I have used the reliable NB 806 for tennis over many years. I need the 4E width so was unable to purchase this particular shoe in-store. The 9 1/2 4E was a tad too big so I ordered the 9 4E on-line right from the store. I use an gel-insole I buy separately for tennis because of sore feet. I was informed about the delivery process on-line and the shoes arrived on time at my front door. Somehow the 9 4E was about half a size too large. I inserted the insoles and tried out the shoe anyway. It was a stable shoe with good support and a solid feel on the indoor surface. I used the shoes a couple times to see if I could wear them for tennis but unfortunately they just didn't feel right. I now have an excellent pair of just slightly too big every day runners and emergency tennis shoes in a pinch. My bad. Always try 'em on first. I went back to my old shoes.

Been using this sneaker for many years for tennis. Nice to have it available without change for such a long time.

I have purchased these shoes in the past and for some reason the current pair is much narrower than previous pairs. I have a wide foot due to severe bunions and these are quite narrower even in the 4E size

Like many of my court friends, we all wear the 806. Most recent purchase must be my 6th or 7th pair. I have a wide foot and have tried all of the NB court shoes. This is the only one with a consistently comfortable toe box. Only complaint is it is only available in white.

Although I don't play tennis, these would be perfect I think if I did. Very stable feeling. Was looking for a stylish shoe that didn't really look like an older person's walking shoe as my wife calls them. I like how the front looks with the tread and color coming up higher... just like a tennis shoe. Will always look for made in the USA products like this.

Well the left shoe is too short by about 1/2 inch. The right one is fine. Going to take it to a shoe store and see if they can stretch the left one.
I'd also recommend:

Only bought these cause it has the rollbar in them. Since the styles changed. It's hard to find them now. They keep the sneaker's steadier. Hopefully, they put them back into more sneakers. Like they used to have

I walk 5 or 6 miles a day, usually in the 928 v.3 (wide), but when these were out of stock I tried the 806 and found them just as good. I think it's the "roll bar" technology.

The new balance 806 makes a fabulous court shoe for pickleball. I wear one pair playing inside in our local YMCA and another when I play outside on our dedicated pickleball courts at our City parks. I love the shoe as I play pickleball nearly everyday and they provide great support both moving forward and back as well as side to side. These are tough shoes and do not break down during the various foot movements required in an exciting pickleball game. Once I discovered this shoe four years ago I have been sold on them and return to the 806 every time I replace my pickleball shoes.

Thank you New Balance for making wide tennis shoes. I have bunions and need an extra wide shoe which are sooooo hard to find. I have many people at the tennis club where I play wear New Balance for the reasons: bunions or wide feet. Also my foot specialist highly recommends New Balance for correct foot wear. The shoe is a win win product.

I wear these to work in and play in. I have bought several pairs over the last few years. Love the shoes but the soles on the shoes come unglued or come loose in less than 6 months and the rest of the shoe still looks good. I tried sending pictures and complain to customer service but I was not getting any where with them. I will be looking for some other brand to try in the near future, hoping to get a better quality shoe.

Have been buying the tennis shoe for years. It is a rare shoe that comes in size 13 narrow. Wears well and offers good support.

while the back of the shoe is super wide, the toe box is a standard width -- not a 4E, not a 2E not even a W.

I use these for playing Pickleball. They took a few weeks to break in but when they did they were very comfortable. I bought the 2E width did seen to be the proper size. However, after about 7 months, the shoe tore open around the toe box area. I decided to get another pair since they did fit well and it is is difficult to find shoes in this size. I am hoping the new ones will last a bit longer.

I tried my size and one size up in wide (4E), but I usually get X-wide (6E). Unfortunately, the 4E is too narrow and no 6E is available.
