great. I highly recommned these boots.

I love these boots. I have arthritis in my feet and need to buy wide shoes. These boots are comfortable and do not hurt my feet at all. I thought they would be too clunky but they are great for winters in New Jersey. Love them! I bought the grill black because you could wear them with brown, black and blue jeans. Many compliments on them.

No joke, these are awesome! Definitely run 1/2 large. I am a 7-7.5 and the 6.5 fit with med socks. Would get another color if I could!

Based on reviews and the fit of other Sorel boots I own, I ordered 1/2 size down. The boot fit great with a little room to spare in the heel. The boots are very comfortable and have great traction on snow and ice. I would highly recommend these Joan of Arctic Wedge boots!

WOW! I believe that is the correct response here right? LMAO Ok, I'm not going to lie, the sizing can be tricky on these boots. I wear 7.5 to 8 and a solid 39. I can wear these boots in both 7.5 and 8; and, I WILL (I bought 2 pair lol). I have the grill color in 7.5 and they fit great with a thin to medium trouser sock or thick tights. I got the black in an 8 and there is enough room for the thick cozy socks. I wear them with leggings, jeans rolled up a bit to show them off, and dresses with tights. SOme have said they are too "mad max" but Max and I go way back. LOL LOVE THESE BOOTS! And, I think they really are 3 season wearable. The 3 inch heel is not a problem, they are very comfortable and the traction on ice is good. (The salt just wipes off with a damp cloth.) I live in NJ and we are getting dumped on with snow and ice - now I don't have to change my boots when I get to the office. YEA!

These boots are amazing in comfort and in great looks! I am a hairdresser in the rainy Pacific NW and I love boots. These boots are perfectly comfortable to stand in all day while at work and I am complimented on them daily. I love these boots!

I'm actually shocked at how comfortable these boots are. They're proper snow boots - waterproof, traction, the whole deal. I can do my commute and whole work day in them. I didn't find them to run large like some other reviewers here. I ordered my regular size 10 and they fit perfectly. I do have a larger ankle, so those with thinner ones may find them a bit loose. Overall really worth it.

Well now I can join the many other reviewers in saying WOW. These are so stylish, so soft, so comfortable that I wore them out of the box with great glee. How I love it when it is a "once-and-done" order! After reading many reviews, I saw that those who wore a Size 9 in other shoes went half a size down. Reluctantly I did, but it worked out! With thin socks I found I had to force my toes forward to get to the tip of the shoe, with my thicker Smartwool socks it fits just right. This material feels like it will stretch out some more with wear. I give this shoe all the stars it deserves! Don't hesitate to get it!

I have been admiring my friend's boots for almost a year now. She has the tall version (which has been discontinued). She loves her pair! I finally splurged and am happy with my purchase! My only regret is that I also bought a size 7½ directly from Sorel since everyone was saying to get half a size smaller. Zappos only had stock of sizes 8 and larger. I should have just stuck to my size 8 from Zappos! I returned the 7½ (they were way too tight) to Sorel and had to pay return shipping. Ugh! This is why I do not want to shop anywhere else but Zappos. They have the best customer service and I love the free return shipping!

I haven't worn these yet, but just got them in the mail and tried them on. I read the reviews on sizing down and was on the fence. I rarely size down. I usually wear a 10 in boots and am in between a 9.5-10 in shoes, depending on how pointy the toes are. I ordered the grill/black in 9.5 and they fit really well. There's room in the heel, but the toes and length are fine. If you lean towards a solid 10 in shoes, you might consider the 10 in these, but if you're in between, I would go down half a size. I was worried about the wedge height, but they don't feel like 3+ inch heels. I'm looking forward to wearing them and dressing them up and down. The grill/black can go both rugged and slightly dressy, with some tweed pants or skirt and tights. I wore regular socks with these, but will have room to wear thicker socks. Looking forward to trying them in the snow!
