The coat is just about perfect. As other reviewers mentioned, it is tighter across the shoulders and chest than other Marmot coats of the same size. That's why the 4 stars instead of 5. If I had gotten a M, it would have been too big everywhere else.

It's very warm and comfy, but I wish the outside material could be a little studier. just two wear (a few hours) i saw some pilling around the wrist area. sorry, have to returned it better size up. i'm 5'3 and 113b. usually xs size. i read the review and order size S. it fits well (can wear sweater under)

Other reviews were helpful warning that the size ran small so I got the large rather than medium--warm and lightweight/cozy/poofy coat, great green color, however the quality of the "faux fur" hood trim is a bit disappointing --good thing it's removable ;)

Seems warm and comfortable. I haven't tested it out in freezing temps yet. Zipper does seem more difficult to pull, but hopefully will get easier with use.

I love this coat but it was to tight in the chest but fit great everywhere else. Suggest buying one size bigger. I returned this coat and bought two other styles.

Feels like a sleeping bag. Warm and soft inside. Material on outer part of jacket feels delicate and could possibly rip easily. Runs very small. I ordered XL, Im 59 and 195. Zips snug.

This might be my favorite coat of all time! Its so warm and soft. There are abundant pockets. The zipper works so well without ever getting stuck! And inside the neck area where your chin sets is soft. The length is perfect for knee coverage. If I had one bad thing to say its that the hood is really big or maybe my head is small. Highly recommend!

I love my marmot coat. This is my second coat from Marmot which I wore for 10 years. Its just right for winter in Taos, New Mexico. Very warm but not heavy. The hood keeps the snow out! And my husband loves the color.

I purchased this to wear to work on the coldest winter days because I have a long walk from my parking spot into my building. I like the option to unzip the coat from the bottom while driving (maybe people who are having trouble with the zipper dont understand the 2-way feature?). I am 54 and always debate between XS and S in most clothing. I got the S and I can comfortably wear a layer underneath (such as a sweater, blazer or jean jacket). It comes to the top of my knee caps, which might be a little long, but the Montreal was too short for what I was looking for. I love the green color. Of note, the interior of the hood is black, not green, but that doesnt really show while wearing. I like the faux fur on the hood (which is removable) and I like the shape of the hood itself (also removable). It is rather puffy and almost feels like Im cozied up in a sleeping bag, but thats what I wanted. At the same time has a nice little bit of shape to it.

This is the second one in this style that I have purchased. The original one is still going strong but I have had it for over 7 years and it is starting to show how much its been loved. It is my favorite coat ever, I got one for my mother as well.

Love this jacket as I also own an older one in a large, black. I decided to size down to a medium since the large was so roomy. Unfortunately, the medium is too snug and i have taken the tags off so I can't exchange it. The color is beautiful and it's super warm. I am wondering if they changed the fit from a few years back as the black one I own is not form fitting at all.

I love this coat! It is like wearing a snuggly sleeping bag. My only dislike is I sized up since its a slim fit - good call to give extra room when layering. However, the shoulders and hood fit a tad too big. Its not enough to make me not want to wear it. But, ideally, this would not be cut narrow in the hips. It is super warm too!

SUPER cozy & comfy jacket. zipper a little wonky & fabric feels more delicate than i expected (translation: feels like it could tear easily/more like a mid-layer (not outer wear) fabric)

After owning the coat for a month and a half the zipper is broken. The zipper is weak for a winter coat; it needs a more heavy duty zipper that isnt flimsy and separates when it shouldnt. It started off being difficult to get the two zipper pulls and gliders to go up together at the bottom of the coat. Now the zipper pulls have separated rendering it non functional. Frequently the bottom glider gets stuck at the bottom and the top glider does move up and down so I have to step out of the coat after unzipping the top pull/glider in order to get it unstuck. Waiting for it to split and break for good.

I love this coat, very form fitting & trendy. Unfortunately the medium, my usual size, was so tight that it was pulling at the seams. I then ordered the large & I looked like a blimp. I had to send them back but the quality & style was excellent.

My Montreaux coat is cozy and comfortable; quality down provides the perfect loft and softness. The shape and length are great; Im very happy with it. The only changes Id like are to have the hood extend closer to the front and more color choices.

This is the best winter coat I have ever purchased. Feels like Im walking around in a sleeping bag, but looks great! Perfect!

Couldnt zip it up! Otherwise the coat seemed great, but zipper was poor quality. Should have believed the other reviews. I returned it.

I've had my eye on this coat for years and finally couldn't resist this deal. The coat feels very warm, though I haven't worn it outside yet. I usually wear an xs but got the small after reading the reviews. Sleeves are slightly long and length overall slightly long, but the chest is snug so smaller wouldn't work. The color, rose gold, is ok, but it's like a dull salmon, I wish it was a touch pinker. Not perfect but good so I'll probably keep it for walks in those single digit days.
