Tight around the hip. I wear a size 12/14 and the XL was too tight. Also cant wear a sweater with this coat.

This is the best coat Ive ever worn. I live north Alaska and this coat is must have. So warm and incredibly light . Its true to size, fits great on fleece but if you want extra layer get size up and definitely wont get cold ;)

Purchased as a gift for my daughter. Appears very well made and warm without being bulky. Ive purchased Marmot for all my daughters and they always love the quality and fit and warmth.

According to other reviews I bought it a size up and a bit worry because I got it as a final sale. So glad that size up was just perfect. The filling inside started coming off on the first day I was wearing it. Not sure if thats normal or it will stop. Anyway I like the coat. It is so soft, light, and keeps me warm on a cold day.

The coat looks bigger from picture, but runs smaller in the chest and shoulder. I ordered one size up for layer inside. So it helps. It is very warm, soft, fleece liner inside on the top half. I like the two pockets inside, one zipped and one open. Fabric is not the thick type but ok with normal daily wear. Overall, if can fit, it is a good coat with 700-fill power down insulation.

I bought mine a few winters ago thinking it would last. Unfortunately it tears very easily. Im not even sure how I did it as I dont really go anywhere in the winter but I have a rip in the bottom of it that seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

Beautiful coat, and warm too. I took it to Sweden in the Autumn and it was perfect, stylish and very comfortable. I love the inside pockets and the outside zipped pockets. Love the color! Good purchase! It does run a bit small but thats okay, good motivation for me to loose some pounds.

Bought for my fiance...the jacket is a full size too small. Keep in mind.

I got this coat for everyday use and so far love it! The coat materials are very nice! Its feels pretty light weight. The zipper is good quality.

My wife loves it. Its not too heavy, its very warm everything she ever wanted in a coat.

This coat is way too small. I read your sizing chart and ordered appropriately yet. I will be returning this item. I ordered it in time for a vacation and was left with no coat, because I didnt have time to get a new one. Thanks for that.

Sheds snow and water and keeps me toasty warm. I also love the fit. Im curvy so sometimes its hard to find long coats that fit right. I get tons of compliments in this.

Ordered this to replace my older coat that got snagged and ripped the day before Thanksgiving, and sizing must have changed because the same size I purchased 4 years ago that fit perfectly was now much too tight. Couldnt decide which length I wanted and saw the No exchange policy, so I ordered both with the intent to return one. Ordered Black Friday, received after item went back to full price and per company policy, wasnt eligible for exchange to a different size, so I purchased from a different company and sent them both back. Returned a month ago and still havent received my refund yet. Customer service says maybe next week. Pretty disappointing overall.

This coat has kept me warm on brisk days in the 20s. I love the color and cut of the coat. Im broad around the shoulders and ribcage and it is snug even though I sized up.

Fit and size was great. It was nice and lightweight and I didn't look like a big marshmallow on me. However, I am really sensitive to chemical smells and the hood smelled kind of strong. The coat didn't smell as strong, but it was causing a skin reaction so I had to return it.

This coat runs VERY small. Frustrating they will not do an exchange. They will only do a return and you have to BUY the coat again. I bought it for $180, and when I went to reorder in the new size they wanted $320! I'm going elsewhere for sure.

Very nice coat. Very Weather resistant just as it says.. I believe some may confuse that.. it is not meant to be a rain coat. My wife is typically always cold and says this coat is very warm for her. After reading reviews I went with a Small for her, where she normally is an XS. She is 52 & 110lbs. and the Small fits perfectly. Very pleased with this purchase from Marmot.

Comfortable, but runs small. Have worn Marmot coats for years and ordered the same size as Ive worn. This coat was too small, had to return unfortunately.

Overall, I think this is a great coat. It's warm and appears well made. I think it's a bit snug for a medium and you do need to engage the double zipper to sit, but it's worth it

This coat runs on the small side. Im 55, approximately 142#s and have normally worn medium. My REI down jacket is medium and I can wear vests, sweaters without feeling tight. The Marmot, medium, fits fine with a light shirt, but quite snug with a sweater or sweatshirt. The zipper is too small in relation to the cut of the jacket. The warmth is great, love the hood, but think the faux fur is unnecessary.

I bought this coat two years ago for myself. It is my favorite ever - hits at perfect place mid-thigh (Im 52), keeps me warm while others freeze and looks super cute. The hood is removable which is how I wear it most days in the foothills of South Carolina. I dont get to wear it much here, but when temps drop below freezing or even low 40s, this is my best friend. My college age daughter has begged for a while to have one too wrapped and under the tree this year.

The XS in this jacket is huge so I had to return. The shipping cost via FedEx is free but the packaging isnt and its expensive. I cant get an update on my return because Marmot doesnt answer their phones. Maybe they should deal with their sizing issues so that this doesnt happen. I dont expect an XS to be a jumbo size.

Purchased for my wife for Christmas on sale for Black Friday. She wears a medium in all her other jackets (Barbour, Nike, Columbia, etc) so I ordered a medium Marmot Montreal. She tried it on once it came in, and it was almost impossible to zip up because of the tight shoulders/chest of this jacket. Marmot offers returns but not exchanges, so I had to return the jacket and missed out on any Black Friday savings. I will purchase another jacket from a different brand that has better quality control when it comes to sizing.

Nice coat. Runs snugly. Also had to exchange for black. Off white isnt. Its beige. No good for me. It took a while to do that but its all good now!
