I liked these shoes but the color looks more grey than taupe. That is not what I was looking for color-wise, but they are comfortable if you are looking for light, non arch supporting flats.

Believe the reviews when they say wearing these shoes is like walking barefoot. There is absolutely no support. I figured they might be softer though, like a slipper, but they were surprisingly stiff, almost like cardboard. They are cute, but I wanted a softer shoe.

ended up returning these. I bought this shoe because I'm looking for a minimalist work shoe with a decently wide toe box and no heel. I agree with many of the negative reviews here: I didn't like the plastic material that covers the shoe (no breathability and I'm not crazy about the look in black), the shoe was a bit tight where both pinky toes meet the toe box. If I liked the shoe more I would have exchanged for a half size up (7) from my usual flat shoe size (6.5). The deal breaker for me is the elastic surrounding the inner shoe: it looks cheap and feels rough. I have tender spots on the top and one side of my foot from where the elastic scratched. I'm giving 3 stars because I loved the Vibram grippy soles.

I bought a half larger size based on the reviews but the shoe felt like a box, shorter at the toe and wider. It is always hard to find slip on shoes that stay on but I think that these would hurt from being to short and the next size up would be way too wide and I have fairly wide feet already.

As a devoted fan of the Kali, these shoes did not breathe, and for a barefoot shoe are really narrow! I have wide, flat feet that have thrived in the Kali before as my go-to shoe for the office.
I will give some stars for style and no break-in time needed but that is about it.

I really wanted to love these shoes. They looked so cute, I loved the style and the color. Sadly, they were tight and incredibly narrow. I was hoping for a true barefoot shoe with a nice wide toebox, but these are not. They are ever-so-slightly wider than most ballerina flats on the market, but still not wide enough for a healthy foot used to going barefoot. (please note that my marking "no arch support" on the rating is a GOOD thing. I don't want arch support.)

I was hoping that these shoes would be instantly comfortable, but they are taking a while to feel okay. The elastic is so tight that my foot feels jammed up into the toe. Going up a size on these might help, but I wouldn't want the shoes to be bigger. The elastic digs into my heel, but either it is stretching out or I am getting accustomed to it. I do wear them a lot, even for long walking days. There is no support whatsoever, but I knew that. I do like feeling the ground beneath my feet. The material doesn't exactly look like leather, but I feel better knowing that it is a vegan shoe.

I wanted to like these shoes. I'm normally a solid 9 in casual shoes and generally a 39 in Euro sizes. But, these definitely fit like the 8.5 they say. The shoe itself is a nice low profile ballet and the taupe color is lovely. It doesn't look like vegan "leather." However, I also bought a similar Hushpuppy Chaste Ballet style and I like them better as they have some support and my feet don't feel crowded. I don't necessarily hate barefoot styles, but I can't imagine standing or walking for too long in these. I'll be returning these.

It felt bigger and wider than your normal size 6.5. When I put in an orthotics insole, it felt just good. The style is cute but too plain to be casual and too casual to be business casual... The vegan texture doesn't look as good as faux-leather. Comfortable though.

I love the fit and practicality of this shoe. I do not love how the material doesn't breathe at all. I've had my shoes barely two months, my feet are shot and sweaty quickly into the first thirty minutes if wear and the insides now have an odor. Doesn't matter that I wear a slipper sick to wick moisture. Would love to see Vivobarefoot make this shoe in a breathable textile...cotton, hemp, bamboo...all vegan too, right? And breathable!

I really want to love this shoe because it is cute and flexible - a good barefoot shoe that goes with my office clothes. Unfortunately, the toe box is more narrow than expected for a barefoot shoe. I expected a well-rounded toe box but the shape cuts into my little toe and causes blisters. I'd send them back, but they've already been worn outside.

I really wanted to like these shoes. The style is cute but the leather was stiff and uncomfortable at the edges. And the shoes were short. Maybe if the leather had been soft they would have worked but back they go.

This sock had the same fit and support of a sock; barely there and lightweight. Would probably be a descent commuting shoe because they can fold down to your bag to a very small size however mine wore down in less than a few months. I wasn't happy with the overall quality of the sole.

I really did not like these. They felt pretty cheap, they were not breathable at all, and the elastic around the top and heel pushed my foot forward so my toes were uncomfortably snug against the front of the shoe. Regarding sizing - I usually wear a 7½, and I have two other pairs of Vivobarefoot shoes that I wear a 38 in. The 38 of these was too small - the sole was literally ¾" shorter than the soles of my other 38s. I exchanged them for a size 39, and though the sole of these matched the soles of my others and they technically fit, they were still uncomfortable.

I really liked the look of these and I loved the space in the toe box. However, I'm ticked I had to send these back because, despite me buying the appropriate size, my toes would hit the front of the shoe with every step I took. I wore them around the house for a day, but in the end I decided that my toe scrunching, crappy flats from Old Navy were more comfortable than these. Just to give you an idea, I've consistently been a US size 8 1/2 in normal shoes and US size 9 in running shoes. I ordered the size 40 (US women's 9). Nope, too short. I finally got around to trying to order the next size up only to find out they are sold out of that size.

This shoe is cute and comfortable, although maybe a tiny bit small. However after about 2 weeks of wear, I need to retire them due to sweat/odor. I cannot express how much these shoes make my feet sweat (not normally a problem for me). After weeks of telling me to wash my feet every time I took the shoes off, my husband said it was either him or the shoes. As cute as the shoes are, he's cuter.

I had a pair of Vivobarefoot Kalis, and they were wonderful. They discontinued that shoe so I ordered the Jing Jings, hoping they would be a good replacement. These shoes are incredibly narrow (by Vivo's standards) and uncomfortable. I was very disappointed.

Wanted to love these - vegan black ballet flats? Yes, please! I'm a 7.5/8 and couldn't find a size that fit. The 38 was too small and the 39 too big. Also, the front of the shoe just isn't flattering. I was hoping it would have kind of a modern look, but it just looks funky (and not in a good way).

Vivo Barefoot and Jing Jings are not shaped like a healthy bare foot. So, your toes will not be encouraged to spread into a healthy shape when you wear them. If you measure a size 7 1/2 at the length of your big toe, your shoes will feel short if you get a 7 1/2 because the very rounded toe will be longest at your center toe. Sizing up to an 8 1/2 won't work. Toes should face straight ahead and the longest part of the shoe should be at the end of the big toe. Otherwise, the big toe is forced into a slant. Sure, the vivo barefoot jing jing and to a lesser extent tricot toebox is bulky, but not in the shape of healthy toes, so the space doesn't help you, it just looks strange. The Tricots stretch like footies. They are made of mesh, so they breathe, and the uppers conform to some extent to the shape of your foot. But the soles do not. The tricots are not exactly cute. The jings look like wide ballet flats. They don t breathe, so your feet will sweat. Vegan barefoot ballet flats are a very good idea. I wish I could find some.

I was disappointed in the sizing of this shoe - I'm a 9 1/2, and there's no size 9 1/2. The vivobarefoot site had this big questionnaire that advised me to buy a 9, but that was too small. I shouldn't have listened to the review that said they stretch - I wore the shoes out and about to help them "stretch", and they didn't, and now I'm stuck with these too small, and expensive, flats. My advice is to go a half size up if there's any question, compare them in length to your regular shoes, and go with a fit like a regular shoe.

There is a large seam right above the big toe that rubs my toe each time that I take a step. That is very uncomfortable! These shoes are going back.

I use the Vibram FiveFingers Entrada sandals that has a flexible sole and webby material, making it very comfortable to wear. However, it is not office appropriate. Vivobarefoot Jing Jing has a very firm sole and cheap, plastic-looking body, so it's not comfortable to wear: shoe's edges chafe at the heel. The firm sole (no flex other than the curve that's built into the sole) makes walking barefoot on the floor more comfortable than using this shoe. On one foot, I felt a firm ridge along the bottom of the bit-toe side of the foot, like a manufacturing defect along that side of the shoe. It also bothers the bunion I have on one foot (unlike the Vibrams). I am not new to minimalist shoes: I run using the Vibram FiveFingers BiklaLS shoes. I do not recommend Vivobarefoot Jing Jing.
