Adore the style of these boots and they keep my feet (and calves) warm and dry. BUT it took three pairs before I could find the right size! I usually wear a 6.5 or 7, but I had to go up to an 8 to get these to fit. And I never ever wear an 8! Now that I have the right size, I truly love them, but I nearly missed getting them altogether because sizes started selling out this winter.

I bought these actually from Sorel as Zappos was out of my size. The right boot fit very well but the left boot was almost impossible to get on. The left boot also seemed to have a smaller leather upper and their is a weird bunch on the arch on the left boot. I was able to get the left boot on with the plastic bag trick and I am hoping that it stretches enough that it won't be a struggle to get on. Overall I like the boot and love the look but the craftsmanship could be better. Once I get them on they are comfortable.

Love these boots and wished they had worked out. I recommend ordering a full size up. Normally take a 7.5 and ordered the 8 but felt my toes up against the shoe and I love wearing thick socks - an 8.5 would have been perfect. Sadly they are out of stock.

These are really cute and functional boots for winter in Northern MI. I did have to return my original pair (size 7) in exchange for a 7.5. I knew that I wanted to be able to wear them with a thicker sock and the 7.5 allows for that. Since this boot is shape more like a shoe, the fit is narrow compared to other Sorel styles. I own the Cate the Great boot and it's much larger overall. This has more support for walking. I really like how the upper part of the boot allows for you to cinch in or expand based on what you're wearing/calf size.

These boots are super stylish and I find them very comfortable but they have some problems. Here is what I have learned after a few months of wearing them: They are not especially warm. You need thick socks or insole to keep your feet warm in very cold weather. They are not 100 percent waterproof. The seam that connects the rubber bottom to the leather upper will soak through in very heavy rain. They are tight in the shaft and instep, so take some time to get on and off. The soles are very slippery on wet linoleum (e.g. when walking into a store on a wet or rainy day). If these issues do not matter to you, they are great boots.

I love the style of these boots. My only problem with these boots is that the rubber portion of the foot was completely cracked & leaky within 6 months of normal wear. Sorel does have a warranty and I sent the boots in but the warranty center couldn't make an exact replacement (for whatever reason the warranty center doesn't have access to all the styles). I'm curious if other people have had quality issues with these boots. The gray leather does "fade" to a darker gray pretty quickly but I still think they are very attractive boots. But based on the quality, the price point is too high.

've been happy with my purchase so far. However, I have not worn these guys out in a rain storm yet. Even though my foot is a size 8, I ended up purchasing a size 8 1/2 (in nutmeg) in order to ensure I could wear a thick sock comfortably and because I have a fairly wide foot and high arch. I almost always go with an 8 1/2 in a boot for these reasons. With a thick sock on, I still have a half of a thumb width (at least) in the toe bed area. Many of the others reviewers indicated that the boot runs small. I am wondering if some of them were referring to the calf area and not the foot bed? I have small calves and the boot shaft fits fairly snug. I like them to be fitted and tighten the buckle all the way when I wear them. I gave the boot four stars because of the quality control issues I encountered. There was quite a bit of variation among the three pairs of boots (all sized 8 1/2) which I ordered. On one, the outer leather appeared to be stretched out and, on another, the boot fit like I imagine a 9 would. Initially, I purchased an 8 so that is how I determined that the 8 1/2 would work better for me. My advice is, if you are happy with the style, do not give up on the boot if the first pair you buy doesn't work. You may have to purchase a few pairs to get the best fit.

Not good for snow. They are not waterproof. My feet ended up very wet from water somehow coming in at the toes. Very disappointed for the price. But look cute.

These run very small. I'm normally a size 6.5, and I'm waiting for a size 8 to arrive. They are super-cute, warm, and the leather is very thick. They are also comfortable. I'm a bit concerned about fitting my work pants inside of them when it snows.

I love the look of these and get compliments every time I wear them, but they are very difficult to get on and off, which is annoying when you are running in and out of the house chasing kids, as I do. Also, they were initially very uncomfortable, but as I've broken them in have gotten more comfortable. I sized up a half a size based on previous reviews.

I ordered these early in the season after reading the reviews. Yes the boot is initially a little tight in the foot to pull on, but now that I have worn them a couple of times out in the rain walking the dog they are much easier to pull on. I did order a 9, I wear an 8.5 to 9 regularly and the 9 is perfect. but I do have a very narrow foot. Love these boots! Had compliments on them already!

I upgraded to these boots after my rubber rain boots fell apart. "Waterproof" is my number one priority for winter footwear in Chicago, but ideally I'd like to be dry, warm, comfortable, and stylish all at the same time. These boots help me achieve all those things! DRY: I've been walking through snow drifts and puddles with these boots every day for a month on my commute to and from work (sometimes going out of my way to test them), and they're holding up so far! WARM: Warm enough for winter, but not so warm that I won't be able to wear them this spring. Waaaay better than my old rubber boots. COMFORTABLE: I wear between a 9 and a 10 (9.5 when available is usually the best fit). I ordered these boots in a 10. The fit is good, and gets better when I'm wearing a winter sock. I walk everywhere, and though I think the footbed could offer a little more support, they're still pretty comfortable. Again, a huge improvement over my rubber boots. STYLISH: I just received a compliment on them yesterday from a fellow commuter on the train! These boots have got something different going on, and personally I find them more interesting that the ordinary leather knee high. I got them in Cinnamon, so I've got a red-brown and black to work with, which makes it easier to pair them with whatever outfit I'm wearing and still look good. I agree with another reviewer who said these boots were tight at first, for me not only around the ankles but all over. The first few days, they rubbed a bit at the backs of my ankles, but the leather loosened up after a few wears, enough so I can now wear these boots with skinny jeans tucked in if I want. In the past, I've shied away from knee-high boots since I have wide calves (~17" at the widest part), but the built in gusset on the back of the boot adjusted just enough to the width of my leg for a glove-like fit. Because my calves are on the wider side, the boots developed some folding around the ankle and shin, but I think it makes them look even cooler. Bottom line: They're worth the investment. Highly recommended.

I live in Minnesota and these boots are really not adequate for the bone chilling winter that we have had this year. They do not keep your feet warm even with two pairs of heavy socks. That being said, they are really cute and waterproof, I think I will be able to get more use out of them in the spring as the snow starts to melt. Usually I wear an 8½ but I went with a 9 which worked out great.

Like other reviewers, I ordered a half size up to the 8.5. Probably could've gotten away with the 8, but this way I can double up on the socks. They aren't insulated, but my feet stay warm and relatively dry. I did notice some dampness after a morning of shoveling and might take that up with Sorel. Boots are totally cute and you can leave them on once you get to work and not look like you are wearing ugly snow boots. Looks adorable with cute dresses and skirts. Who knew Philadelphia Would get so much snow this year! Will be sorry once winter is over. And as always, Zappos shipping rocks! Ordered on a Monday morning once weather report said snow was on the way. They were delivered by 2 pm the next day in the middle of the snowstorm! Best customer service ever!

I love these boots and people have commented positively, loving them, too. They are great in the Chicago polar vortex. Double up on socks, though, because they aren't snow trekkers. But can fend in winter and rain! Very stylish for boots. Very 'rich'!

Cute boots, but they do not keep my feet warm at all! Definitely not made for being out in the snow/cold for long periods of time. Even with thick socks, my toes were absolutely freezing! I had much higher expectations for Sorels.

These boots fit true to size. They are fantastic looking and very comfortable. The only very minor issue is they can be difficult to get off sometimes.

I really like the style of this boot. I did have to go up 1/2 size for a comfy fit with socks. The only downside is that it takes some effort to get them off! The only reason I am giving them a 4 star rating is the effort removing them.

Quality boot, great style. I ordered this boot in both 7.5 and 8 because reviews commented on ankle tightness. The 7.5 fit my foot and calf perfectly but was an effort to get on due to narrow ankle space. this is not a problem once you get your foot into the boot. The size 8 slipped on more easily but my foot was swimming. I kept the 7.5 because the boot is so stylish, functional and comfy.

So I finally ordered these boots after waiting a year and was so excited! I absolutely love the look of these boots, very stylish. But unfortunately the fit is horrible, I cannot believe that no one else has this problem. My feet feel fine in the boots it is the leather part around the ankle and shin. Because it has no stretch it bends weirdly. I thought I would wear them around the house for a couple hours to see if they would loosen (soften) up a bit. I took them off after about an hour or so and I actually had marks and bruises starting to form from the boots. I am so disappointed because I do love them so much.

These fit true to size for me. I'm a size 8 and they fit great. I like the black color - very stylish and warm! Will look great with skinny jeans when it snows.

I really wanted to keep these boots. They fit over my somewhat large calves (15½"), but they never would have fit over leggings let alone jeans. There is room to make the upper part of the boot larger, but unfortunately it does not extend low enough for it to really matter. These boots are going back.

Cute but uncomfortable around the ankle. The ankle is where the two pieces of the boot come together and it rubs right at that spot. Also maybe the description said this and I just assumed but the foot of the boot seemed leather not rubber to me (with this style I just assumed it was a rubber when I saw it in the photo) and the leather on the calf shows every scratch and bump. Very cute style and comfortable around the calf but for the price just not for me.

They look good. However the foot in this pair runs small - it might be a defective pair. I have tried on a 9 in Nordstrom and they fit well. My friends 9 fits me well. This particular pair I cannot get my foot into and neither can she... Just a heads up to check this pair out.
