Customer Reviews New Balance 806 Tennis Shoes

The extra wide in these tennis shoes was too wide for me -- they kept slipping off! In New Balance Running shoes I take extra wide but apparently not in the tennis shoes!

It is unfortunate that shoe manufactures couldn't also produce shoes for those of us with bunions. I have tried many shoes, these were almost wide enough in the ball of the foot and toe area. These had to be stretched, but allowed less pain and redness on my bunions. Now I have to deal with the fact that the heel is Way TOO Wide.

I normally wear 9.5N but sized up to a 10N per other comments. The length was fine. However, the mid-foot and heel areas were too wide, and the toe box had a weird shape that did not work with my feet. I like a rounded toe box. This shoe had a pointer shape that would have worked great if I did not have a big toe or pinky toe. The pinky side was angled too much from the widest part to the toe box. The big toe side angled too much, so my big toe got pushed over. I tried various ways of lacing hoping to hold my heel in, but to no avail. It also felt like the soles were too big for the upper. Felt like clown shoes. Returned. Sad that there are so few options for narrow feet and that this shoe didn't seem to be a true narrow width shoe.

Awful! I have always used NB and found them to be true to size. Nope. I use medium width and it felt like I put my foot in a vice. I ended up trying another brand. So disappointing! Returning.

The shoe felt like it was extra wide. The leather was stiff.

I really liked the shoe and it was very comfortable, but unfortunately I had to return b/c the toe box runs smaller than the average New Balance.

I have purchased these in the past and liked them so much I bought a 2nd pair!

This shoe was of inferior quality than it used to be since I have used this shoe for years.

I have wide feet so that is why I like New Balance. After reading the reviews, saying it was narrow for those with wide feet, I got a 1/2 size larger, as well as ordering a D width. The cut of the shoe, drastically narrows at the toe, which is odd compared to every New Balance shoe I ever had. So I sent it back, and got the extra wide. It still was too narrow, because of how the style is. I could not even get my orthotics in them. So If you have a wide toe base, do not bother with these shoes.

Very well-built shoe, but I need a narrow width, so I will need to go up 1/2 size. It looks so nicely detailed and the court stability looks superb. I have yet to wear it on the court as I am waiting on an exchange to go up a 1/2 size, but I will definately test it out if I get the right size sorted out.

I have foot issues and these shoes are the only tennis sneakers I can play with! Love them.

I should have followed the reviews. These shoes run narrow in the toe box. Yet the heal slipped. I do wear orthotics but this doesn't happen with all shoes. Back to looking for another shoe.
