I love the Siren Sport but this Sport 2 is such a disappointment. Just as other reviews have stated there is something in this shoe that rubs the small toe. I have tried the medium and the wide (hoping it would help) but it still rubs. I hope Merrell's returns to the original Siren Sport model; if they do I will be back.

These have good arch support and a nice stiff sole, so they take a long time to break in. I've had mine for about a month and they're starting to loosen up a little. They are cut very low on the ankle, and I can't tie them any tighter without crushing the top of my foot. I'm not sure they'll be any good for actual hiking - no ankle support, they slip off very easily even though the size fits me perfectly, and I think lots of debris will get inside because they are cut so low. I'm somewhat hesitant to try them out on the trails.

Ordered this in 9W to replace an 8.5 regular, needing more room in length and toe box. First day both small toes were irritated, second day, so painful I could hardly walk.
Toe box does not seem wider, even narrower than the ones I'm replacing.
Consequently have to return.

After an 18 month rehab for a severe case of PF, I went on a quest for a shoe that provided just enough arch "support," not a shoe that pushed my arch upwards and tilted my feet to the outside. I originally purchased a pair of Siren Sport 2 in 10M. I gave this shoe a good, long trial and determined that I needed a wide width and perhaps a half size larger. I ordered 10.5W and thought that I had found the perfect shoe. For about 3 days. This shoe has a seam inside that cuts across the outside "knuckle" area of the pinky toe. It is much more severe in the right shoe than in the left. I only noticed this slightly in the 10M, but in the 10.5W it made the shoe absolutely painful. After trying to stretch the shoe out and wearing a stick on pad on my pinky for a few days, I finally gave up. I am wondering why the wide shoe was so much more restrictive than the medium width. I have had success with Merrell Moabs in the past, but this shoe just has flaws. I am back to my Keen Voyageurs and will be looking for a couple more styles from that company.

So I screwed up on this order, thinking I was getting the Siren Sport 2 Waterproof. Alas, not so. I ordered a half size larger as suggested by others, and the fit is good except for the loose heel, also described by others. I put those sticky heel guards in and they help somewhat. I do like the color. In sum, not the greatest purchase for me, but I'm using them.

These shoes are such a strange fit. The toebox is enormous and slopes downwards, creating a well for the toes with a sharp line between toebox and sole, while the rest of the footbed is narrow. The heel is wide. Going down a size does not help. I have had several Merrell shoes but these are not shaped like the others: in fact, I am beginning to think that someone forgot an important step in the design process. I ordinarily wear a size 6.5: if these were not so strangely shaped, I think I would have needed a 5.5 or 6 with an extra sole (yes, they are large). I guess these shoes could fit if you have an eight-shaped foot, but otherwise I think you will be better off with something else.

Great looking shoe, love the colors. Fits true to size for length and width. Negative = laces have been moved up closer to the toe area, creating side straps that rub on the inside foot bone which could develop into a bunion. Returning them.

I've been a loyal Siren Sport user for years and found them super comfortable but this was my first pair of Siren Sport 2 and I am very disappointed. There is a definite difference in the feel. The original shoe had a stiffer heel and it gave you a lift when you were walking. In this shoe I feel like I have to work harder to get my lift off when walking. I'm very disappointed and I will not buy the shoe again.

These shoes are really pretty but the are narrower than they should and they are not very comfortable, I have normal medium wide feet and gave them away to my 16 year old who has narrow feet, she is ok with them.

Definitely not the typical comfort of Merrell shoes; I have worn Merrell for years; felt rather stiff with minimal cushion; toe bed a bit narrow; first pair of Merrells I've had to 'break in'. I hope this doesn't reflect a trend in declining quality or I'll be looking for a new brand.

I've purchased probably 7-8 pairs of the Merrell Siren Sport/Siren Sport 2 over the past few years and I'm sorry to say they are not as good as they used to be, comfort wise. With my first pairs, I'd put them on new and think, "Ahhhh!" They were immediately comfortable. With my last several pairs, it's been, "Oh. These aren't like they used to be." So, I'm sending these back and keeping the Moab Ventilators, which feel a little cushier, but neither is like the Siren Sport of old. I have a friend who thinks likewise, so it's not just me. Thanks, though, to Zappos for the excellent selection of Merrells and quick deliveries and returns.

I liked the support and design but this shoe ran narrow on my medium foot. The right pinky toe kept rubbing on the outside of the shoe as well so I decided to return them.

Even though ordered these in wide they are more narrow than any other wide-sized shoes I have purchased. I love the look of Merrill shoes, but seldom find them in a size that accommodates my feet. I was very hopeful about these, but remain disappointed by the fact they are so much more narrow than other comparable brands.

Love the look and colors of the shoe but am disappointed with the fit after wearing them hiking. The size I ordered fit perfectly however after wearing them I found the shoe rubbing along side my left foot. I even tried wearing bulkier socks but that didn't help. Not much support either.

These shoes look awesome and I wanted them to work, but after a day of wearing them around my home, I had sore spots on the outside of my feet just below the little toe, on both feet. I ordered wide width. It was wide enough until it got to that point, I guess. I think the Siren Sport 2 is a different cut. I wore Merrells in the past with no problems. Sadly, I'm returning them and getting New Balance wide shoes instead.

I adore my Siren Sports but this new version's outside covering is poor quality. These are going back. Disappointed.

I expected them to be more supportive. I bought a half size larger than what I wear to make sure my orthotics would fit, but they are very loose in the heel area and slipped up and down. I also ended up with a blister on my little toe from it rubbing on something inside. Not too thrilled with these shoes.

Initially thought these fit fine but after wearing them for a few weeks the fit got worse. Changed out insert but that didn't help. Toe box is roomy but they just don't fit well. Very disappointing.

I've worn the Merrell Siren Sports for the past 3-4 years. In the Perfect Plum color which I purchased two pair. Walked all over Germany in these babies and loved every step. Sadly, I ordered a new pair and found the sizing has changed as they are now 1/2 size smaller and no Perfect Plum available. I am surprised the sizing would be different. Not sure if I will replace as it makes me wonder if a different manufacturer is now making them and if they would be the same as the ones I loved for several years. I know companies love to be trendy and stay current, but when a product has such rave reviews and a strong following - don't mess with success!! Back these go.

Poor quality inside the shoe around the toe area. Lots of rough edges and seams that cause uncomfortable rubbing and blisters around my wife's little toe. Checking into the return policy but she has put 20 miles on the shoes and has given up on them.

I liked everything about the shoe except that they felt like I was walking on concrete and that they fit narrow.

These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever had. I wish I knew why they felt so uncomfortable for me especially as they appear to work for so many others. They feel as if I am standing on slanted ground. I took out the insole and tried many others but they did not fix the problem. Even walking around in them for half an hour was killing my feet and my legs. They look nice, they appear to be nicely made but they did not work for me.

I have bought several pairs of this shoe over the past couple of years. They are terrific at the start, actually kind of stiff which I like. However, these shoes, like many that are partially constructed with mesh quickly lose the feel of support which I need. I keep lacing them tighter, but that's not a solution. Merrells are great, but I will look for a different style in the future. My overall impression is that they don't last long. Also, the laces never stay tied, even when in a double knot. There is something slippery about them. I have to keep retying them.

These provide good support and tread for trails. I also had to go up half a size to get these to fit (they run short). I have narrow heels and these are a little loose there on me. Also, I hated the laces - they are round, little give, hard to tighten the shoe without feeling the lace cut into top of foot. I replaced the laces with flat athletic laces and they are much better. The shoes could use a little more cushioning for the top of the feet.

Nice looking shoe, and comfortable at first. Wore inside the first day, and took them outside the second day because they seemed fine. Despite having purchased the Wide, they began to pinch my little toes after a few hours.
Zappos won't take them back because they've been worn outside, so I'm stuck with a not inexpensive shoe that's barely wearable.
