I found this shoe to be a little too tight. I would suggest ordering 1/2 size up.

I ordered the Born Julianne in mid brown. Nice looking shoes, reasonably comfortable (although I found them to be a little short - my big toe was pushing slightly against the end of the shoe in a size 9 - I am usually a large 8.5/small 9). Leather already looked slightly aged so I imagine they will scuff up even more as they're worn. I don't have a problem with the "vintage" look, but it definitely makes this style seem less dressy. I ended up returning these, partly because they just aren't the right shape for my feet, but also because they seemed like they were not a very good quality shoe for $85. The insoles, while a cute print, aren't removable, and didn't have much arch support. The rubber soles looked cheap. I have been very happy with other Born products, but will keep looking for my perfect brown flats.

I was really hoping for the dream ballet flat - good arch support, cute, and durable - this one seems durable, but fell flat on the other two wishes. It looks like a “comfort shoe” and the arch support is meh. Good compared to a cheap old navy flat, but not as good as the price demands.

The Noche/Tan color in the picture looks like light brown. The shoes I received are less brown, more pale (closer to nude color) which isn’t what I wanted so I’m returning. However, they felt very comfortable.

I am returning these. Although cute, I found that the stitched edge burrowed into my skin at both my ankle and the top of the foot by my toes. Too painful to even try to see if they would break in and become softer. Ouch!

I wanted to love these. Desperately need a flat my orthotic fits into. With my extra insole they were just a little to tight so I have to send them back. They looked soooo cute on.

I really wanted to like these as the style is very nice and versatile, but they ran small. I ordered berry and wasn't thrilled with it either.

I wanted these to work -- they are cute. But the left shoe was too tight! Usually, I have the opposite problem, but this time the left was just too small.

I am not impressed with this expensive ballet flat. There is no cushion at all. The fit is just okay. I expected more from Born than this. I have other Born shoes and sandals that I like very much. I will be returning these shoes.

The color is not navy but more like purplish blue. Doesn't match navy outfit at all.

I ordered 1/2 size smaller. The left foot was too short but the right was too long. Not a good fit for me. I do have multiple Born shoes that are a perfect fit.

This style flat, Julianne, used to fit me perfectly. I had to send back the M width and order the W width for it to fit. However, they also changed the heel cup. It now comes up quite high in the back of my heel giving me a blister. I've noticed that Born also changed the Lilly flat making it narrower in the toe. I've tried so many times to wear them only to swear never to put them on again since my bunion hurt so much at the end of the day. I never had that problem with the old style Lily flat. Why oh why do they keep changing the fit and yet still call the shoe by the same name? One is expecting that same wonderful fit..... but, alas, it is not! Getting very disappointed in Born. Vionic flats have good support, but also comes up quite high on the heel which I don't like.

Unfortunately I had to return this shoe. I thought it was navy, as labeled, but it really is a grey blue which was not what I wanted.

I was really excited to receive these, as I've been looking for gray flats for some time. However, while these are adorable and seemed perfect, the pair I received had a funny wrinkle on the front and looked damaged. I like them enough that I'll try to exchange them for a different pair in hopes that wrinkle was just an off pair.

Although this shoe fit my wide feet well (and didn't gap at the sides with each step like so many do!), I'll have to agree with another reviewer who said that the gray color scuffs too easily. They even had scuffs on them straight out of the box....so unfortunately back they go.

I order the black but Zappos sent me the brown. The color was terrible, but the shoe was nice. Thank goodness for Zappos return policy.

Two problems with this shoe. One is the stitching around the opening which I felt was uneven in some places, also it applied some pressure on my foot- not elastically exactly but tighter than the rest of the shoe. Second, whatever they moulded the toe around left a slight impression in the leather which was uneven with the rest of the shoe. For the price I expect it to look and feel perfect and sadly once I noted the imperfections I couldn’t unsee them

Ordered a regular 9.5, my usual size. Yes they fit but def snug, reviews said they'd stretch and they did slightly. (10 would have been too large, given the ballet flat style with little material to hold your foot in) Overall it's just a snug shoe esp bc there is elastic around top. But leather is flexible, footbed nicely cushioned, heel is 'barely there' in a good way. There is a puffed spot for arch support but doesn't do much. Def need breaking in. Top of heel back is firm, I did NOT get a blister but can see how others might. Can wear peds with them and not show which is nice. Suppose for a ballet flat the cushioning/support is the best there is, good Born quality as expected. As far as work shoes for long days as a chef/server they are OK. I'm content for now, next time I need new shoes I will keep looking for something even softer, not repurchasing these right away.

i ordered these shoes in wide..."wides" came to me, BUT the "W" was marked on the inside of the shoe with a black marker or pen, NO JOKE. i found this to be rather bizarre. they didn't feel wide AT ALL. i am super disappointed. oh well. i've never purchased a pair of shoes from zappos and had the width marked on the inside of the shoe with marker or pen. i will be returning these, as they do not fit in the width.

Cute shoe, perfect color (the light tan), but they were just a teeny bit too big. Ordering a half size down wouldn't have worked.

I bought this originally in black and have worn the the shoes to almost nothing. I was hoping that another color would fit as well as my black pair. The edging on the brown shoe is scratchy, very unlike the original black pair I have. I don't want to wait and see if it will get softer, so this is going back.

Really wanted these to work because they are very cute. Unfortunately, the arch support was minimal so I had to send them back.

Ordered this flat in navy size 9 wide. It's sort of a weathered look and would look cute with jeans. I was looking for a soft leather shoe that would stretch. This was soft but the front was too low and hit right where I have a bunion on the right foot. If the shoe came up higher it might have worked but had to return them. Also, it's hard to get used to a ballet flat ...not much support...I would never be able to walk in these all around a city on pavement. Thank you Zappos for your return policy!

Cute shoes, but absolutely no support or cushion. I expected Born to have a bit more of both. Like walking on the bare floor. Might be fine for some folks, just be aware before you order.

Beautiful shoe! The only problem for me is that the area cut for opening rubs terribly across the top of my foot. It's really too bad because the rest of the shoe is perfect.
