Pardon the length, but Zappos was nice enough to ship me a bunch of shoes so I'm posting the review of all 6 of them here for you. I'm returning most of them, which I hate to do, but hopefully this bulk review will be of help to you. By the way, I'm a middle-aged male, size 14 5E feet with collapsing arches so I need real arch support. Zappos you need to post a real shoe buying guide to save you and your customers unnecessary shipping costs! General shoe buying pointers: 1. Pay attention to shoes. The wrong shoes can cause all sorts of joint pain. My knee inners were hurting like crazy got the correct shoes, knee pain went away. 2. Know whether or not you have high arches or, like me, flat feet, collapsing arches, overpronation, etc before you buy. It has been my and my podiatrist's experience that there are no shoes out there with sufficient arch support as-is. I have lately been using Montrail inserts with great success. 3. Each size of a particular shoe model will have only one sole for all widths in that size due to cost reasons. Wider sizes will have more leather/cloth upper material, thus it's normal to bulge on the sides. That said, some soles are narrower than others. 4. Some shoes will have more curve than others. If your feet don't curve much, don't buy shoes that do. You can tell by looking at the bottom in the pictures. 5. There is no standardization in lasts (the shoe molds they use when designing/making shoes). Certain brands tend to run a certain way and will always be that way. Disclosure: Brooks Addiction Walkers in 14-4E are my go-to shoe. I love them. Been buying them now for almost 5 years. Roomy, great for wide flat feet, plenty of cushioning, and they don t look awful. From the factory their arch support is as good as I have found, though I have to replace the original insoles with Montrails as they wear. As with any shoe, throw them away when they get old and get new ones. Your joints will thank you. Here goes: Saucony Guide 6, size 14-6E. Slightly tight on 14, barely a 4E, no way it's a 6E. Minimal arch support; Montrails helped out quite a bit. I would have kept these shoes had they actually fit like a 6E should fit. They were as wide as a Brooks Addiction 11 Walker 14-4E, so they lose in favor of the Addiction Walkers. The shoes with the yellow are highlighter yellow - just be aware of that. Hush Puppies Mall Walker 14-5E. Zero arch support, narrow in the toe box, and still a bit narrow even at 5E. Felt more like a 4E. I really tried to like these shoes - they looked nice. But they clogged as I walked, and don't expect any lateral grip from the tread that looks like it got cut by the guy who does all the Japanese gravel gardens (no disrespect, Mr. gravel garden man!). New Balance MW847 14-6E: Nice length, Nice width, but not as much of a roll bar as the NB 840v2, so even with Montrail inserts I tended to roll inward. Overall a nice shoe but I needed more rollbar. New Balance MW840v2 14-4E: Nice length, nice width. Lots of roll bar, and as much overall sole cushion as a Brooks Addiction Walker so that was nice. Definitely need inserts on these as they're board flat inside. Adding Montrail inserts made these a keeper. Brooks Addiction 11 14-4E. Length good. Width typical of Brooks 4E (which is probably correct). Very minimal arch support. I put some Montrails in and they were fine. Unlike the Addiction Walker, these grip your feet quite snugly but were not constrictive (this is probably pretty subjective). The blue-tinged shoes have some bright blue in them which is a little more boy racer than I need but it's not a killer. Propet Stability Walker 14-5E. Length was good, but the whole shoe is ramped forward so it feels like you're stepping into a pothole every step you take. Toe box is tight. No way this is a 5E. Tighter than a Brooks 4E. Ironically these shoes look like they should have a lot of arch support, but the sole gets very short up front. If you're coming from high heels, these will feel great, but for a flat-footed man like myself, no way Josie.

I bought these shoes for work. I used to always buy New Balance, but their fit and quality has changed, and I was very disappointed with my last New Balance purchase. I took a leap of faith that the reviewers of the Brooks Addiction 11 were right, and they were! These shoes felt very comfortable from the moment I put them on. After wearing them for 9 hours, I didn't care if I took them off or not! I bought another pair right away in blue to wear with jeans.

I waited for a few weeks before I wrote this review. I just received the Blue/Gray version of the Addiction shoe after having the all Black ones for several weeks. What I read for reviews on this site is mostly accurate. I am a slight slight to moderate over pronator and these shoes hold my feet at such an angle that there is no pain and these shoes do that. I was "in search of" the best shoes for pronation and that would assist in Plantar Fasciitis that I am currently struggling with. I bought a pair of the Brooks Adrenaline which I like immensely, but was still on the hunt. I noticed a neighbor wearing Brooks and said "how do you like those?" She said, "they are great for me because I overpronate and suffered from Plantar Fasciitis; within a few months it was gone!" My eyes lit up and I bought a pair. I will have to say that they definitely provide a comfortable ride and I highly recommend them for anyone on their feet all day, that may overpronate, or that is suffering from PF. I have really high arches and replaced my first pair with Ironman inserts. I took them out after a week because the ones provided in the shoe are fine.

These are the best running shoes I've had. I don't even feel they're on. Especially they allow breathing helpful in warm weather. Plus, the color selection is better than any store I've visited.

This is a great shoe. However, as most shoes I would recommend getting it wider in the toe box. Most shoes, including this one, squish the toes which is why we have misshapen feet in our culture and other orthopedic problems. Other than that I would definitely recommend these shoes to anyone.

This shoe is great. I have a wide foot and the shoe fits perfect and has great support. I would tell any of my friends to buy this shoe if they like a comfortable shoe.

THESE SHOES ARE AWESOME! I got these for my father who has a lot of problems finding comfortable shoes. He has post-polio syndrome in his right foot and leg & he has a lot of discomfort. He says these feel so good and that his leg doesn't seem to tire out as quickly. Great support and not too heavy like some other shoes. I'm so glad we spent the extra money. Well worth it! Two thumbs Up!

I use these shoes for 'running'. I am 70, and actually just fast walk. These shoes are comfortable, light and supportive.

I am now ordering my second pair of "Brooks Addiction 11" tennis shoes. As a size 11, 4E width need I was pleased to find that both the length and width are very TRUE to size. I have difficulty finding tennis shoes that are a good fit and also look great. These I would highly recommend to any male with extra wide width needs.

I wanted this shoe to work so bad. The cushioning was unbelievable. Unfortunately, I could not open it up enough to fit my leg brace.

Shoes are comfortable and appear well made. Based on other reviewer's suggestion, I ordered a half size larger and I'm glad I did. Usually I take a 10-4E, but the 10.5-4E is a perfect fit for me with this shoe style.

I have problems with my feet: pronation, fallen arches, corns and a bunion. These Brooks shoes , together with orthotics, enable me to walk without pain. They have good support, and buying a smaller men's size than I wear in woman's shoes ( I am a woman) helps because the footbed is wider than the women's shoes.

My feet use to hurt after working out so I decided to change my workout shoes to Brooks. My feet have not hurt since!!

I had used Brooks Addiction running shoes for many years and have purchased at least 5 pair, about 1 per year. Overall great shoe to run in. I use primary on the treadmill 4-5 days a week. Great support for arch and ankle. Only compliant is cosmetic. The last 2 pair I bought fray very quickly around ankle. This pair is 4 weeks old and is already fraying.

Every step to order is perfect. But sorry to say the shoes quality is lacking. The first time I bought a pair of shoes from Zappos the shoe was great. Then the shoe changed to a new style. The quality wasn't the same from then on. I called and complained on the new style the Addiction 11. This shoe always breaks down on the outside edge of my right foot in the heel area...but I have to keep buying your shoes as they are still better than a local store shoe. The arch support is too low for my feet. I put in after market arch supports.

Disappointed - 1st off why do shoemakers feel they have to make sneakers with pointed toes? Who has pointed feet? I purchased these because of all the rave reviews & I gave these things couple weeks to break in & I'm not happy. I ordered the Wide but still found them too tight, that's without socks in which case the labels inside stick to my feet, quite annoying. These things are most likely going to wind up at Goodwill.

I've owned these sneakers for over two years now and they are still in excellent condition and just as comfortable as when I first bought them! I have flat feet so the wide option was excellent! Highly recommended for a durable sneaker. The sneaker isn't very light but very durable.

This shoe is exactly like the one I have from 2 years ago. I have a very wide foot, so, a woman's wide is not wide enough. I ordered a men's 10.5 EE - perfect!

Zappos provides the fastest shipping I have dealt with on line. No kidding. The shoes are first rate not seconds. Customer service is great as well.

I have narrow feet and usually have trouble finding running/athletic shoes that fit and are sized properly. Brooks Addiction fill that bill. Very comfortable right out of the box. As usual, Zappos got them right out to me. Service is always on point with them.

This is my second order here. First was for New Balance 1540's after everyone else was sold out. My doctor recommended this shoe when 1540's were no longer available..Zappos has great stock, great service, good prices and quick shipping. I've placed another order 2 more pair of these since this one and can honestly recommend them as long as you know what size you need.

Been wearing these for a couple of weeks now and I'm delighted with the fit and feel. High end shoe store sold me a pair of the Brooks Beast 14 and they were okay; however, my feet are on the narrow side and the Brooks Addiction 11 comes in a narrow size, which makes them fit better. They are my new favorite shoe.

Best shoe I've ever owned. Arch support is incredible. Bought another pair right away and will buy another soon to keep a stock in the closet. Glad I found them!

I was looking for a stable run/walk shoe. I read some reviews of others and the star rating. I looked at the idea of free returns both ways and ordered the shoes. Great Service on delivery, great fit and feel. Zappos to me is the only way to go!
