I usually wear a 7 - 7.5. 7 fit well. I was looking for a stone gray but this color was more bronze. Comfortable ballet flat.

You can't go wrong with these simple flats. Like all Borns, they are quality materials. Unlike most ballet flats, they actually have some padding and a bit of arch support. They don't gap much as your foot bends while walking, so are very attractive on the foot. The fabric trim around the edges adds to the comfort. I am a college instructor, on my feet constantly, and so need comfortable, attractive shoes that will go with business-casual clothing. I own three pairs of these - the tan, the red, and the pewter, which is actually an interesting color - a warm, soft silver-gray metallic that has a hint of bronze in it, so can go with virtually anything. I will say these took a little breaking in - I am a solid size 7, no feet issues, but I do have a somewhat high arch and narrow heels. These needed some wearing around the house to soften the snug toe box. Also, the back is a tad high on my heel, and until the shoes softened gave me heel blisters. Bandaids took care of this problem until the shoes had worn in a bit. That's why I gave them three stars for comfort.

I wanted to love these, but they are going back as they seem larger and wider than marked. I have other Born shoes in the same size (9.5) that fit perfectly, but these don't. I wish they did, as they are cute and seem like they would be very comfortable also if they fit.

These shoes are comfortable and a very good neutral color. Unfortunately, they are very loud when walking on a non-carpeted floor, so I will be returning.

I ordered three different black shoes, looking for the perfect one that would be comfortable since I am on my feet all-day as a teacher. Out of the three, this one was the winner, hands down! The shoe is made of soft leather, comfortable insole, slight arch molding, but nothing substantial and just all around easy to walk in. I loved this shoe so much, that I went right to my computer and processed the return of the other two shoes and bought the grey and tan of this same shoe! It is going to be a great school year, since I will be wearing my super comfy new school shoes. :)

I have really wide feet with high arches, which started to bother me a lot this past year. As some of you might know, when the feet start to go, you feel it in your back after a while, so when I started having extreme sciatic issues after being on my feet all day, I began looking for brands that cater to unofficial hobbits like myself. Born is my favorite at this point. I can wear these flats without wanting to saw myself off from the butt down come 5:30, and they do not make me look like a nurse on a construction job. These do not need to be broken in, but they do ride up a little higher on the ankle, which has (from time to time) caused chaffing. Usually when I have found myself dealing with steeper inclines than usual. My only real critique though is that I kind of wish the padding supported the ball area a little bit more.

The arch support in these are awesome for flats! Nice and cushy! Unfortunately the rounded toe is pretty long on the shoe and looked fairly strange on my foot. I certainly don't have wide feet, but the softness of the leather makes my little toe bone look like it's protruding from the shoe. Will have to send back, but will try others from Born if they have the same cushioning!

These shoes were comfortable out of the box except for a little rubbing on the toes of one foot, which has lessened. I bought the color Crodino, a tan-orange that works as a neutral color, as I had hoped.

Very cute and versatile shoe, but does show wear rather quickly. I would highly suggest spraying the leather with a water and dirt proof spray, especially if you are in a climate prone to humidity. I wouldn't necessarily consider them as "all day" shoes, but for a casual day of strolling or enjoying a day off, they work nicely. Order a half a size down since they do stretch over time. I am speaking from experience with other Born flats. Overall a cute shoe that I can wear throughout the warmer months and still be appropriate for a variety of events.

Have been wearing Born shoes for years but the last few years have been really disappointed. These shoes were at least a half size too small. Also what happened to Born having wide size options? I like for my feet to have some room in there. The shoe hunt continues...

Felt really comfy (soft & awesome arch support) but the style of these was a deal breaker. They're just not that appealing. The nose of the shoe is very long and the insole had this weird, ugly colorful design. Not that I would have to see that part of the shoe very often, but for this price I want to wear shoes that are not just comfortable but also make me feel good about wearing them. The search for the perfect flat continues!

These shoes are lovely -- perfect fit; great support; lovely, basic silhouette. But the "pewter" is very copper-colored; not at all as pictured. I'd love to keep them, but they don't go with my dress.

I have struggled my whole life with shoes and getting blisters on toes and heels...these are the only shoe I have ever put on, kept on, walked/stood for several hours and had no issues. The leather is so soft. The edges are not restricting. It's feels like wearing a sock...or a shoe you have owned forever. I do think they are overpriced...but will buy a second pair because of the comfort factor. There is some passing for arch, but my arch is high enough it doesn't help much...but better than all others I have looked at. I am a 6.5 and lately had to purchase lots of shoes in a 7...these were perfect in a 6.5. I have an average width foot...can't tolerate pressure in toe box and this shoe does not create any pressure there. Four stars only because of price...I could stomach 70-75 for them easier.

These shoes ran a little long, but were narrow across the toe bed (my feet tend to be wide) and they were wide in the heel. They were not particularly comfortable and they made the front of my foot look extraordinarily wide. I bought Patagonia Mahas at the same time, which were much more comfortable and stylish.

I have these in light blue, it's lighter than the photo and prettier I think. Like all Borns they are comfortable (though if I wear them all day the heel can feel a little uncomfortable, but no blisters), but not like all Borns they scuff and show wear so easily. I use leather balsam too and cannot get them back to "good as new" like with my other shoes from them. A tiny bit disappointing.

I just purchased the Julianne in Red. It is a much brighter, cherry red than depicted in the picture. I'm still deciding whether I will keep the shoes because they are good quality and comfortable, but I was looking for something darker.

I love these shoes. I tried them on over and over again, but the heal is strange. When walking it throws off my natural gate. Too, bad..the leather is soft and the overall shoe is nice looking.

I love this shoe style from Born, and own several. However, this particular color is much brighter than pictured online. The color is a Santa Claus candy red, not the dark red that is pictured. If you are hoping for an understated dark red or burgundy shoe, this is not the one.

I first bought a size 9 (my true size) and wore them around the house for a day or two to test them. They felt a little too big, so I returned them and got an 8.5. I'm glad I did because this shoe stretches a lot! The leather is nice and soft, and they are a cute basic flat. I wear them to work and do a decent amount of walking in them. I got blisters the first day I wore them, both on the outside of my pinkie toe and on my heels, but gave my feet a couple days rest and never got blisters again after that first day. I wear them all the time now, and they seem to keep stretching. Definitely recommend getting at least a half size smaller than normal. Overall I do like them, because they are cute, but I bought them for comfort as well, and they are only of average comfort.

Very comfortable, even after teaching all day. Cute with dress pants or jeans. A great neutral. I plan to get more in other colors. They did run a little big. I can wear anywhere from a 9 to a 10. I first tried the 9.5...it was comfortable, but I knew they would be too big once they stretched out. The 9 is perfect. They were a tad snug at first, but are fine now!

These shoes were exactly what I was looking for - something to wear to and from work and on the weekends. They are pretty lightweight and don't have much substance to them, but they are all leather and have a nice little arch support pad, that a lot of flats are missing. I have skinny heels so I had to put a pad in the toe of the shoe to keep them from slipping off my heel, but other than that they are great out of the box.

I typically wear between a 8½ and a 9. These flats were way too big in a 9 and at first I thought they were perfect in a 8½ but they have stretched during the first couple of times that I have worn them and are now slightly larger than I would like. However they are still more comfortable than most flats that I have tried and they do not slip off my heels.

These are by far the best flats I've ever bought. I had meetings for two very long days and had to walk a lot. I was so comfortable the whole time. My toes never curled at all, which is a problem i have with other flats. The padding is amazing. I think I'm going to have to buy a lot more pairs.

I looked for the Born brand specifically when I was searching for new flats, because of the subtle support in a Born pair of flip-flops I bought this summer. These flats did not disappoint-- the support doesn't add height or a heel (which is good), and I can wear these through the day without feeling sore in my arches. The sizing was true to size, I thought (I wear a 7.5 in flats). The color does get a little faded and gently-worn looking quickly. Definitely a more casual shoe but I like it and will buy similar styles from Born again.
