Wow, this shoes are awesome, comfortable and supportive right out of the box. You may want to order 1/2 size larger and if you wear custom made orthotics you may want to go out on width as well, the boot is short. Plenty of toe box room.
I'd also recommend:

I am returning this shoe because as other reviews stated it's short. I wear a 9.5 narrow and it was too small in the toe. Other than that it was comfortable, narrow was great, flexible!

I bought these to hike in Scotland and have not worn them yet except around the house. I could not really tell much difference between the 9 and 9.5, so I kept the 9.5. I am adding an arch support insole and will wear with thicker socks. I will be able to evaluate better after I actually hike in them!

I wear a 6 1/2, EE, which is a difficult size to find in any shoe! I'm an avid hiker and backpacker, and desperately needed new hiking boots. Zappos' one day shipping saved the day, and I just returned home from a 5 day backpacking trip, covering some arduous mountain terrain. I have given the shoes a #4 because the insole was a wimpy flat piece of blue foam, and I had to spend an additional money for a proper, supportive insole. The shoes are not stylish at all, but I didn't care because they fit!

Unfortunately these hiking shoes are not wide enough. I ordered EE, extra wide, but after a half hour walk in the mall (to keep them clean) my foot hurt. EE wide in the New Balance walking shoes work out fine. The leather doesn't give. Had to return.

I like the style of these shoes, but sadly not the fit. The top of the back of the shoe curves in and hits the back of my leg in a weird place that is not at all comfortable. The extra wide was awesome though, the widest shoe I think I've ever tried on.

I am really surprised that there are not more people mentioning the length of this boot. I have just gotten the 11W and while the width is great, my big toe is right up against the end of the shoe. That is a first for me. I have been struggling to find a shoe that is wide enough - but I have never had an issue with length before. That said, they are pretty cute (and that is saying something for a size 11), they do not look gigantic by any means - and I am willing to try a size up to see if they will fit. I might even try an EW to see how that feels. Ugh, a 12? Really?

I bought these boots because I'm required to have water-proof hiking boots for a guided hike. As usual, New Balance shoes run small. I knew this advance and bought a size larger. They are narrow, which is hard to find in longer lengths. My biggest disappointment is that there seems to be very little cushioning in the inside sole. I have thus bought inserts to put into the shoes so they'll be more comfortable.

This is my first pair of hiking boots. They are great for keeping my feet warm and dry. The ankle tends to rub a bit when I wear thicker socks, but I'm warm enough so far with thin socks. I'm not sure I like how they grip my ankle, but that may be the intended purpose. They offer good support. I ordered the wide, but could have used a little more room.

The sizing on these hiking boots mirrors the fit of New Balance running shoes - running about a half size smaller than non athletic shoes. (I usually wear a 5 1/2 but wear a 6 in New Balance.) I wore these shoes hiking on a snowy mountain and they kept my feet dry and warm. They are quite stiff but give good protection when hiking on treacherous terrain. Two days of hiking in them left a rubbed sore spot on my ankle, but that may have been a function of the wool socks I was wearing. Next time out I think I will try not lacing them up all the way.

Generally NB 10 1/2 B fits me if it runs to the narrow side. I thought I'd try this shoe because my big toe has been hitting the tip of the shoe lately and get's uncomfortable after a few hours. Besides I need a replacement for my NB WW605 10 1/2 B when it wears out. I was totally surprised and disappointed the NB WW1569 11 AA is NOT long enough for me! I double-checked the size on the shoe label. Fits fine in width and is a beautiful looking shoe. Looks very well crafted. Any suggestions? Would love something similar that fits, guess I'll check out next size up if narrow.
I can't really give an accurate review re "How did you feel about..?" because the shoe is beautiful but doesn't fit me.
Also there is something wrong with the rating selection, once you put the cursor over a star it is activated and you can't then set the rating lower only higher, so overall I meant to give 3 Stars

I loved the style, weight and overall comfort of this boot. It is a true narrow, even with the size up I require for NB athletic shoes. Unfortunately, the toe box is too short--an essential for comfort while hiking. I tried going up a size but the boot got too wide. I've returned.

The other reviewers were right, the boots run small. My foot is an 8.5 but I wear a size 9 in the court shoe and the "sneaker"; but I couldn't wear the 9 in this boot since it was too short. I can wear a size 9.5 and with my orthotic and heavy socks it's just fine. Haven't hiked in them yet.

I'd suggest ordering up a size. I ordered a 9EE and couldn't get my foot into this boot. It was at least one size too small. There wasn't a lot of give in the boot - great for support but not so good when trying to put it on! I think I'd need at least a 9 1/2, but more likely a 10 if I wanted to wear thick socks.

Nice shoe. Good length. BUT for an EE it ran a little more narrow than I expected.

Really like them, they almost fit my skinny feet. Plan to tour, hike when I travel. Sturdy and cute! Thank you!

I love this shoe overall but I have problems with the heel section cutting in to the back of my heel. The arch support is great which is an issue for me, but the back of the shoes curves in just a tiny bit and it rubs. I'm thinking (hoping) this works itself out with a little breaking in. I bought these for some light hiking so really hoping they break in well.

These easily run a half size short. Cute but not worth the extra money compared to a Merrell. I used to love NB running shoes and cross trainers because they were among the handful that come in AA for my pitifully narrow heels! But a few years ago, something changed. The fit is different. I thought I'd give these a shot, but having tried 8.5 (I normally wear a 9 in a sneaker or boot) and a 9 and found both too short. I'll stick with the Merrells I also ordered in this shipment.
I'd also recommend:

Order 1/2 size larger, as with most shoes these days! Toe box of Extra Wide is great. Wear with thick socks. I hope I don't get blisters on ankle area, though...stiff. I agree they are cumbersome to lace at the ankle area. Perhaps it will soften up with wear. Recommended as winter boot.

Order a 1/2 size up. I wear an 11N, so ordered and 11N & 12N because of the reviews that I read. No 11 1/2 N therefore I kept the 12N. The shoes run short. They seem very comfortable, but I have only worn them around the house at this point.

The most comfortable shoe/boot I have ever put on my foot. Wore them during the recent snowstorm and was dry all the way!

These boots are very comfortable! They fit and wear just like my New Balance Sneakers. They easily accommodate my orthotics. I love that they come in a wide enough width so I can wear heavy socks and still wiggle my toes. The Gore-Tex keeps your feet warm and dry too! Only downside, the tread is closer to a sneaker than a snow boot.

I loved this shoe and wanted it to fit, but unfortunately it was not to be. I own a pair of NB hiking boots, so I purchased the same size/width. The shoes were too small, so I returned them for a half size larger, but my heel keeps slipping and it feels as though my ankles would end up with blisters. I'm very bummed by this!

Unfortunately the shoe did not work for me although I have worn other NB's for years. The mid height ankle hit at an annoying area and the toebox sloped at the big toe area making their otherwise generous toebox too tight with my big toes in contact with the top of the shoe. Too bad, I wanted it to work but back they go.

Purchased for work and not for hiking. Liked the look and that they seem tough enough to withstand the riggers of my workplace. However, wish more 'workboot' styles were available for those of us with extra-wide 'duck' feet who need foot protection from boxes and pallets. Normally wear a size 8 EE, but took heed of the warnings and went with 9 4E. I was going to exchange it for a 8.5 4E before checking out the size difference between an 8-9. Looked like there was more of a size gap between an 8.5 and a 9 than an 8 and an 8.5, so stuck with what I have although they feel just a tiny bit too long. (Am sure the 8.5 would have been more than a tiny bit too short.) Surprise...the 4E felt only barely wider than my Brook's 2E. Wish there was a measurement chart for width like there is for length! What everyone is saying about the back of the shoe being painful on the Achille's tendon is sadly true--after the end of the first day of work that area was very, very tender. Overall, hoping it is as rugged as it seems, hate the upper back, like the look and color (Grey). The biggest thing that will determine my getting another pair next year is the price (never paid nearly so much for a pair of shoes!) and whether the pain in the tendon is worth the chance of possible crushed toes by going back with regular walking shoes.
