These pants would have been my first choice of all the hiking pants I tried on. They are well made, and you can get them in Tall, which is amazing. But the rise is so low that it reminds me of the super low rise jeans I wore in the 90's. Too low to be comfortable or appropriate for me. I have no idea why Prana and many of the other good hiking pants are cut this way. They need to come out with a mid-high rise option for those of us who don't want the retro style. I do like the Royal Robbins Jammer II pants, which are long enough and have a higher rise.

I usually wear a size 14 but I ordered these in a 16 since athletic wear seems to run small. In the product pictures, the leg cut on these appears to be slim and fashionable. In person, the lower legs on these were huge and flapped when I walked. The rise was too low for me, and despite the top of the pants fitting well, they were not flattering in the upper thigh region, with unattractive creasing.

These pants were way too low-cut on me, hit like hip-huggers.

I like this company and the pants. Yet, like any major clothing company, sizes aren't standard and these pants seem to just be a pattern meant for smaller framed women that was multiplied. Not exactly a comfortable fit.

Unfortunately most Prana products, especially pants, don't fit me very well.

The quality is stellar. The fit.....not for me. Suggestions about going up in size were right on. However, between the heaviness of the fabric and the look of my bum in the pants, I returned them.

Loved the style. But was short waisted and I am petite. Didn't like that there wasn't more give in the fabric. Sadly, going back.

Well, this is a tough one. I like the fabric. The fit is not so good, though. They are so low-waisted that I'm constantly tugging them up which is just plain frustrating when I'm out photographing; every time I crouch down, I have to adjust them. That might mean 20-30 times per hour. My rule with outdoor clothes is that I don't think about them when I should be thinking about what I'm doing instead. So, they're a fail. Incidentally, It's not a matter of being overweight; I'm 5'10", 140#

Great pants but came with 2 different price tags that said $79.00 and Zappo's charged $85. Look somewhere else.
