I bought coral reef and the color was nothing like the photo. It is more of a hot pink with a dark gray belt, that I thought was olive green

I did not like these shorts because the material was too thin and short for my taste, so I returned them.

Disappointed that the shorts seem shorter than in the picture and the fabric, while of decent quality, rolls up and exposes ones thighs way too much, so that the shorts are not becoming on me. The material is just too thin and could use a bit of shine. There is only one zippered pocket. The belt is unattractive and I won't wear it. I ordered an XXL and I thought they would be a little too large for me. Nope, just barely fit. They should be longer!!!

These fit great and were so perfect, but then the button snap broke one day. Not sure how they were designed, but really disappointed that happened.

The rise in these shorts were too low.
Would have preferred mid rise for this style.
Will be returning.

A basic short that if they had fit would be fine for casual hikes or weekend errands. I'm usually a medium (5'10 ~ 135#) and the medium size is so large it could slip over my hips without the belt on.

The colors are great, both the dark blue and the tusk.
I found them so loose in the back of the thigh that I took in a seam.
There are no back pockets, the side pockets on the thighs are very small, as in credit card size, but the two hip pockets do hold a smartphone

I'm 5'6", 125 lbs and long waisted. Small is the size I needed, but it was too short in the rise. I had a wedgie from the start. If I ordered a medium, the shorts would have been too large everywhere else.

I had hoped that these shorts would be the like the ones I purchased several years ago. These are quite short and the fabric is very thin. I am sending them back in the hopes that Columbia will someday make the same type I have worn for years.

Eh-The shorts are high waisted and scratchy in the waist against the skin. I couldn't stand to have them on for more than a minute. Wasn't worth the money to send back so off to the good will. I usually wear a size 8 to 10 in pants and had purchased the medium.

I love Columbia cargo shorts....at least I used to. Unfortunately, my very well loved cargo shorts found some sap recently and have been ruined. I ordered what I had believed to be a simple replacement online. When they arrived today, I was quite disappointed. The pockets serve no function, the material is much thinner than it used to be. The color options are not the same. My previous shorts were a green / khaki, these new are more fleshy / khaki. I wish Columbia would bring their old cargo shorts back. In the meantime, I guess I will search for a new, more functional brand.

These shorts used to have functional pockets, but they no longer have back pockets or side pockets large enough to hold a cell phone for the women that wear them. And the inseam is so short that they are not practical for an older person. Please make them more functional!

I loved these shorts as soon as I put them on! Very comfortable hiking and very breathable. The issue is two hours into wearing them I un snapped the button to change and the whole button broke into 3 pieces. I was very disappointed, especially when I mailed them back and went to reorder another pair and they are sold out

Short has an excellent design and fabric, but I returned them because they did not conform to size consistent with other Columbia clothes I own. I have reordered.

The quality of the product is very good but the pockets in these shorts are so short, everything falls out of them. The cargo pockets with the zipper are so small, I cannot even fit a credit card in them. Please go back to the old style with the deeper pockets!

Need MORE pockets that are larger to hold phones, keys, wallets etc. Zippers or velcro cover so stuff doesn't fall out. Option for a longer length just above the knee. We don't want a tight crotch, but a comfortable fit for ALL outdoor activities. I love Columbia, but tired of looking in the men's department for a pair of shorts that have the design options women want too.

I felt that the quality of the material and belt was low. It seemed flimsey, not a quality piece of apparel. They are going back.

This was once a product with handy, reliable features. The present version possesses impressive color tones and look. However there is less in features, which means it is a less functional product. For example, the pockets are too narrow, there is no longer the nifty velcro pocket either, which offered more security of belongings inside the pocket. Also, it's noticeable that less fabric has been used to make the shorts. I look forward to a return to what wasn't broken and didn't need fixing.

This pair that I ordered on line is not up to par to the pair that I purchased in store. I love the shorts, but the waist band is stretched out, doesn't have any "play" to it. The other doesnt have alot, but some, enough to keep them around your waist.
The color is beautiful, delivery was prompt, just noticed the waist was drooping so held them up to the store purchased pair and it isnt my imagination. I needed them so have worn them for kayaking and vaca, but just not the same.

These were supposed to have a 6" inseam. They are way too short, unlike the other pair I purchased from you folds.

I had a pair of these from about 8 yrs ago that I loved but my cat ate a hole in them. I reordered the same size. Now they are tight around the butt, much shorter from waist to crotch and much lower cut. The top barely covered my bikini line and still gave me a camel toe. I paid to return them.
