A great lightweight shell for most activities, short of serious mountaineering or off-piste skiing. I like that the OR fit is slim without being constricting.

This jacket so far has been absolutely amazing exceeding my hopes. I live on the east coast of Canada and conditions are cold, wet, and windy in the spring, this jacket performed flawlessly. I run to work everyday and work out side and wish we had gear of this caliber in the forces.

I bought this jacket and a pair of the Foray pants specifically for a carbine and pistol match that I was competing in where there was a 100% chance of driving rain for the duration of the match. They both performed perfectly, keeping me totally dry although the rain was relentless and I was in it (mostly without any other cover) for nearly 5 hours straight. I was slightly concerned when I unboxed them because I felt that they might get damaged due to the activities/conditions encountered in these run and gun matches, but they came through without even a scratch. Can't recommend them enough!

Zipper is very stiff. Almost feels like it might break at first.

Great over all Gore Tex jacket for teh price. Easy to pack for backpacking trips and did a great job when I was in the rain, wind, and snow when backpacking in the Enchantments last spring.

So I'm a plus size woman and I LOVE the fit of the men's jackets. The are great. They also work well with a fleece or something underneath but I use it for cycling and its nice and light and waterproof.

I bought a M for a friend who is probably 150lbs and 6'-2". It fits him great! The length was good on him but worked well for me at 5'9". (I tried it on before giving it to him!) So far he's only had good things to say about it. He's not an avid climber or hiker just needed a quality jacket. This jacket fits that description! Very well built OR!!!

I love this set. It's is probably the best bang for your buck. I wear these, my LOWA boots and just a thermal top underneath the jacket. ( REI wool thermal top) I was on Mt. Whitney when a storm hit just last week and I felt very good given those conditions. There was 70 mph winds, heavy snow and a little rain. I genuinely felt good the whole time. Both of these pack right into their pockets, which is very convenient for backpackers and anyone who joys organization. They both breath extremely well, if it gets hot you can zip the side of the pants all the way up. I even roll them up like shorts and it works nice.

My first one I used for 5 years before it started to fall apart. It's a great jacket, I recommend a light weight polyester or fleece sweater to pair with it and you can easily with stand cold snowboarding conditions

Bought this for an extended paddling trip because I needed a new rain jacket. It kept all the water out, and worked as a fantastic outer shell when we were hit with colder weather. While not intended for insulating, it did a really good job at keeping me warm. 10/10 recommend this jacket. I'm 6'/ 170 lbs with broad shoulders and I got the large. It fit well, with plenty of room for base layers and warmer jackets underneath.

I recommend this jacket over the Arteryx Shell (Leaf). The past 4 years I have been wearing the Arteryx Shell and I must say the OR jacket beats it just by having pockets for your hands. The Arteryx Shell also started to wear down wear some of my equipment would rub- I chose OR because of their lifetime warranty.

Haven't had a chance to put this jacket fully through the paces but initial fit feels great. It's a feature rich rain shell that fit me true to size. I'm excited about the massive pit zips to regulate body temperature.
