Felt a bit big - gambled on the size and would have kept them except the color was not as dark as I'd expected - So hoping to find a better match -

I thought this was very cute. I’m either a 9 or a 9.5, with a slightly wide foot. The 9.5 w was extremely long, more like a 10 or even 10.5. It was wide enough but barely; it wouldn’t fit a very thick sock, and it was about the same width as my medium width Caterpillars. These boots are, however, extremely cute, so I am trying the size 9.

I've bought a couple of these over the last 5 years. The first pair fit perfectly until I got them to close to camp fire and I completely melted the bottoms. Whoops. They were so comfortable that I got another pair. Someone stepped on my toe while I was wearing them and the toe box is permanently flattened. Believe the reviews about the weak toe box. It actually happened to both of my pairs. I took the 2nd pair to Burning Man and they handled it well but now they are too dusty to wear in the default world. So of course I had to buy another pair. However, this time they were too tight in the toe box. I checked the size of my other pair and they're the same. I know they were ready to wear both times I bought them before so I'm not sure if they are making them narrower. My feet have not widen but I'm going to try a wide pair this time. I'm willing to give them another try!

Perfect fit, true to size and very comfortable. I bought these boots for myself a few years ago. My daughter who is 17 bought them in a different color this year and loves the style and the fit.

Super soft, loved the zipper feature.

Really, really wanted to love and keep these boots by Rockport. Alas, the seam across the top of the toe box just doesn't break in the right place resulting in discomfort not only the top of my foot but on the sides. Kept hoping they'd feel alright after some time around the house but these just aren't meant to be for my feet.

I meant to include in my review earlier: note that the Grey Leather isn't grey in the slightest. It's a tough color to describe, more like a light warmish silvery brown. If you're looking for grey grey, those just aren't going to work. Even with my wardrobe of all cool or neutral colors (greys, blues, greens, teals, purples), I found the Stone color (which is more obviously neutral and not grey at all) and Almond colors matched better than the Grey Leather did.

I have a pair of these I bought last year in grey, and recently purchased another pair in grey for backups. I knew the 2 greys would be different, and they definitely are. Last year's were a true cool-toned mouse grey. This year's are much warmer in tone, practically taupe. (I tried to upload a pic, but it won't let me. Sorry) I like my old ones much better. That said, I think I'm keeping the new pair anyway. I don't own sneakers that are as comfortable as these boots. They feel like walking on clouds. I get constant compliments on them. I love that they are silent, they make absolutely *no* sound on any type of floor. (the heels are hollow - that's also why people have issues with them falling apart. Just saying.) I baby all my boots my old ones are starting to look pretty worn, which is sad. They've been pampered; I would say that if you're looking for a tough pair of beaters, these probably aren't for you. A note on fit, Zappos says my recommended size is 9.5 but I purchase these in size 9 and they fit perfectly. 9 is my normal boot size, so I'd say stick with your usual size here and you should be good to go. I've not had any problems with the zippers on either pair.

Very nice leather, but too wide for my feet

I purchased two pair originally to wear as an every day boot. Comfortable. I walk a lot. I’ve worn through the soles quickly. Approximately 6 months. The rest of the boot is great. Liked them so much I bought a third pair. But, I’m going to look for something with a bit more durability in the sole. I’m going to try and get them new soles. The zipper is really convenient, especially at the airport. Easy off.

Love these boots, but they run big in length, so had to go down half size.

The boots are cute, but I got them in the 'red' and the color showed up a tepid pinkish cream color. Hideous. They are very comfortable-lots of cushiony feeling around the foot, but sloppy in the ankle, no arch support.

Cute and comfortable. Good room in the toe area. I'm always searching for comfy, cute combat style boots. I've never bought ones with a zipper on the back, usually it's located on the inside side. Taos' Crave is an almost identical looking boot except the zipper is one the inside side. I ordered a pair of those as well and found the side zip boot a lot easier to get in and out of than this one with the zipper on the back. Unfortunately, despite the feminine cut and shape, this boot was a tad too roomy and wide for my narrow feet. I was hoping to create a more snug fit by putting in my own orthotics but unfortunately the footbed liner is not removable. Will have to send these back. So I had purchased these to replace my older Bethany boots. I had them in stone which I loved and wore them out completely. I purchased the grey leather.they are very comfortable casual style boots. I do not like the velvet like lining in them. My feet start to slide around and my bunion bones rub and get sore. So I may return these unless tightening the laces make a difference. My older boots had a knit lining that did not make them uncomfortable.

Love these boots and really wanted to keep them, but they are too wide in the heel, so my heels keep sliding up and down. I need a wide toe box, but not a wide heel. I had hoped wearing thick socks and lacing the boots tight would eliminate the problem; but alas it didn't.

I am on my second pair of Bethany boots. The pair I purchased last fall wore out after five months of relatively heavy wear. Holes wore into both soles of the boots near the ball of the toe, and I was not able to return them (to a non-Zappos dealer) because this would be considered wear and tear, even though the soles should have lasted longer. All that said, I love the fit and look of these boots, which is why I am giving them another chance in a different color. The grey leather pictured on the Zappos website is a little more purple than the boots are in-person. The boots are super comfortable and work well with jeans and skirts.

I love these boots, but the soles wear out quickly. They are very comfortable as an everyday shoe for someone who spends the majority of their time on their feet on concrete and walks a lot. Sadly, in a year (fall through part of spring) I wore down the shoe so much that when I stepped on a tack it poked straight through the insole. It would have cost more to repair the shoes than it was worth in proportion to their overall price, so I bought a second pair. I won't buy a third because they also wore through, which is sad. They're very stylish, and I love them, but they don't stand up to my life. They'd probably be perfect for someone who didn't use them so heavily, though.

Love these boots...Size 10 D--and they Fit!....BUT...I surely do wish that shoe manufacturers would make shoes, boots with WIDE toe boxes. It is so difficult to find items that fit when you are not the average!

I've bought three pair of these now and they've been great until the last pair. After wearing them for only about a month, the rubber sole split entirely. My cobbler says its not repairable. So far the other two pair seem fine, but now I am hesitant to buy any more.

I ordered the teal color and they are so comfortable with the strong arch support. I have worn them several times and never had any discomfort, and they are such a great color with all the gray and black winter clothing!

These boots are so comfortable I never want to take them off! They are the first boots I've ever owned with actual arch support, which makes them easy to walk around in all day. The leather is super soft and the grey color is perfect with jeans. Every time I wear them I get tons of compliments. I have very narrow feet so they're a little wide, but I just wear a pair of thick socks and they fit perfectly!

These boots are super cute, well made, and very narrow. My feet almost always fit into a size 11. The seam across the metatarsals on this boot may be impeding the expansion of that area... way too tight and have to send them back. So sad.

These boots are super comfy to walk in and easy to take on and off because of the handy zipper, and I love the rich blue color. My only complaint is the sizing. I ordered two sizes, and while one was much too big, the other was rather snug. I kept the snug pair, and I had to break them in for a few weeks before I could wear these with warm winter socks, and even then I had to adjust the laces considerably. Bottom line, I would order these again.

I REALLY wanted to keep these. Buttery soft leather. Like the zipper / lace combo - the zippers were not even noticeable and make it very convenient. The width is great. There was just something in the right arch area that was causing my problems. It is probably just my foot for now - have no idea what is going on. The teal color is great with greens or blues - very fun and yet classier than some of the more clunky boots. Definitely give these a test run - I hope they will work for you!
