I have a size 12 A shoe size. New Balance is the only company that cares enough about fit to make a narrow tennis shoe. Thank you NEW BALANCE! I have been buying the 806 narrow width for many years. Please never ever stop making this great shoe.

First pair of tennis shoes I owned, and so far so good. The shoes are great on the court as play sessions are getting intense. Great friction, and feels secure during sharp stops and turns. It's a bit unfortunate I didn't get a chance to try it before making the purchase because I bought a 2E and it feels like it's a bit wider than my other NB shoes. Seeing it's a tennis shoe, would have preferred a snugger fit. But in gets the job done and overall great quality! NB never seem to disappoint.

After trying many supposedly wide toe boxes, I read some reviews and ordered the 806's. I no longer need gel spacers and other means of keeping my toes from jamming together during play, while the structure and support are rock-solid which is important at my age. The only thing I could say in the negative column would be that they get hot after 90 minutes of outdoor summer play, so bring something to change into if you're going to get lunch after the game.

I've used these tennis shoes for a decade since local stores are not bringing in wide width shoes and they must be mail ordered. I see other players with nifty shoes but I can't order them because I don't know if they'll fit. Even the same shoe style changes and the new pair I received this month feels a little tighter than my old pair, or it could be that its not stretched out like my old pair

I have had several pairs of this shoe, the wide model is appreciated. Generally the shoe wears very well, but the tread wears much earlier than the shoe upper. Good value shoe with stability.

I use these tennis shoes for pickleball. This is my third pair and I am very happy with the fit, the stability, and the support they provide.

I've been wearing New Balance for running, casual for over 30 years. But I had to return the 806's because they were too narrow/tight in the tow box. I'm currently in 621's that I love but they're almost shot. I retuned the 806s and am waiting for a refund on my charge card.

Sad to say that NB 4E Wide (806 shoe 8 1/2 size) is not true wide width as before. Had to move up a half size. Shoe seems to wear out faster than before also. Oh well, not much we can do. Other than stretch the shoe or move up in size. Come on NB!

I have purchasing the Men's 806 for years. Nothing other shoe is built specifically for tennis like this one is. It is overbuilt on the outside edges to support when you cut hardest on the court.

Have bought two other pairs of NB size 4E and they fit perfect. This pair was much too tight. No way they a extra wide 4E. You can see large discrepancy when you put against prior purchases. Had to send back. New Balance needs to get its act togethrr

On my 3rd pair of 806. Best boating/ fishing shoe I have owned. The "tennis treads" are almost equivalent to my ANSI no-slip work shoes. One complaint is the inner sole is a wee bit thin. I replace the inner sole with 10 Seconds Insoles for comfort when on the water .

I really wanted women's 806 shoes for tennisbut I wear an 8 1/2 2E and New Balance is not making them at this time! So I went to men's 74E and they fit fine, but I'd really, really like them to restart the 2E's in the 806. New Balance is one of the very few companies that make the wider widths. This is a terrific shoe for those using lateral movement, since it has a stabilizer in it.

I've worn NB tennis shoes for many years. I have a wide foot and I love their wide options. I was playing in my latest pair of 806's and noticed my feet were getting tired and my arches were hurting. I went home and compared these to my last pair (1006's) and the insoles in these are nowhere near the support of the old ones. These have less than 1/8" of material and almost no support. When I called the customer service I was told I could go online and order a new pair of insoles, but they wouldn't send me any. Very disappointed that this will be my last pair of NB shoes.

I've played in these shoes for a number of years. What has become clear is the continued decline in quality. The material is cheaper, the parts don't fit as well, and the edges are rougher. In this recent pair the edge of the tongue is so rough it hurts the bridge of my foot!

I'm a clay court tennis player and once I discovered this shoe I have not deviated. Comfortable, great fit and support. I love the fact that New Balance has a choice of widths. Due to the shortages during the pandemic I was unable to purchase this shoe at Sports Experts or the New Balance store so I was glad to learn that my size was available online at New Balance.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)

Poor SupportGreat Support
There are serious quality issues with this shoe. I have been wearing the MC80x shoes since 2010 (started with 803) and they have been great until this iteration. The sole separated from one of my 806 shoes shortly after purchase and Zappos replaced the pair. A month later the replacement shoes had the same issue and Zappos replaced that pair. The third pair has done OK with the soles, but after about a year, with plenty of wear still left, they have been killing my feet (I play tennis 2/week). First a bruise on my right heel then pain across the left arch. I never had foot issues with the 803-805 versions, so I suspect that New Balance has found a different manufacturer that is not providing the necessary quality. With my new Dunlop shoes the foot issues have gone away. I liked my previous New Balance shoes and most of my friends still wear them, but I will be advising them to be cautious and I will not be going back.

I use these shoes for outdoor pickleball and they work very well. I give them 5 stars for a few reasons. First they came in my size 15 which is so difficult to find. Second, they have great support on the court and good non-marking soles. Lastly, they were easy to order online and were delivered early. The only problem I have is with my feet. These shoes are not a wide width and there is a little discomfort but is getting better as I break them in. I did not reduce my stars because of this as it was my decision to purchase these medium width shoes. So I do recommend these for pickleball or any court activity.

I've been wearing this model, and its close predecessors, for 25 years or more. These shoes are HEAVY, but are comforatble and a great fit for my wide feet, with excellent beginning support. However, I have noticed that the build quality of these shoes has declined over the past several years. Sometimes the shoe fit is just a bit odd, though wearable, and the support structure starts to wear down in a month. More importantly, the bottom rubberized layer consistently peels off at the heel after perhaps six weeks of pickleball games, something that NEVER used to happen. I have inquired with customer service but have never received more than an anodyne response. These shoes have served me well, but I'd try another brand if I could find one with a wide fit (the K Swiss wides are not really satisfactory substitutes).
