Love these boots. I have a small frame and am only 5' 2" with athletic (large calves) and have had an impossible time finding boots that would work for me. These boots hit almost 4" below my knee so I don't feel like it chops my height in half. The quality and color are excellent. I most appreciate that the boot has a slim line look and not the typical wide calf look. I also have thicker ankles and these boots camouflage any hint of them. If you have super thin legs they may not work for you. I've had them on for the last few hours and they are totally broken in and comfortable. Great tread on the bottom and a nice hidden fold at the top for comfort. Simply awesome boots!

These are great boots! So comfortable & stylish. They are a snug fit but leather stretches with wear and even brand new they are comfortable. The leather is soft, not stiff, and scratches easily but it adds character to the leather. After all, these boots were made for walking!

These boots are the most comfortable pair I own. No break in period. I got a size 7 and they fit perfect. I do have muscular calves and they still fit great. Great for a casual day or you can dress them up.

These boots are beautiful and really well made. I'm about 5'1", so the shaft height was perfect, hitting below the knee. I bought these because of the wide calf. I run 5-6 times a week and my calf measures 16 inches exactly. I think these boots would have zipped around my calf, but I couldn't zip them past my shin to find out. They are really narrow just above the ankle. I usually wear a 6.5, but I ordered a 7. They fit my foot fine, but I was inches away from being able to zip past my shin. I'm sending these back today and trying the Naturalizer Tanita Wide Calf.

I bought these for a two week vacation in Italy because I only wanted to bring one pair of shoes and I wanted them stylish but, more importantly, comfortable. These fit the bill! I walked an average of five miles per day in them and neither my legs nor my back hurt at all! We had one days of rain and these shoes were perfect. I had so many compliments throughout the trip. I am very picky with shoes and these did not disappoint. They have great tread, did not require time to break in and were perfect size wise. I wear a 6 but got the 6½ so I could wear thick socks. I also, apparently, have husky calves and have a hard time finding boots to fit. I wore these around the house and they are now a little loose which is perfect for me. I highly recommend them - so much so that a bought a second pair in another color!

I have extra-wide feet, but for whatever reason, some Tevas fit me pretty well even though they only come in medium widths. I think it has to do with how the footbeds are a little straighter than most brands, which fits the shape of my feet better than supposedly anatomically correct brands like Keen and Birkenstock. What I am trying to say is that the widest part of the shoe lines up more directly in front of the heel instead of being set off to one side. Since I like to wear socks with my boots, I ordered these one size larger than my normal size, and they fit amazingly well! I have a high instep that makes it impossible for me to get my feet into many boots that I have tried on in the past. Because of that, it is a bit of a struggle to get these on, but it is doable, and once they are on, they feel marvelous! I am sure they will be even more comfortable once the leather has had time to stretch a bit here and there, but honestly, they felt pretty good right out of the box. I am 5'1" with short legs, so this height of upper works really well for me. The circumference felt just right, as well. I work as a substitute teacher and always wear skirts. These boots look fine for that purpose, and although so far I have only worn them to work for one day, I am pleased to report that my somewhat problematic feet with bunions still felt good after standing/ walking in these for the whole day. Definitely a winner for me!

I love my Tevas! I am buying a second pair this year because I find them so comfortable.

I bought the brighter brown pair of boots at REI on sale over year ago when they were just out of season and these are amazing. I save my nice shiny leather brown boots for special occasions and wear these everywhere - out in the country, on the farm, shopping and around town. They are very comfortable and flattering. I love these boots. I highly recommend them!

Attractive bot - very sleek and flattering. Unfortunately it felt sleek too, a bit snug. Still I would have kept it since the leather would soften and loosen over time BUT the fit didn't work. This boot has pretty pronounced arch support which could be a good thing if it lined up with my arch. It didn't. The arch of the shoe lined up to far towards my toes and not enough towards the middle of my foot. Very odd problem that I don't recall every having before.

I love these boots so much that I bought this second pair in black (I got them in brown last year). I am only 5'2" with muscular calves and very sensitive feet so it is really hard for me to find boots. These work with both skinny jeans and dresses. As for sizing, I always find I need to go up a half size for boots/athletic shoes so 8½ is my standard boot size. I put orthotics into my boots because I have got collapsing arch issues, but these boots are very comfortable as is (without orthotics) as well.

So far so good. I am pretty short and have always had issues with the calf fitting and these give me plenty of space even with skinny jeans.

These are definitely casual. Some reviewers write about being able to dress up or dress down with the boots but I think that depends on your style. In my opinion they d be more accommodating to someone who dresses up in a Boho Chic style. And the zippers are oddly placed toward the front of the boot but the pulls are small enough to be tucked inside the extra leather meant to camouflage the zipper. However, I plan on replacing them with something smaller and less obvious. I don t really like the look of the leather right now but I can tell that it will take on a nice patina once the boots have been worn in. It is nice, thick, soft leather. I also agree with other reviewers that say the boots run small. I am normally an 8 but ended up with an 8.5 instead. And the comfort level is out of this world. I wore them for about 4 hours right out of the box and they were very comfy. And yes, they did smell a little funny but they had probably been closed up in the box in a warehouse for quite some time. I ve had the boots sitting in a corner of my bedroom for a couple of weeks now and don t smell at all. Lastly there is the calf circumference Get out a piece of paper and draw the letter Z. Now draw it again but only this time compress it and make the letter short and squatty like an accordion. There is an accordion-like flap of leather behind the zipper that will accommodate those with larger calves by expanding. You can t see it on the Zappos pictures or the video but if you go Teva.com and look at an ENLARGED view of the Bison colored boot, you can tell there is a small gap behind the zipper because of the shadowing; that is where the extra piece of expanding leather is hidden. My calves are slender-ish at 12 inches so the boots are a little gappy on me but not so much that I d send them back.

I live in the mountains, & I needed a warm, dry, low heel, attractive boot for casual wear, and to dress up for my job at a local hospital. This boot fit the bill. I tried Merrell (best arch support, but too high shaft), and North Face (not attractive), without success. On the Teva De La Vina, the shaft hits about 3/4 of my leg (I'm 5'3", 130 lbs.), which reveals the attractive curve of the calf, and leaves room to show off cute knee sock tops, if I want. The circumference of the shaft is a little wider than most, and I read people's reviews that make it sound off-the-charts wide. No so for me; I find them attractive around my average-size calves, and allows me to comfortably tuck in jeans. The only set back about this boot is the traction; I've slipped more than once when I've walked on wet metal (the border around drain grates, the border around man hole covers, grates around the base of trees, etc). Be careful if you have balance problems or are unsteady on your feet.

Update: I wrote a review already. It was positive. I wanted to come back and add a more realistic review. I ordered these on an educated whim before an extended trip to Stockholm Sweden. At first glance I gave them high reviews but they held up amazingly. I walked a minimum of 20 thousand steps a day while there. These boots were warm, lined, comfy, and never hurt. I did trade out the insole for a thicker insole from another pair of shoes I have. BUT I recommend these boots hands down over any other pair of shoes I own. They are stylish; dress up as well as down. They can walk, hike, stand, and dance and required zero break in time.

I bought these boots a couple years ago and I don't know if I ever reviewed them. Ordered the brown. I think they are really cute. They are very comfortable, not too hot and do keep your feet dry without feeling heavy and awkward. They are a wider calf, for me it was perfect, I am able to tuck in jeans and leggings. Highly recommend.

Love these boots! Comfortable right out of the box! Leather has a slightly odd odor, but not a big deal. It was raining and my feet stayed dry. They look cute and I can put over jeans or leggings and they are comfortable. Great for walks nag the dog!

By far the most comfortable boot I've tried on in the shoe part. I just wish they were slightly wider; if they came in a 17" circumference they would be perfect.

Very comfortable shoes! I have yet to test the waterproof-ness of them. They are a casual looking boot, not a very pretty pair, but I feel like I could walk around all day in them. They also have good space around the calves with a pant inside of them. I ordered these in the short style as well!

Great boots, extra stretch in the calf if you need it, if not, it doesn't show or seem sloppy. I ordered an extra half size up as recommended and they fit great. I often need that extra half size anyway though-depends on the brand. These are very comfortable and good for foul weather.

After spending hours browsing through Zappos to find the perfect winter boots I finally found these. I'm 5 feet tall and these measure 14" high, so they are a couple inches below my knee. The perfect height! Most boots go right over my knee. They fit snug around my foot and ankle (which is flattering) but leave some room at the top, enough for comfortable movement yet still "skinny" fitting to wear with leggings or skinny jeans. They look great with them actually. I receive compliments on these boots all the time. Worth every penny.

These are my new go-to boots. They are super comfortable and I love that they are waterproof! They do rub my socks a little at the heel, but if I wear thin socks they don't get ruined and I've never had issues with them hurting my heel. I wear them all day and they stay comfy - and I walk around a lot. They are pretty casual, but could be dressed up a little. I wear a half size and ordered up - and they fit well.

I wear a size 8.5 M in most shoes but found the 8.5 M with this boot was a little too tight on my foot. Exchanged for a 9 and it's perfectly comfy. Accommodates my wider than average calves well over jeans.

Awesome boot for snow and ice conditions. Not the most stylish boot in my closet but I don't worry about wet or cold feet anymore and traction in snow is superb.

Love these boots! Needed something to get me through another New York City winter and still look fashionable and these are perfect. Water resistant and comfy, though I definitely suggest sizing a size up. Normally a 6.5 but the 7.5 worked best for me.

Super comfortable boot that is the perfect height for a petite person (I'm 4' 11" for reference). I loved this one so much that I bought the brown as well, even though I don't really need it. I don't think I'll be wearing my crazy expensive (but uncomfortable) Frye boots anymore!
