I love this shoe, but you have to be into the barefoot thing. The shoes have absolutely no support or cushion, but they're solid and will protect you from dangerous things on the ground. Basically these shoes give you a tetanus-free and socially acceptable way of appearing barefoot in public. The yellow is a beautiful, subtle color (my feet are awkwardly large and I'm generally looking for ways to make them disappear). They're elegant enough to wear going out and comfortable enough (again, if you're okay feeling barefoot) to wear on long walks. A+. (Another thing - I'm a size 9.5 and tried both the 9 and 10. The 9 is definitely better, and stretched a little.)

Love these shoes. They are a great unobtrusive way to walk around "barefoot." They look okay, but with the synthetic materials there is no breathability or air flow at all. If your feet have a tendency to sweat, you may experience some odor issues.

I'm so into this shoe. The quality of the black material is amazing. Nothing seems to scratch it. I wear these shoes every day: dog walking, work meetings, even in dance class. I would buy more pairs, with different color options. Vivobarefoot: please consider Navy and a classic Red! Hint...hint...hint!

Great compared to other ballet flats, merely adequate compared to Vivo's old Kali style. The sole is thin and flexible, and it is a true zero-drop shoe. But the toe box is of conventional width, not wide like Kali was. My feet cannot spread out the way they could in Kali. Because of the toe box I will not buy another pair of these, or the more expensive leather ballet flat.

I have three pair of these in different colors. I love barefoot style shoes, I love to go barefoot and usually take my shoes off as soon as I get home but I do not automatically take these off, they are so comfortable. So if you are like me and would rather not wear shoes these are for you.

LOVE THESE SHOES! I have been waiting for a plain ballet flat that looks good for work and doesn't squish my toes. These are truly minimalist, and the feeling of having my feet free not just while running, but also at work, is pretty thrilling. The fact that they come in a couple fun colors is icing on the cake. The yellow is even nicer in person, a bit greener than it looks in the photos. These do run a bit more narrow than other Vivos, though, so I would recommend sizing up.

Update: Somehow accidentally ordered my second pair in a 41 instead of a 42. My usual size is a 10. The 41 fits much better, though it is ever so slightly short. (I have a long second toe). I am happy to report they do stretch a bit, and I am now very pleased with the 41. I was a bit concerned about the pale sole on the brown shoes, but it actually looks just fine. Also, I wore them all week at a rainy outdoor retreat center, and it would appear as though they are actually waterproof! Bonus!!! These will be fantastic Portland winter shoes!

So comfy! A little wide on my on-the-narrow-side-of-medium foot, but works for me because of the gentle elastic on top. The yellow is more of a golden mustard color. The material really looks and feels like leather, as does the lining, so I had to check again to be sure it was vegan. Getting another pair. Love Vivobarefoot!

Super cute and well made minimalist ballet shoe. I’m usually a 8.5 or 39 and I ordered a 40. It’s a little big, but I can wear socks with them if I want. They have a large toe box which is great for your toes, but if you want something more delicate looking and snug you should look elsewhere.

I had to buy these directly from Vivobarefoot since my size wasn't available on Zappos. I am normally a size 9.5 but I can sometimes fit in a 9. For these shoes I am a 10 with little extra room. I love the way they fit on my toes and I feel like I am wearing a leather sock. The only negative is that one of the shoes is cutting into the back of my heel. It's not that the shoe is too small, just rubbing from the leather. I'm hoping this will go away in a couple of weeks because she shoes look better on than the picture and can certainly be worn to work as well as casually. I have so much confidence that the rubbing will get better that I have already ordered them in another color since they seem to be hard to find in all sizes.

Great barefoot shoe. I adore the toe space in this shoe! Now I cannot wear other ballet flats because my toes feel scrunched.
The first time I wore these shoes, the elastic was way too tight and cut into my foot. I thought I would have to not wear them again. My solution was to role the shoe into a tight coil, stretching the elastic, and tying a hair tie around it to keep it in place. I left them like that for 2 days and then unwrapped them. After that, the elastic had stretched just enough to not be uncomfortable anymore! So glad I stuck with them.

Durability: 10/10! Although it felt a bit odd paying so much for non-leather shoes, I definitely do not regret this purchase. I walk between 6-10 miles a day to and from work and prefer minimal shoes. That being said, I tend to wear through them with relative speed. Unlike all my previous shoe purchases, the Vivobarefoot seem to be holding up. They haven't scuffed and have yet to betrayed any evidence of wear after about a month of near constant walking. Fit: I bought a size 10 after reading the reviews about the wide toe box and am happy I did. Average size 10 shoes are a smidge too narrow for a my wide feet, but these definitely accommodate. My long toes pushed up against the front of the shoe for about a day, but the material stretched to fit shortly thereafter. They are flexible and comfortable, v durable, and do everything you want a minimalist shoe to do (or not to do). Style: I gave these flats 4/5 stars for style because although I appreciate that they're super utilitarian and aren't going to loose their sheen any time soon, they appear a bit dowdy and conservative with the large toe box. Overall though, they are durable, attractive shoes that are worth the price.

I love these simple elegant understated black flats! I am a size 8, so I ordered both 7.5 and 8.5 (why aren't there whole sizes?). The 7.5's were a little tight, but after wearing them for a week they stretched a bit and fit perfectly now. As others have mentioned, these are total barefoot shoes, no padding whatsoever. They're super comfortable for walking around in. Only complaint is no ventilation, but even this has not been bad except for in extremely hot weather. These shoes look great with casual or dressy outfits, and so far have been really durable. I may order more in other colors.

My physical therapist encouraged me to wear barefoot shoes and I love what they have done for me! What I appreciate about Vivobarefoot is they have cute styles. This shoe is comfortable and cute. They look like a ballet slipper and I can wear them with anything. I wear and love Merrell barefoot brand as well - Vivobarefoot has better styles and color choices.

I've had the black Jing Jing for a couple years now. I'm very impressed with the durability of whatever the vegan upper is made of - nothing seems to scratch it, and rain doesn't seem to ruin it (although it's still not great in the rain, I wouldn't recommend wearing them outside on a rainy day). They definitely give the barefoot experience, which I love, although walking around in the city on pavement all day is a bit tiring to my feet. I'm certain that as a species humans were running around barefoot in the days before we had invented paved roads and sidewalks - we'd run around on dirt and possibly grass, which are softer than pavement. For that reason, this shoe feels most "natural" to me when I'm indoors, walking on carpet. The style is wonderful and cute, and it goes with just about everything. I have no complaints there. Here's the big issue for me (and the reason why I'm rating this shoe only three stars): whatever the vegan upper is made of, it's not breathable at all, and my feet sweat uncontrollably and rather uncomfortably when I wear them. I have to wear some kind of socks to try to control the odor and to absorb the sweat - but even in black cotton gym socks, my feet still get uncomfortably sweaty. This is enough of a comfort issue that I decided not to order any more of the Jing Jing, and I'm on the lookout for some replacement black "barefoot" flats.

I have been on the hunt for cute barefoot shoes that are not athletic looking. I liked these because they are very clean and simple. They are okay. They look cheap in person and the sizing felt weird on my narrow feet. 9 felt like they were falling off and 8 felt a little cramped (I wear size 8½). I stuck with the 8 in hope of them molding to my feet. I kept them because the sole is flexible and I have not found anything else that feels barefoot and is simple in design.

I like the style of this shoe; a nice simple ballet flat with a wider toe box. It seemed very comfortable upon trying them on, but within a few minutes, my feet were uncomfortably warm. I wished they would breathe more. I really wanted to like these, but I will be returning them.

Cute shoe, lovely color. I thought I would like the barefoot feel... but it turns out that absolutely no support is not enough for me. Going back.

I am a size 7 and although a size 37 is a 6.5, they fit like a 7.
I bought them because I'm trying to wear shoes that are wide enough so as not to squish my toes into an unnatural position. I will probably get a little arch support pad in there, as I do have a hight arches, but other than that very happy with my purchase.

I know it goes against the idea of barefoot shoes, but I put insoles in mine. The thing is, I have plantar fasciitis and I need shoes that are "deep" enough to add my thick, high arch insoles. These are the only ballet flats that have enough room for that. with the inserts in these, I still have room to wiggle my toes. I would love it if they brought back more colors!
