I ordered these shorts last year, in a size medium, and they fit well. I love them so much, I ordered 2 more pairs this summer, also in a medium, and they were much too large! A full size difference. I am reordering in size small, but hate that I have to pay extra shipping when they were not consistent with their sizing.

These shorts are comfortable and functional. They dry fairly quick, but they are also pretty thin; even a little sheer. For the price I got them at, they are perfect for every day wear and I ended up ordering 3 more pairs!

I love these shorts and may order another pair. I wish there were also pockets in the back.

This is my second pair, different color. Lightweight, fast-drying, easy to move in, washes beautifully. I wear them gardening, traveling, hiking, hanging around. The only change I'd like, as on most women's clothes, is for the leg pocket to be large enough to accommodate my iPhone 6.

I originally ordered two pairs of these shorts to try them out, especially the fit given the reviews. I run between a size 8 and 10, and ordered them in medium. They fit me pretty well, but the elastic waist is slightly tighter than normal, but still comfortable. They are very lightweight and dry quickly. I love the cargo pockets! Personally, I would like back pockets as well and narrower belt loops. However, I liked them enough to order three more pairs of shorts!

Very comfortable, quick drying. These are the only shorts I wear on our sailboat in the Caribbean. I normally wear size 8-10 in pants. Medium fits great.

Great shorts, nice material & construction, but inseam short @ 6". Would have bought more if longer shorts offered, like 9" inseam. Can use them but not ideal.

love the comfort and style. You used to make these shorts with a larger zippered pocket on both sides. I would like to see the larger zippered pockets again for better storage function. I'm always on the go and need my hands free. I could barely put a credit card and some cash in the one secured zipper pocket. I've been wearing your shorts for over 20 years and will continue to do so. Just would like larger zippered pockets again. Thanks

These are very functional and about the right lenght. I will say they do run a bit on the small side but i like my shorts a little loose. They wear and wash very well.

I purchased 3 pair several years ago and just got some more. they are durable, comfortable and dry quickly. Love the zipper picket for my ID and some cash to take on the river. The other pocket has an overlapping flap on the top and is easily reachable while you kayak. They did make the zipper pocket a perfect size but one suggestion to the company is to put in a longer zipper like they had before and velcro on the other pocket that overlaps.

I've been wearing this type of shorts for several years and love the material. For Florida beach life, they are my everyday attire for running around. I haven't found any other brand that I like as well for the price. That being said, these run smaller than the previous Sandy River cargo shorts and have less roomy pockets. I don't use the belts, but if you do, there's not much to them.

These shorts are comfy but the belt is a little cheap. They look wrinkled all the time. They wash well and feel cool but don't look all that great. They are functional and that is about all I can say about them.

I bought these and the cross on over shorts for a recent back packing trip. I knew I only needed one pair and these are the ones that went back. They fit quite long almost to my knees and run large. Unless you need to the extra length for the type of hiking you are doing I would recommend the cross on over shorts instead. All in all they do seem like good quality shorts, perhaps try 2 sizes.

great quality, pity they are shorter in leg length than my older shorts from Columbia.

I have many pairs of these cargo shorts and wear them all the time, they are very light . My older pairs seem slightly longer which I like a little better.

This fits a bit small. Should have went up on size.

Cute and comfortable enough for running and paddling. Surprisingly, not comfortable for sitting. Pockets are deep enough for an iPhone 11, but I'd keep an eye on it. I am still lamenting the demise of my last pair of Columbia shorts, baggy water shorts that I wore til they literally ripped. I would love to see that style make a comeback -- give me a 7-inch inseam and room to move any day. Otherwise, what's the point of this type of shorts?

The material is light and airy seems like they will work well if they get wet. Belt is included. That's a nice extra. Size around the thighs is too tight and will pull, possibly tear, when you sit down. Appreciate the 30 UPF sun protection.

Based on Columbia's measurements and other clothes I've worn from them, I'm a true size 14. The size L fits very snug around waist and hip. So much that I would not be comfortable wearing them, not sure if I will return or exchange. Otherwise appears to be great quality.

Found your site looking for Weatherproof Garment Co. My favorite shorts have their label. Your site carries similar cargo shorts of which I bought 2 pair. Thought I was buying very similar product, lots of functionality, roomy pockets. Fabric is fabulous, shorts are very comfortable but shorts lack utility features. Extra pockets at front are tiny & did you forget the back pockets? Must have been an over site, right? If not for these issues the shorts would be absolutely perfect. Oh & the regular front pocket opening ends to low at side seem. Items in pockets fall out when I sit down. Please accept these comments as a positive review. I look forward to new quality cargo shorts & pants from you in the near future.

Nice shorts, but the legs are too flared (wide) for my taste. There's around 4" of empty leg if I hold the hem of a leg out to the side, making them a bit skirt-like. I have normal-sized legs (not skinny).
