brooks must be making everything in China.. the quality is lower than 15 years ago. The materials don't last as long and the arch support is not very good

Just tried them on and sent them back. There is a little arch support. Not terribly shock absorbing. A bit of lumpiness under the medial side of the balls of my feet. I tried a 4E and found the shoe to be a bit snug around the toes.

I have had these for walking for several months, but haven't put many miles on them over the winter. I began running 2-3 miles recently, and these are awful for me. My feet, especially my right one, slides off the footbed with each landing, making it awful to run.
These are fine for waking and daily wear, but they aren't good running shoes for me. I emailed Brooks recently for feedback, and never got a response.
I'm done with them.

When I first tried on the show, the fit was great and very comfortable. The style of the shoe isn't the flashiest, but serviceable. The shoe feels heavier than most. The top part of the tongue itself is about one inch in width. I just completed a half marathon and I don't believe the shoe provides the best ventilation. Around mile 10 I could feel that my feet & sock were swimming in my sweat, and that tongue was just soaking up my sweat. The shoe itself is fairly heavy as is, adding in all the sweat does not help. If you were looking for a comfortable shoe to begin running in, I'd advise this as a safe choice. But if you're a more experienced runner looking for an edge in performance, I'd look elsewhere.

Having walked in them a couple of times for approx. 2 miles. I have this heel pain on the inside of my right feet and about less on the left foot heel...not sure why...maybe this particular design is not my kind... but overall I LOVE the hoe style and design... just great.

I loved the Addiction 10. I do not like the 11. It feels softer, squishier. I may try the Addiction Walker.

I don't know why shoe manufacturers call the front end of a shoe a "toe box" when most of them end in a shape that resembles a point rather than a box. These fit that category. I have a true 4E and a squarish toe box and theses shoes are too narrow. They are okay for a run, but for casual wear, my toes feel totally cramped and the sides dig in. I have, however, found a shoe that is truly roomy in the toe area, the Asics Cumulus 3. When these wear out, I'm getting a pair, from Zappos of course, who always gets 5 stars.

These are great shoes for narrow feet, but they are way too small for the listed size. I am usually either 10 or 10.5 depending on the shoe/maker. These are 10.5s and my toes rub against the front of the shoe. Order at least 1/2 size larger than normal (or a full size if you like a lot of room) and you'll have a great pair of shoes. I do not know if this advice is applicable to D width feet (or wider), but if you are looking at this shoe because you have narrow feet like me, order larger than usual.

The "top line" or collar of the shoe started to fray after two weeks. Zappos sent me a replacement with no hassle. Waiting to see how the second pair hold up.

I work part time for FedEx Express, and have had these shoes for three and a half months, and the sole is coming off already.

I dislike the new Addiction 11 design. I have been buying the Addiction models for several years but I feel the engineers missed something in going from the Addiction 10 to the Addiction 11. Previous models had excellent inside and outside support. However, with the Addiction 11 model (and I take a 4E width) I find myself rolling outwards consistently. It is so pronounced I have sprained an my ankle once or twice.

Shoe seems to run about a half size smaller than most and the 2E width was much narrower than the older New Balance made in China versions (not the new Viet Nam made which have sizing issues with width as well) that fit so well. Returned these for a 4E which was the widest available, but only 1/4" wider than the 2E. Not sure I understand the sizing, nor have I ever worn a 4E in any shoe before.

I purchased these for my husband. I ordered him the Brooks Addiction, a pair of Nike and a pair of New Balance. He said these felt wonderful - lots of support and cushion. We sent the other 2 back and he kept the Brooks. Just after a few weeks the ankle seams just started completely unraveling and splitting. Zappos great customer support arranged for us to send back the unraveling pair and sent us a new pair. Again, the same thing started happening. He was only wearing these to the gym, so it wasn't like he was putting a ton of wear and tear on these shoes. I just contacted customer service again thinking maybe this is just a flaw with the size 13's?? I'm hoping they can find us a comparable Brooks that doesn't have the same defect. Like I said, my husband loved the fit and feel, just poor workmanship.

I always buy Brooks Ghost shoes and decided to give the Addiction a try, just to change things up. Worst shoe I've ever used for running. No cushion at all and the heel portion of the shoe is wide enough for a foot and a half. Will definitely go back to the Ghost asap. Just a little disappointed in the product coming from Brooks.

Purchased and immediately returned the shoes after standing in them only a few hours. Heel Pain in both feet. Underneath the 2 mm padding was hard cardboard stitched into the base of the shoe! Unbelievable and unacceptable for a running shoe of this price!
