I love these shoes for my active 3.5 year old. Originally I was given a hand me down pair that were pretty beat up but my son loved them, so I decided to splurge and buy him a pair (added bonus is little brother could wear them too in a year or so). Well, for almost $60 and having had them for about a month the tops of the shoe are scraped off. Again, I love these shoes and they seem so ergonomic and comfortable for my son. But it’s disappointing that the toe isn’t more reinforced to handle tough toddler play. Not gonna be a great hand me down if they get visibly destroyed so easily. The original pair I was given were pretty beat up, but I assumed they had been well loved before we got them. After just one month and already looking worn, kinda frustrating given the cost of the shoes.

These sneakers run really (wonderfully) wide - nearly the same as New Balance extra wide (XW) I would say. And certainly more stylish. If your kid has narrow feet, these wouldn't work, but for normal and wide feet these are going to be a mighty comfy option. Because of the wideness I recommend ordering a half size up and a half size down as well as what size you think your kid is, to hit the magic fit point. Kids with truly wide feet would be the size up, and average size feet would be the size down. At a guess.

Great, but can't get them as tight as I'd like on my 3 year olds skinny feet

These shoes seem a little big, but I think that is because they only have the one velcro closure and can't secure tightly across the arch of the shoe. They are a little flashy for my taste, but my son loves them, so we are keeping them. I just need to secure the strap for him since I can get it a little tighter. If he does it himself, they fall off his feet.

Love this brand, have for quite some time. My kids are VERY hard on their shoes and these hold up incredibly well. As a matter of fact, the uppers are still usually in great shape but my kids have worn down the treat completely. I love that they can be washed to help with "little boy foot stink"! Highly recommend!

I love the look of this shoe and have ordered at least 6-7 shoes from this company. I will say my son wears braces and these shoes don't last and they wear out quickly. I buy them over and over because they are stylish and easy to get on... and are cheap enough to order as needed... lots of color choices as well.

I’m not sure how, but their sizing is off. My son breast grew out of the size 12’s I bought the same order, but these are still large on him.

The shoes are light weight, stylish, bright and nice. My only problem is the toe lining material is poorly made and hence the blue area by the toes (dark grey in the orange and grey shoes) scuffed up on the first use, making the shoe look tattered after just one use!

These shoes are very cute, but I feel they run extremely wide. My son, who normally has wide feet was slipping out of these shoes.

We used to really love Tsukihoshi. Before they changed the coloring, these shoes used to last my toddler 10-12 months. We got the new color in August, and my son wore it just 1 week before the seams started unravelling. Zappos sent us a replacement and it has been worn sparingly due to lots of rain October-March. These shoes have their soles completely worn down. We're so sad. Tsukihoshi's were all our son wore for the 1st 3yrs of his life.

These are adorable shoes and like many others have noted, they run large by a size, 1/2 size. Thanks to awesome Zappos, we experimented to find the right size. My son is pretty average when it comes to wearing shoes out. These shoes failed the test and for the price, they should have lasted a lot longer than they did. It's been only two months of wearing them daily and they have developed holes in the sides. Now that it's rainy season, these will no longer do. I'm bummed because they have low heels and great colors but those things don't count if they don't last. Especially at prices more than some other kids shoes, I'll be off to try some different brands.

This is the main style my son has been wearing since he first started walking. They a great for wide feet. That said, they seem to be getting beat up faster and faster. Maybe they aren't great as kids get older/heavier and put more pressure on them? These have absolutely fallen apart and I only bought them 1.5 months ago. He doesn't even wear them every day. Holes in both shoes. So, maybe these are good for smaller/younger kids but not older ones.

The whole point of a running/sport shoes is that they protect your feet from the impact with the ground. They supposed to absorb the shock away from your feet. In children, the arch support is especially important as their little feet develop. This shoe's sole is as flat as a pancake. It's as if the designers took TOMS shoe and built an "athletic" looking shell around. It's useless for running, jumping, hopping, skipping, climbing, etc. For $63 it's outrages that they offer those to kids as running shoes. You can probably use them for walking but even then, there is no arch support which may result in Flat Feet.

Great looking shoe- easy for our toddler to get in and off himself. Disappointed in the quality- only lasted 4 months of indoor wear.

These shoes hide enormous quantities of sand and started falling apart within a week. I’m going back to stride rites!!!
