The buckle is velcro which i didn't know. cute shoe but rather it be a real buckle as I think the velcro will wear off

he shoes were great for school, my daughter could put them on herself no problem (just turned 5). The leather is holding up well (no scratches or pealing), and the soles don't leave marks on the floor. However, after 3 months of moderate wear (1-2/wk, indoors), the buckle will no longer stay closed on one of the shoes. This has never been an issue with any of her previous velcro-closure shoes. Am exchanging for similar shoe with a 'real' buckle - despite added on/off time this will entail. Zappos customer service was great when I explained by phone. No hassle whatsoever to take care of this.

Super cute style and made well however gave my 2 year old blisters on the back of her feet! So we had to return!

I feel that we ordered the correct size for my daughter who wears a 13/13.5 but she said that the fit was too tight. This shoes seems to run narrow and is really stiff. Cute, but the fit did not work for us.

Shoe is adorable. However my granddaughter could not even get her foot in the toe box. Says M-W. Definitely nothing wider about it! Sadly they went back. She was so bummed!

Really adorable, but my daughter said they were uncomfortable. Ended up with the more simplistic (and slightly less expensive) hush puppies that she said were SUPER comfortable.

Very narrow for my 1yr old. I thought they would be a bit wider.

Wish I would have went with my 1st instinct and got my daughter's actual size. She is a size 8 and after reading the reviews a lot of customers stated to get a half size down because they ran big. Well that is totally wrong. The shoe actually runs true to size or may be even runs small. I got a 7.5 and the shoe was absolutely too small. I even took out the sole and the shoe was still too small. If I would have gotten an 8 it would have been perfect but an 8.5 would have given her room to grow. The overall shoe was nicely made except for the Velcro. Wish it was an actual buckle shoe. We did not even wear the shoe except to try on although soon as I pulled the shoe out of the box I could tell it was too small. Some reviews stated the received 2 soles for wide & narrow fitting but I only received the sole that comes in the shoe no others. Overall the shoe itself is a good idea but there are a lot of things that could be fixed. Really wish I did not have to return them but I am printing out my return label as I type this review. It is nothing against footmates or zappos because I am going to continue to buy from the 2 but now I know how the product actually fits.

These shoes are extremely tight on the top of the foot. My daughter normally wears a 13. We tried a 13 and a 1. She could not even get her foot in the shoe.

Already falling apart after several months.

These were a favorite of my daughter, but the velcro became unusable within months. Such a shame to have to throw out shoes before they are even out-grown.

Should’ve read more reviews. These run about 1.5-2 sizes too small. My 3 year old typically wears a 9. Ordered a 9, but they were way too small and narrow. Couldn’t even get half of her foot in. I ordered the same shoe in an 11 for my 5 year old and those fit my 3 year old.

Our little girl wears a wide size shoe. We ordered the M/W Medium Wide selection. What we received was a medium size shoe with a wide insert. Neither the insert or the shoe itself has any arch support that children need

Totally wrong item was sent. Didn't have shoes for our event because Zappos is incapable of placing the correct shipping label on the correct box.

They are cut so small

I ordered these shoes for my granddaughter thinking they had a functional buckle...unfortunately they do not so I will be returning them

I bought these shoes for my granddaughter and we both loved them. Unfortunately, the velcro closing has now failed and she has not yet outgrown the shoes. Disappointed, to say the least, particularly since they are expensive shoes.

Ordered half size larger and it was too small... Have to exchange

Bought size 6 for my two year old toddler and it was too big. These are very stiff shoes which she refused to wear or would take off as soon as she could. We usually buy soft flexible shoes so these were a huge miss. Sent them quickly off to the consignment store! I would not recommend these

Very nice shoe but the Velcro did not last a month. Now my daughter hates it because her shoe comes off when she runs or walks fast. Not safe to wear. Accident waiting to happen.

These shoes are adorable. The problem is that the velcro closure does not work after approximately two weeks of wear. The softer side of the velcro becomes so fuzzy that the harder adhesive side no longer sticks and, therefore, the shoe does not stay on. This is the replacement pair that I am returning.
