Wanted to chime in regarding the heel slippage situation with these shoes. It was definitely a problem. Also, they felt at least a full size too large, which is strange for Merrell shoes as they tend to run small. (The Merrel Moab Ventilator shoes were a full size too small.)

The right shoe has a rough edge inside right below the laces. It irritated my foot when I tried it on.

Advertised as water resistant, but feet get quite wet even in damp grass. Should have spent more for waterproof, I guess, though previous pair of same model had stayed real dry. Something has changed in manufacture of this model. Too bad I wore them outside so now they're non returnable, but how else would one find out they leak?

A little disappointed. I bought a pair of Merrell sandals this summer and they were so comfortable I thought I'd try these. They are not very comfortable and even the wide width doesn't feel that wide. I also had to buy a 1/2 size larger than I usually wear.

I bought these for a trip to Italy. They were supportive but not comfortable. My feet were killing me after a day and I had even changed the insoles to gel ones.

I'm really bummed these don't work for me. The shoes are stylish for a hiking shoe, but they are just not comfortable. The sides of both my feet rubbed so bad I got blisters. It's an expensive shoe to just have sitting in your closet.

Many rough places inside the shoes rubbed on my feet and toes. Very uncomfortable. Need to improve this Merrell. The shoes could have been great as its light and designed to lift the feet as one walks.

I've been trying a lot of hiking shoes lately, trying to find "the one." This one was close but not quite it. The sole is nice and stiff which will be great on rocks. Size wise, they felt a little snug in the toebox and a bit wide in the heel. There weren't a lot of ways to correct this with tying due to the lace configuration. Also, the construction felt a little skimpy or cheap, like they might not last long. Overall, I think these are probably a good shoe for the right person, but didn't work for me. I do love the color and the style and the sole, but it just wasn't a match made in heaven in terms of fit for me. My search continues.

I love Merrell shoes and bought these to replace a similar Merrell style that were wearing out. I ordered a half size larger based on a recent measurement of my foot. I am terribly disappointed that these hurt my feet. There is an area of rigid material that rubs the top of my foot raw on long walks. I took these on vacation and had to tough it out. Because they were the only hiking type shoes I had brought to wear on my trip, they are too used to return. A rare disappointment from Merrell.

I have a pair of Merrell hiking boots that I was able to wear without issue from day one, and thought these would be the same. I was wrong. I really want to like these shoes, but they just plain don't feel good on my feet. I was hoping that over time they would loosen up and not rub on the top of my foot, but my feet don't seem to stay put in the sole of the shoe and inevitably the top of my foot where my toe knuckles (are those a thing?) hit the seams of the shoe and tongue. Every time I put them on, they rub differently which makes it kind of hard to wear them in. I can wear them as kick around the house/garden shoes, but can't wear them if I go very far. The shoes are also really thin on the uppers, but they aren't very flexible. I love Merrell but wouldn't recommend these shoes.

Love the fact that they are lightweight but, alas, no arch support. Will return them.

I haven't worn these shoes yet as I am not sure I am going to keep them. I purchased a pair of innersoles to add cushioning so maybe I will wear them. They have no leather like my old Sirens, are heavier than my old Siren, and are not as well cushioned as my old Siren.

Very sorry to have to return these, because I love Merrell shoes. But I tried thee for a week and the right foot was simply too tight and never relaxed.

I loved the look of this shoe but the moment I put it on I had pain across the top of my foot. This shoe laces "wide" across the top of the shoe and seemed to hit a nerve on the bone above my big toe. I never had a problem with bunions but I discourage you from ordering this shoe if you do. I returned it.

I have owned 2 pairs of Merrell Siren 2 shoes. But this pair I got from Zappos were defected, one shoe had a piece of extra fabric that rubbed against my pinky toe. Returning to get another pair, hope this is just one off.

Not "out of the box comfortable" like the original, but unfortunately discontinued,. Siren Sports. Wish Merrell would bring back originals with the Elephant/Pink colors. These Women's 10.5 were too big in toe box for me and very stiff overall, tried Orthoheel insole in place of thin insole that came with these shoes, but didn't help. They aren't really Olive; more gray and too industrial/manly. Returned. HEY MERRELL, please bring back original Siren Sport!

I bought these to replace a worn out pair of pink and gray siren sports. I got them in the same size, 6 1/2 wide. Even though they seemed to be the same size when compared, the new pair did not fit the same. It rubbed in all the wrong places and did not feel like a wide shoe. It actually seemed to be a sturdier shoe than my original pair, which were more like hiking sneakers than hiking shoes. It's a nice looking shoe, so I was disappointed that it did not fit. I'm going to try a pair of Salomons instead.

I got them in black and like the look of them. I have worn them one time camping and they are pretty uncomfortable. They do fit true to size but the comfort is poor.

Love the look of this shoe but pinched the top of my foot where gusset is. There also is a divot or empty spot where the arch should be!

I have 5 pairs of the Merrell Siren Sport. I am on my feet 12 hours a day and wear orthotics. After purchasing this pair it is clear Merrell has changed their design. There is a new seam stitched exactly where my left baby toe is and it rubbed all day. I tried loosening the laces and nothing helped. Other reviewers have complained about this issue and I only wish I read the reviews first. So sad that I will have to retire from wearing this model anymore.

This was so disappointing! These shoes are not so chunky looking like other shoes in the same category and so adorable! They felt way narrow right before my toes. It also felt like something was poking my foot where it gets narrow. I was going to exchange for a larger size but I am not sure that it would help the problem. Either my feet are not good for these shoes or these shoes are not designed properly.

These are the first Merrells I've ever worn that were uncomfortable. Even though I ordered the same size as my other Merrells (all of which I have loved), they rub on the side by my little toe until now my feet hurt no matter what shoes I put on. After six months of trying to make them work, I am going to have to toss them, they are beginning to feel like they are damaging my feet.

The shoes felt great until I walked upstairs and then the right shoe pinched my foot about midway between the heel and little toe. Merrell should work on quality control, I think.

Merrell has ruined the fit of these shoes. I've bought at least 13 pairs over the last several years, so I'm kind of an expert. I didn't buy any for a while because they never got any new colors. Then I decided to get some anyway as I had none that weren't so worn out that the podiatrist became faint when she looked at them. The last 4 times I've tried to get some, they are cheap and flimsy feeling (even with my own orthotic) and the sizing is completely screwed up. They're a real loss, too, because they were some of the only ones that had some colors that were more neutral and didn't look like someone had spilled paint on them. RIP Siren Sport (2). On a brighter note, Grassbow air fits me well, but has next to no selection in colors.

I bought these for a big trip - I knew there would be a lot of walking and some treks. They were light and less clunky looking than a lot of other styles I looked at. But they are odd-fitting - tight on the top of the arch, even when loosely tied, and then too roomy in the toe box (hiking down sloped terrain = painful toes). Can't say I'd recommend them.
