So, I hated the price on these and almost didn't order. Finally pushed send on the order after a glass of wine, based on both the style and great reviews. I get what all the fuss is about, and I guess the price. I tried these on when they first arrived and didn't want to take them off! They fit perfectly! 6.5 is my normal size (backup is a 7), ordered a 6.5 and they are spot on. Very soft leather, cute fit, and the arch support and soft soles make them feel like you could just walk for days in them. They have a nice, light feel for boots. Have not tried them out with any distance yet, but am expecting good things.

Just got these and I love them, very comfortable. One thing to mention is that the boots I got don't exactly match the photo. I got them in black and the white stitching on them in the photo is much brighter than they are in reality. Also, mine have regular lacing holes all the way up, except for one metal hook at the top. In the photo there are 3 hooks! Otherwise great

Very, very comfortable right out of the box. I am a true 11 and ordered that and the fit was perfect. I think the zipper is kind of unnecessary, as the laces have speed hooks and are super easy to do up, and if you use the zipper they come undone anyway.

These are amazingly comfortable. I have developed a neuroma on the bottom of my foot which makes finding comfortable shoes next to impossible. These are comfortable. Right out of the box! And they look very cool. Buy them if you are so inclined. You will not be disappointed. And BTW, ZAPPOS gets the Mother Theresa award for accepting returns and being incredibly wonderful!

Looove these boots. They’re very comfortable & look great. Walked miles around San Francisco and could have kept going. Didn’t have a single blister; no soreness at all. These are remarkable boots.

I have really tough feet to fit, due to bunions--usually need an 8 wide. I've been on the hunt for a flat casual boot to wear on rainy days when I want stability and coverage. This boot fits the bill. It is super comfy, and the 8 wide fits fine. I love that it has a 7 inch shaft versus the usual 6 inches most boots of this style have. I think the extra inch looks better over leggings and a bit edgier. My only reservation is with the black color. Most of the other colors appear to be polished leather finish. However, the black boot has a polished leather toe, but the rest is nubuck..a suedey finish. I'm not sure this can handle rain. Also, the other colors have tonal stitching but the black has a white topstitch...not my fave. I wish they had used black. I may seek a different black boot and reorder this style in a different shade.

These boots are great! They are extremely comfortable and cute as can be. Lightweight with a soft sueded leather. Love the red zipper on the grey pair! I get compliments whenever I wear them.

I love these boots. They are so comfortable and WARM. Sometimes too warm when I am indoors.

The reviews that talked about the comfort of these boots weren't exaggerating. I think they just might be more comfortable than my New Balance sneakers. I love the color!

I have been searching for the perfect brown combat boot. I spotted this boot but my size was out of stock, so I became a Zappos stalker! I checked back every couple days for a few weeks and finally my size came in! I ordered a few other boots to have a variety to try on, one was the Steve Madden Troopa. I pulled the Bethany boots out of the box and the Steve Maddens, put them side by side and then promptly put the Maddens back! There was just no comparison. Like other reviewers have said the Cobb Hill boot is an amazing boot! So comfortable, great foot support, durable soles, beautiful soft leather and just all around well made! I am so happy I waited and watch for this boot to come in stock. Zappos customer service was as usual very helpful in assisting me with my hunt for the perfect brown combat boot!

I don't usually write reviews for anything. Got these boots yesterday and wore them today. I'm in love. Love the zipper in the unusual place (behind; at the heel) vs. the usual side zipper. The boots are actually better constructed when the body is not interrupted with a zipper. In fact, the zipper looked added in after the boots are put together - makes for really good fit around the lower legs. I wear a size 9 (slip-on shoes) and a size 9.5 (sneakers with socks). I ordered these in a size 10. Roomy in the rounded toes but my feet doesn't slip. I figured there would be room for thicker socks as needed. The inside is lined with a fine knit - comfortable enough to wear without socks. The slight height is good for someone like me who has given up on heels but still covet my youth. There some descent arch support since it does feel like you are wearing 1" heels. I can go on and on. Improvement? Make it waterproof for those cold and/or wet months that require boots.

I really like these boots. They have some nice support and the insole is soft and cushy. I do think they run a tad small. I am a 7 in boots but could have used a 7½ in these. They do run narrow as well in my opinion. Otherwise, they are a great pair of boots.

Arrived damaged. Cute enough...but the toe box is apparently just cardboard inside. Easily dented. Expected more for the price.

These are my absolute favorite boots. I’ve walked many miles in these shoes and they required a zero break-in phase. Hallelujah!

Very comfortable. Was able to wear for hours straight from the box. Color not quite what I was expecting and not sure I would call it grey, definitely a brownish tint but still happy overall.

I'm so glad to have the option of wide width. My foot isn't even overly wide but I've been looking, buying and sending all kinds of boots back with regular width for over a decade. I came across these. Bought them first in Stone color. They felt comfy instantly. No need to 'work them in.' The C width is perfect! I wore those for several months and ended up buying another pair in black. Super comfy, so cute with a thick sole that I feel like I can not only casually 'dress up' in them, but also wear them hiking if I had to! Best boot ever! If you have even slightly wider feel than normal, I'd go for the 'C' with. So appreciate zappos for offering that choice. And to rockport for making them! Gorgeous, stylish and simultaneously rugged!

I am so jazzed that these boots fit my bunion-ridden feet, you have no idea! When they arrived, I was worried that they would not be comfortable. First try-on, they were a little snug. Second time, I was encouraged that they would work out! By the third wearing, they were perfect! I am accustomed to not being able to get cute, stylish shoes because my feet are in such bad shape. Having Zappos as my source for shoes and boots is a God-send. The medium (B) width was better than I expected. Thanks, Rockport and Zappos!!!

These are super cute! When I first tried them on, they felt odd because it seems that I can feel the heel part. As if the sole itself is not sturdy enough and I can feel the difference of where they placed the heel in both shoes. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry to get some walking boots for Belgium in April and there was no time to exchange these to see if the problem persisted. These ended up coming in super handy since my other boots became too tight. They are comfortable despite being able to feel this lump. I was able to disregard it. I walked probably 6-10 miles a day in these shoes, so I highly recommend them. They are actually not that warm, so if using for cold weather pair them with good socks. Also, use waterproof spray as I do not think that they were waterproof. One thing that I did not like was the zipper placed in the back of the shoe. The zipper itself would make a light smacking sound against the zipper teeth that was a bit annoying. But, if they ever make these shoes in knee-highs, I will probably buy them.

I love these boots in a blue/teal but after about three weeks of normal wear the sole is beginning to separate by the ball of my foot from the boot leather. I really had hoped that, for this price, I'd be getting durable boots. Depressing, for the fit of Cob Hill shoes can't be beat for my feet.

Because these are associated with New Balance which are my "go to" work out, walking, supportive shoes, I decided to try these and I'm glad that I did. While I haven't used them yet, I've worn them a lot in the house, trying to determine if I wanted to keep them. So far, they are the perfect length, width for me and feel comfortable. Support is a big thing for me because of severe pronation but these seemed good. I love that you can customize the fit with the laces while being able to remove them quickly by unzipping the back. I think they'll work well under pants or jeans - because the toe is pretty plain and the part around the ankle is narrow - but still think they'll look really cute if they are visible with jeggings or leggings. They are only one of two pair that I'm taking to Scotland so I'm trying to be super picky. Fingers crossed!

Very comfortable and versatile. I did size up a half size as the other reviewers recommended which turned out well for me. Plenty of room for socks. I have problem feet and these boots have rubber soles so they are much more cushiony on hard floors.

These boots are super cute and amazingly comfortable. They zipper in back is a fun detail and makes them very easy to put on / take off without having to tie and untie the front laces. I ordered a 1/2 size up because it works better that way with boots for my feet and I was very glad. They seem a little on the narrow side so the extra length added comfort and undoubtedly improved fit.

Love these boots. I wore them for 10 hours the first day and they were so comfortable. I ordered the larger of the sizes I normally wear so I could wear warm socks. They are perfect and will get lots of wear. I got the stone color which I would call dusty brown. It is great and the suede is so soft. I did not want a boot with a zipper but this zipper up the back works perfectly and doesn't detract from the look. Also easier to get them on and off without lacing. Super happy with this purchase.

These are very comfortable shoes. They have some arch support so it definitely helps with flat feet problems. I can wear these with tight jeans or leggings tugged in, boot cut jeans, stockings and skirts. They are very versatile and perfect for traveling in winter. They are not as heavy and bulky as Dr. Martens. My only complaint is that the shoe laces tend to come off easily. Sometimes a few thread strands would get caught in the back zippers, but once you cut them off the zipper would work pretty smoothly.

These honestly feel like you're wearing sneakers -- I guess because the brand is a New Balance offshoot. The zipper up the back is a nice touch, giving you the adjustability of a lace-up boot with easier on/off. At this price point I don't know if I should expect them to last for several years, but I predict these will be my go-to everyday shoe this fall!
