I have an older pair of these shorts in khaki and wear them a lot. When I saw the other colors I just had to have them so I got purple, aqua and pink. I love the feel and drape of the material along with all the various size pockets. These shorts pack well, wear well and dry quickly if they get wet. I'm 5' 3", 117 lbs. and find the small to fit perfectly. I also like the 6" seam as they fall mid-thigh on me which is a length with which I'm comfortable.

I bought the first pair and loved them so much I bought 2 more for next summer. They are super comfortable and do not ride up on my thighs. That was a major concern for me. I am an average size 12 and bought the size 14 which I am very happy to say fit really nice. the lenth was good for me. I am 5'5" tall.

Great shorts, runs a little big in size. Wish the shorts were about an inch or inch and a half longer.

I now have every single color of these shorts. I have been wearing this style for over 2 yrs now. I love the pockets as my iPhone fits perfectly when I go on my daily 8 mile walk. These r highly recommended. Cool & comfy!

Great length and weight for wearing in the water.

I have 4 pairs and I love everything about them. They're light weight so they dry quickly if they get wet, they're the perfect length for gardening, hiking, and biking, and the elastic waistband gives comfort with every bend and reach! Great quality with the construction, I hope they add even more colors!

I wear these for pickle ball, both indoor and outdoor. They are extremely lightweight which I like. The material is durable. I once hiked a mountain so steep that the only way down was to slide on my butt. The material has no wear from that day. None.

These are my go-to summer shorts. They are comfortable for everyday wear, pull on easily, wash and dry quickly, great for fishing or any other place you might get wet.

Loved these shorts--just the right length, quick drying and comfortable. Ran a bit large but otherwise great like most Columbia products.

These shorts are basically the same style as some I purchased about 5 years ago with some modifications to the side pockets. The fit is the same and the function is the same, which is what I wanted. They are nice and lightweight for summer activities and dry fast when they become wet. Now if I could only find a pair of capris designed similarly with bigger side pockets.

Great styling, good fit, nice fabric. I like the slightly longer length of these compared with the Sandy River Shorts. The yolk at the back makes for a nice fit with the elastic waist eliminating the usual bulk. The cargo pockets are a bit small. A zip pocket at the waist would make these perfect. Love the colors...

I've been wearing Columbia cargo shorts for years. They wear well, dry quickly, and offer secure zip pockets for essentials. You can't go wrong packing these shorts for travel, too!

These are the best shorts I have ever bought. I absolutely love them. I bought two colors and am seriously thinking of buying the other colors too! I wear them every day and when one is in the wash, I'm wearing the other. They dry so quickly. I love them....perfect.

I love these shorts. Great fit, true to size, easy care and lots of colors. I got these for a mid-April trip to Florida and they held up great through several wearings. Very comfortable. I will definitely get more colors.

LOVE these shorts! Fabric is cool, light-weight, and dries quickly, and wrinkle-free. The medium fit just right. I'm 5'6" weigh 130. I have 2 pairs and wish they had more colors cuz I'd definitely buy more.

Love my Columbia shorts for river running, but I got this new pair and they looked so good that I took them out for a non-wet hike. A twist of fate closed our intended trail, making us turn to a waist-high water-wading adventure. Luckily, I had these awesome shorts on, which were up to whatever challenge. NICE. Material is comfortable, fit is good. Like the pockets. Cut is flattering and simple. Great job.

I love the quality and length of the cargo shorts and the colors they come in but would like to have larger pockets, especially the zippered one. I will be going on an expedition and more pocket space would be great especially since we will be away from the ship quite a bit. Another plus is the quick drying fabric the shorts are made of.

I wear shorts for work, 8 months of the year. They fit well and are very comfortable. The only problem is static. Maybe when the summer returns the static will disappear. Otherwise they wash and wear well.

These shorts come from a line of the very best shorts ever made. They are sun protected, durable, quick dry, and have zippered pockets. Thank you very much for these very high quality shorts.

I have an old pair of Columbia water shorts and have been looking for another. I love how light they are, perfect for hot summer days. So glad to find this directly on the website, making my search much easier. The lightweight fabric, many pockets, elasticized waistband and inseam length are why these shorts are so perfect for me. The only change I'd like to see is to replace the mesh pockets with the fabric so keys don't snag. Otherwise, don't change a thing!

I bought one pair of the Sandy River shorts and I love their light weight and quick dry quality. I wear them for workouts, as boardshorts in the ocean and pool, for walking and just around the house. The zip pocket is great. Came with a belt, but I find that useless. I immediately bought two more pair in different colors. The fit is great, although an inch or two shorter would make leg lifts easier.

Light weight shorts with pockets deep enough to be useful. Good color for not showing dirt. I've had an old version of these for many years, only buying new ones for a different size. I expect to be just as happy with these.

These shorts have a wonderful vibrant color. Material is lighweight and very comfortable. Unfortunately I am a "petite" so the small size is very very roomy. But I bought them for yard work and they are perfect.
