I love these shorts! They are so comfortable. They may run a tad big, I ordered a small and wonder if I could wear an XS. Other than that they are great!

I love these shorts and own many pairs of them. I work outdoors in the heat and humidity and the comfort of these shorts is beyond compare. I use the cargo pockets for my cell phone and other devices as well as treats for my horse (I am a horseback riding instructor). Away from the barn these shorts are always cool and comfortable and look nice and neat. Thank you for making such a great product!

great fit, just what i needed for summer time

I bought these shorts for running as I prefer a sturdier fabric than the typical running shorts and also prefer shorts with pockets to store keys and gel pacs.

great fit - not too long & not too short

I love these shorts. These are my favorite shorts and haven't been able to find them in stores in our area.

I like these shorts so much that I bought two pairs, blue and beige. They are comfortable and easy to care for. They have deep pockets for cell phones and other gear so they are great for hiking. They are neither too tight nor too baggy. They also arrived fast and with no shipping fees.

Excellent shorts but I would perfer no zipper or button on front of shorts.

Lightweight fabric, washes well. Great all around, bought similar Columbia shorts several years ago. Love them.

I wear these every day and can go any where and do anything in them. Can not get enough of these shorts!

The Sandy River shorts that I bought 5 years ago are still going strong. The perfect short.

I love these shorts! I've had my first pair for over 5 years, and they are still in great shape. Having moved to the tropics, I wear them year-round and needed an additional pair. Comfortable, easy fit. The belt loops have been enlarged, so it is easier to re-thread the belt through them after the laundry, or to completely remove the belt for laundering. Light weight, quick dry fabric with UV protection. Best shorts I've ever had!

Perfect! I ordered these for an upcoming trip to Costa Rica. They fit perfectly. I generally wear a size 10 and the medium fits absolutely perfect. They are a great length and are super lightweight. They have a nice zippered pocket so you can put a few items in to ensure that they do not get lost. I ended up getting them in black and green.

A little loose fitting, but they got the front pockets right this time. Much deeper than the last model. A keeper.

These shorts are awesome! I bought 2 pair! The fit is loose, very lightweight, the belt can be removed, plenty of pockets - just what I have been looking for. The small was a perfect fit! I usually wear a size 4 - and I wanted the shorts to be loose, so small was great. Columbia products are well made!

These are great shorts. Very light weight and quite comfortable and for those of us who prefer not to show plumber's butt when bending over, they are perfect-probably sitting 1/2 inch to 1 inch below my waist. Of course, I knew I would like them because they are Columbia and I have never been disappointed by any of their clothing. It always fits, is always excellent quality and priced very well. Even though these are cargo shorts, the dark color and style make them suitable for more than just outdoor activity wear. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a good quality, lightweight all around good short. (And they are not too short!)

Like these shorts. Of course!! I bought some 15 years ago and they are still holding up well but colors are fading slightly with time. I bought medium shorts years ago so I ordered mediums again. The sizes have changed thru the years. The new mediums were a bit smaller in thigh area and shorter waisted from crotch to waste band. I had to return them and order a large which I have never worn before. The large gives me more room in thighs and inseam, but now the waste is quite big. I will keep the newer ordered shorts but will have to cinch in the waist with the nice belts that come with. It will gape a bit at waist but I wear shirts out so this wont show. The quality seems good still on the newer short, just sizes, shape of short have changed a bit.

Online products seem to run smaller than items I purchase in store.

A little short for my age (over 60) but I use for swimsuit coverup

I have these shorts in other colors, Large is perfect in the other colors. I once bought an XL and they were HUGE. So I ordered a Large and they are smaller than my other larges in the same shorts. They fit and I like the style so I'll keep them

I’m 5’7”, 160lbs. I ordered the medium. The length was great and they fit well around the waist and leg. But I could feel the material twisting when I walked making them ride up between my thighs.

Wonderful shorts that fit my wide hips. Pockets are too small to comfortably fit smartphones.

Great shorts. The 6 inch length in perfect for my active work place. They are also a good length and they have a nice shape for my wider hips. The main downside is that the pockets are just a little two small for smart phones and other larger items.

Haven't had a chance to wear on a hike yet, but I like the fit and look forward to wearing on my trip to Spain next month. I am 5' 2" and weigh 155 lbs, normally buy size 12 and Large fits me just right.
