Love the color and the style but this fabric is super sensitive. I got something on the jacket one day into wearing it and have tried numberous ways to get it out but nothing works. Now I'm stuck with it

Coat is soft with a beautiful, covering hood. I am usually between a medium and large size, so I went ahead and got the large. It's tighter around my legs and would not have room for a sweater underneath.

This coat is warm but feathers come out of it daily!

I loved this coat so much that I bought it again 7 years later but wasn't as impressed with my new one. It is visibly smaller/has less feathers and the feathers are already coming out often.

It's a really nice jacket. I spent a few weeks researching between Patagonia, North Face, and Marmot. I finally decided on the Montreal, and was super excited to give it to my wife for Christmas. Unfortunately, it was too long in the arms, and she said she felt like she looked fat in it. So, I was pretty bummed, because now I have to return it and just give her the money so she can find what she wants. It really is a beautiful jacket though. One thing I noticed when I took it out of the box, was that it smelled musty, which could have been from shopping, but either way, that was a turn off when you spend the money, it should smell brand new.

I've had this coat for 3 years. I love how soft and warm it is and overall it has been a great coat. But I always felt like the double zipper was somewhat flimsy and sometimes difficult to get latched, and this year, it has gotten so flimsy that the zipper often busts open at the bottom while I'm wearing it, often enough to the point that I no longer wear it. This was a great coat, but I wish it had lasted more than 3 years.

I've had this coat for 5 years now (in medium) and for the first few years it fit me very well. I'm 5'4 with short arms and when I got this was an A/B cup; pretty flat, very surfboard. Well, thanks to Covid times I've got a few more pounds and am now B/C cup and that's where the problems come in. I never noticed how much smaller the chest and upper arms are in this coat in relation to the hips/lower body! It's like the Marmot designers hadn't seen a woman before! I am on the fence about buying a larger size knowing that the bottom half of the coat is going to billow, but I can't find another coat I love as much as this one - it holds up to cold (I live in the Northeast US) and looks great while doing it. It just, you know, can't zip up over anything over a B cup.

I desperately hoped the coat wouldn’t run small because it’s gorgeous & well made. But i could not zip it up to save my life, bummer! Why all stores don’t carry XXL & XXXL in this country I’ll never understand! Don’t manufacturers realise bigger people want to dress stylish too........

I ordered both the L and XL based on other reviews. I loved everything about this coat, the color, the style, the hood, the warmth. But the bust size of the Large was so tight while the rest of the coat was perfect. Unfortunately the XL was enormous so I am returning both sizes.

SUPER warm. But the most "marshmallowy" sleeves of any puffer coat I have ever tried (and I have tried a lot). Incredibly unflattering. The hood is also very shallow, so it looks quite dumb when you have it up. Sent back immediately. If you're just after warmth, though--this may be a good option!

I like the fit and style of this coat. The reason I have to return it is because of the hood, believe it or not. I've read other reviews that say the hood fits nice and snug - I don't understand these comments, unless my hood is defective. It is supposed to be adjustable, but dit was impossible to figure out how to adjust it. I called Zappos and the very nice (of course, it's Zappos) representative couldn't figure it out either. She tried calling the Marmot customer support, but they didn't answer. She gave me the Marmot customer support number to try later myself, and they kept me on hold forever, it seemed, so I gave up. Such a ridiculous reason to have to return this, but I really use a hood, as I have a large head and hats are generally uncomfortable on me.

I really loved this coat EXCEPT it is way toonarrow in the chest. I’m 5’ and 130 lbs, and pretty small in the chest area. I normally wear S or XS and after reading all the reviews ordered a medium. It fit fine everywhere except it was so tight in the chest wearing just a T-shirt that sadly I have to return it. The large was way too big and sleeves too long (the M was ok on length). I liked everything else but the proportions were very strange.

If you have a chest, this coat will more than likely not work for you. It is tight in the chest area & almost flattens you out for an awkward looking fit. I liked everything else about this jacket though, but sadly, had to return.

This is a great jacket for warmth and has numerous pockets that zip which is a plus. The Steel Onyx color is more of a blue than pictured here and the hood, while giving wind protection, is tiny in size. It looks like a child's hood on a women's coat. Might have kept if the color was more of a gray than blue gray.

I loved this parka in the picture and could hardly wait its arrival. Once it came, I was VERY disappointed to find out that the color was very dark and dull vs. how it is shown in the picture. Unfortunate I'm sending it back. Really wanted to love this piece. Thanks to Zappos for the pain free exchange and return process.

I loved everything about this coat: the fit, the style, the warmth. It seemed perfect... until I wore it for a few weeks and was covered in tiny down feathers every single time I put it on. I returned it thinking (and hoping) it was just a defective coat but again after a few weeks of wear, the coat started bleeding down. To the point where I had to always wear something over my clothes so I didn't go around covered in white down. A real pity because it would be the perfect coat otherwise.

I bought mine a few winters ago thinking it would last. Unfortunately it tears very easily. I'm not even sure how I did it as I don't really go anywhere in the winter but I have a rip in the bottom of it that seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

The coat is super warm, but it has a strange flaw where it is concave in the front, probably a mistake from the factory. I really needed it when it finally arrived so couldn't return it unused.

Couldnt find a size that fit. Normally wear a medium buu it was tight across front of shoulders/ chest. not usially an area of concern. Large size was not any better fit across front, but then was huge around the bottom. Just a very odd fit. I cannot recommend this coat

Too small poor quality

This coat is way too small. I read your sizing chart and ordered appropriately yet. I will be returning this item. I ordered it in time for a vacation and was left with no coat, because I didn't have time to get a new one. Thanks for that.

We bought this and within 3 weeks it started popping feathers. So disappointed. Thought Marmot would have higher quality.
