Cute, simple, and comfy ballet flat. Like every pair of Borns I own, these are ready to wear with no breaking in needed. The leather is soft and pretty. I've received many compliments on these.

Just perfect! I followed the other reviewers suggestions and ordered a half a size smaller and it fit just right. The color is a very mellow tangerine. The leather is like butter, no break in time required. They are just the perfect summer shoe for me!

I have been searching for a pair of black flats for more than a month now and this is the fifth shoe in a row I've purchased from Zappos (I have returned all of the others because they were either hideous or painful to wear). I think we finally have a winner! Aesthetically, this shoe is not going to light your world on fire and there's nothing particularly interesting or super trendy about them but as a simple black flat, they are completely adequate and attractive enough. More importantly, they are COMFORTABLE. They don't eat your heels alive like so many other flats. There is a little bit of extra fabric on the heel of the shoe that prevents that razor-blade effect you see on so many other flats. This is HUGE. I can't overstate it enough. A flat that doesn't rip the flesh off your heel? I'm tempted to buy a pair in every color! Also, they actually have a bit of arch support, which again is almost unheard of in the ballet flat market. Very very pleased! As for sizing, I would agree with some of the other reviewers that these run very slightly large. I am usually between a 6 and a 6.5 and ordered the 6 in these and they fit perfectly. So if you are in doubt, order the smaller size.

These are awesome, I searched everywhere for a pair of really comfortable black flats. I probably tried on 100's of flats only to find that most of them hurt my feet, weren't flexible, were too "sticky" (leather and sweaty bare feet are not a good combination) or were just plain ugly. These are (almost) perfect! They are soft, flexible, aren't leather inside, but a soft fabric, molded to my feet instantly and I can literally walk all day in them and not need to rip them off my feet when I get home. My only complaint is that they don't have good "toe cleavage," which make flats look a little more sexy, but they are close enough that I finally ended my multiple month long search for a good pair of comfortable black flats...these are awesome.

I have been in search of the perfect flat since giving up heels after a surgery a couple of years ago. I have spent thousands on shoes that were way too flimsy, way too stiff or had no support. I have finally found the perfect flat! These are worth the price and are great quality -- the leather is soft but a nice weight, the insole provides just the right amount of cushion. I highly recommend them. And of course, Zappos is the best place to get 'em!

I purchased this shoe because I already have two pairs in Black that I am obsessed with. These are absolutely the most comfortable and stylish flats I have ever owned. Since I already have two pairs in black...I decided to try this color. It is more of a Purple color. I thought when I ordered them that they would be more on the pinkish side. They are still a very pretty color but I'm not sure if I will keep them...I will think about it for a few days before I make my decision. Overall a very nice looking shoe and comfortable.

I love this shoe. It is so comfortable right out of the box. I am a 7.5 and it fit true to size. I normally have to size down in Born. I am going to order in another color. Great shoe!

These are the best basic flats I've ever had. Of course, we are always on the lookout for a simple, classic, comfy, go-to flat and this is it! I'm ordering another pair in a metallic. Love.

These flats are really wonderful. It took a lot of searching to find a plain leather flat that didn't have a weird disc heel. They're extremely comfortable, with arch support, but the sizing is a little tricky. I usually wear an 8.5, and an 8 in other Born shoes, but after having a different pair of Born flats stretch out on me, I ordered a 7. So far so good!

I ordered the orangey color and love them! I have received a ton of compliments on them. They are really comfortable. They are true to size, for me, and have great support. I am a hairstylist and wore them for 8 hours and my feet were not tired and sore.

These shoes are so comfy! I just got them yesterday and have been walking around the house. Usually with super flat ballet flats my toes get squished and I feel too little support. These have plenty of room for my toes and there is an awesome little arch support cushion. I love the colorful lining and the simplicity of this shoe. No bows or embellishments, just a good everyday shoe.

I love these Born flats! They are so comfortable. No breaking in (blisters)! I purchased the orange and after wearing them just once, I purchased the black. I would love to see this shoe in red and the silver metallic Born has done before. I would buy both - they are that cute and comfortable. I normally wear a 7 1/2 in other brands but in a Born shoe, I need a size 7. I highly recommend this shoe!

These shoes are so comfortable, but the color in the picture doesn't match the shoe in real life. It is more of a turquoise than a sky blue.

I was hesitant to buy these at first as the smallest size is 6, and I usually wear a 5 1/2. But I'd heard this brand runs a bit small, so I tried them on in a store and was surprised to find that they fit! So, I'm going to guess these run a bit small. Super comfy right out of the box - I did a lot of walking and no problems whatsoever. They have a nice flexible sole, which I prefer to the stiffer soles that shoes with more arch support usually have. Will be back for more colors - I've got my eye on the orange and blue!

I just got these shoes in the gold. I love them. They are classy little flats, and I plan to order another color as well. They have a good fit right out of the box. I wear a 6.

I ordered an 8 wide, but it was still too short. I will try an 8 1/2 wide and see if the length is better. The width is fine, but the length seems a bit too short. Also, the rust shoe came with scuff marks on the toe. Later, I read reviews that said the shoe color comes off very easily. My original black shoe looked fine, but I need to return and try a longer size.

Nice shoe; one felt larger than the other!

I had hoped these would fit my WW feet; but they were a bit uncomfortable for me.

Shoe is very nice and I liked the soft buttery leather. Only problem, but unfortunately a big one, is how the back of the shoe fit. The point where It became high in the back was angled in too sharply and was cutting into my foot/ankle. There is harder material used for the back of the shoe. Sadly I'll be returning them. They do look nice and are made well. They just aren't hitting me in the right places.

Maybe I needed a half size bigger. These were uncomfortable on my heel. The exterior back of the shoe looked a little scuffed on both shoes as well.

Does not fit well. Over all I love Born flats they are sot soft.

Overall, this is a nice shoe. The leather is soft and soothing. My only complaint is that the sole is kinda thin, and it seemed that it affected my gait. It is otherwise a nice shoe and a fair price for the quality.

These were attractive and well made but the size seemed way off. They were way too short for my usual 7.5 which is usually a bit long to accommodate a hammertoe. The toe box also felt tight all around (and I am usually a narrow to medium) or else I would have tried a size up.

These shoes are a simple, attractive design. The leather is soft and they feel true to size. The only problem is the heel. It extends up in the back and is very stiff and uncomfortable. I am wearing them around the house with socks on to see if I can break the leather in. If I can they will be comfortable, but for now just the front of the shoe and the footbed are comfortable.

The Born Julianne shoe in black 9.5 wide fit very well. It did not slip in the heel as some wide shoes do on my foot. The only issue I had was the padding in the shoe bed. There is a leather patch at the heel that extends into the middle. The edge of the the patch just rubbed the bottom of my foot and it felt as there was something in the shoe. I had to return due to that reason.
