Toe cleavage- which I don't mind. Really hate the insole has stitching around the separate arch area that rubbed my foot. Stuck a cheap insole in there and it was fine. Good for standing for a while and stetched out a little. My wide foot fit well. Really cute lil black flat.

Overall fit was perfect however, the arches are low. Consequently there was a gap between the cushion and my foot that was somehow distracting.

These shoes are beautiful, I would have loved to keep them. But the leather is stiff and they were not comfortable for me.

I bought these shoes because I needed basic flats in a wide width. I purchased 3 pairs. black, gray, and tan (noche). I returned the tan...did not love the color. Overall, I like the look and fit of the shoe. It's versatile...from casual to dress casual. Wish they did not have the part that comes up at the back which can be uncomfortable.

I suffer from plantar fasciitis and usually need to wear a removable insert with my flat shoes. I did not have to do this when wearing these shoes. They were very comfortable when wearing, almost like slippers, and most importantly, my feet felt good after I removed the shoes - no foot pain or calf cramps. I do agree with the other reviewers that state the shoe does not wear well. I should have listened. I only wore the shoe twice and it is scuffed and looks like the color is rubbing off. For the price, I expected better. I will keep them and look for a shoe polish or something because they are very comfortable and look nice with jeans. I usually like the Born brand but they missed the mark with the navy/blue color.

This shoe was very tight despite getting it in my size. You will probably need to go at least a half size up. The shoe was cute, but I was disappointed in the material. It had some raised areas where it was pulled tight at the bottom of the shoe, and just generally looked like it wouldn't last very long.

A little lighter than I expected for Navy and I was going to send back...until I tried them on. so very comfortable. Great shoes. You can wear all day.

I ordered the Navy in 9 1/2 M. Not a true navy, more of a medium grayish-blue color. My toes came right to the end. The edge of top rubbed the top of my foot. Back in the box they go. I have had zero luck finding a navy ballet flat that fits as well as the Soft Walk Sonoma. I the Sonoma in black & tan. They are beautiful & comfortable without any break in required. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to make the Sonoma in navy. I tried the burgundy (they only had 1 left), and I thought I could use it in place of navy in a pinch. But the pair I received had a weird wrinkle in the toe & was discolored. I knew I would always notice it, and so I returned them. I guess I’ll go back to Soft Walk & see if they still have the silver in a 9 1/2. I think (hope) a silver ballet flat will look nice with my navy slacks. Thanks to Zappos I don’t have to settle for something that doesn’t fit fantastically!

Fit well... not much for arch support but it a flat

I love the style and color of this shoe. I was looking forward to wearing them with both pants and skirts. Unfortunately, even though Born wide widths usually fit me perfectly, this one was not wide enough, and the top of the shoe cut right across my big toe in the most uncomfortable spot. Sadly, I have to return these shoes.

I have owned two pairs of these shoes in the tan color. They are extremely comfortable with a decent amount of arch support for a ballet flat and have a very good quality sole, especially good if you walk around or stand a lot. My biggest complaint about them is that once they get a scuff or a mark, it is impossible to get out. I tried taking the first pair to a professional shoe repairman to have them cleaned off or polished, and he told me that the fabric could not be cleaned at all and to buy a new pair. It is a shame because for the money, they should last more than one season, but they just don't. If you live in a city and walk around on the sidewalk a lot, they will not look new for very long.

I bought these shoes in 8w usually if I buy wide I get 7.5 but during the summer my feet swell toward the end of the day so I didn’t. The shoes is comfortable however due to the elastic there is some break in that needs to be done. Shoe material is soft.

A lot was good about this shoe. Except the leather was scuffed up and had marks all over it like they had been worn. Not good. I was close to keeping them except for this issue. I wear a 91/2 D, otherwise I would recommend trying this shoe.

Didn't like the color--returned them

It actually felt a quarter size larger. I usually wear a 9 (9.5 in running shoes) and the 9 slips on my feet just a bit. The heel is a touch too wide. I wish they didn't slip but I am going to try some heel grips. I do not have excessively narrow heels. I wish they would add a little more meaningful padding in the sole for being on my feet for longer periods of time. For a few hours they are fine. I got the Panna Cotta color which is GOLD...not silver as some others have suggested. It is pretty though, the finish is unique and lovely. I will probably order the black. I have tried to find other flats that work well but can't. The Vionic slip too much on my heel and lack traction in the foot when barefoot b/c of the slippery suede interior. The Clarks aren't what they used to be as far as support and comfort and are rarely cute. The Cole Haan are not the same as when they contained Nike Air...now those were the most comfortable flats ever. I am a super picky buyer...need comfort and fit and style. Most shoes that look like they have padding actually only have cheap open cell foam which bottoms out with any weight on it and is very misleading. Would love for Born to consider the Nike air idea and replicate it somehow! That combined with the cuteness of this shoe would be perfect!!!

Cute ballet flat. The gray is a beautiful color & goes with anything. The shoe does run narrow and the heel is narrower than the toe, but that fits my foot perfectly so no complaints from me. There is some padding in the sole but not much support. Was a little disappointed since I think of Born as a comfort shoe. It’s not uncomfortable but it doesn’t provide enough support to be on your feet all day.

These have great soles--good traction and some cushioning. They're cute basics but comfortable. However I found they were too narrow in the toe box, really pinching my toes. I'm not sure they'd stretch enough to fit me comfortably. One shoe also already had a scuff on the toe, so I'm not sure how these would hold up with time.

Beautiful fit and construction, love the footbed inside for support and comfort. However the "tan" I ordered is really a very pale beige compared to the browner tan shown on the website. I'm still keeping it because I think I'll wear them a lot but I do think it's a paler less pretty color than I hoped.

I wanted to like this shoe, but where they hit my big toe hurt.

Well made and comfortable- the break in process has been painful on the back of my heel. The tall leather piece on the back of the shoe really digs in.

Very comfortable shoes. I have them for a while and they fit excellent. This gray color is bit dull, my son said like concrete color :) but they go nice with black or jeans. Good quality!

I have a very high arch. There is not enough arch support for my arch, but I can wear these when I want something a little less clunky looking. I am returning the tan shoe because I dislike the lack of depth in the color. I am keeping a gray pair. I don't particularly like the pale shade of gray, but I need shoes for work.

I was cynical I could find an everyday comfortable flat -this is it! As much support a flat can offer the shoe fits well it does not "smash" your foot like many ballet flats. I recommend

Love the look of these for summer business (casual) travel. But walking more than a mile in these each day has given me rubs on my toes and heels. Stick to wearing them for shorter jaunts. The blue is gorgeous too.
