Great shoe...runs a little small. So, size up...especially if you have a wider foot.

Don't buy the navy unless you're looking for a bluish-gray shoe. The color doesn't match the picture here, but is more like what's shown here: http://www.bornshoes.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=9582. It's a cute and comfortable shoe, otherwise.

I love this shoe because it fits my foot appropriately and is comfortable. Many flats like this are narrow and cause some discomfort due to my wide feet. I bought this same shoe 2 years ago in light blue, (Guadalupe - no longer available) and it has been an amazing shoe. It was time to retire my old black flats so I decided to buy the Julianne again, but this time in black.

I'm a librarian, so I'm on my feet a lot during the day. I needed a shoe that would look nice with pants, skirts, and dresses while also providing support for my foot. These do both! They are very comfortable to wear and walk around in all day. They are also sleek and can be dressed up or down. They did rub the backs of my heels for a few days, until broken in. I would suggest putting bandaids on at first to avoid that. It only lasted about 4 days of 8+ hour wear before that went away. I've been buying cheap black flats all my life, and they've killed my feet and worn out quickly. These are super comfortable and will last a long, long time.

Great flats! I compared these side by side with a pair of Tieks. The Born flat has much better arch support and cushion, and are just as comfortable! I ordered them in every color!

Amazing and comfortable shoe!! This was my 5th pair of flats this summer to try out for comfort and I finally found this pair! Highly recommended.

Similar look to pricier frye brand flats. The leather is beautiful and the shoes are so comfortable.

I could not wear flats because of my plantar fasciitis, until I found these delightful shoes! I wear them on my commute to work and keep them on all day with nary any pain!

It is difficult finding a comfortable shoe that also works for dresses and doesn't look like an orthopedic shoe. Fit was true to size, moderate arch support. I wear a B (medium) width, no gaping on sides like Clarks ballerinas I tried. Not fancy but a good basic.

I purchased three pairs of these shoes after going on a hunt for ballet-type shoes that didn't make me feel like there was nothing between my foot and the pavement. After a few months of wearing them (and almost sending 1-2 pairs back, but then holding out), here are my thoughts on them... 1) I listed them as "Moderate arch support," but for ballet-style shoes, I'm going to stay that they really offer excellent arch support. The most arch support I've ever felt in a ballet shoe... which is why I never wore them before I found the Born Julianne. However: moderate because... they're still ballet shoes, so don't buy these expecting to float on air like you would if you were wearing something with a thicker sole. 2) If they are a little uncomfortable the first 3-4 times you wear them, keep trying. I was ready to send the "navy" (see point 3 for why that's in quotes) back after the first or second time I wore them. They rubbed on my foot and by the end of the day, I couldn't wait to get out of them. However, because of the Zappos 1-year guarantee, I decided to keep trying, and I'm really glad I did because they definitely stretched (being leather) and now conform to my foot and have become my "go to" shoes. 3) As to the color: I love the red and black, but the "navy" is not as dark as it looks on the website. I was expecting navy, but these are more of a mid-range blue - almost like a faded blue. I still wear them, and still love them, but my complaint stands that I wish they were true navy (closer to the color they appear to be on screen). It could also be that each pair is varied in color because of the leather dying process, so you might get a darker pair than I received. 4) If you're looking for flats that don't kill your feat, look cute (without really bringing attention to themselves), and come in a variety of neutral colors - I stand behind the Born Julianne. I have two more colors that I'm still considering as these have quickly become my favorite spring/summer/fall footwear...after I broke them in.

I have these in black and panna cotta. I usually find flats uncomfortable in my heels and toes because I have wide feet. These shoes are comfortable from the first wear age have a very little break-in period for me. I love them and literally wore the panna cotta ones almost everyday last summer. I'm hesitant to purchase any other flat because I don't know how they will compare in comfort. I want to buy more colors, they are that great.

Love this shoe (actually, both of them)! Often feel a 9 is too short on toe bed but I walk right out of 9 1/2. This pair fit like a glove, are soft, and so slipper comfortable. I am coming back for other colors, definitely!

These flats are beautiful and very, very comfortable. The first time I wore them was on a day I was flying across country with long walks in both airports. No pain, no blisters, I could walk miles in these flats the day I took them out of the box. Love then!.

These are great shoes. They are lightweight, have a comfortable fit, slight arch support. The taupe color is great with almost any color clothing.

Love these shoes! I have a hard time finding good flats because i always get blisters. I originally bought these on Piperlime on a whim, but love them! Totally worth it.

I ordered these shoes after a miserable experience standing on my feet at a trade show, and a pre-emotive search to be prepared for the next time. Bottom line: I love them and will probably order more colors. I also bought a pair of Tieks (not available through Zappos) at twice the price, expecting to love them. They are comfy, but no more than the Born shoes and they squeak. I will buy more Born flats for sure. Tieks, no.

I needed a new flat casual shoe. I've recently started having some problems with pain in my feet. I need a flat shoe with some support. While probably not the absolute best support out there, these are almost the perfect shoe for me. I purchased these in the gold (panna cotta) color. Love them. Super comfortable, great casual shoe. I think the gold is a perfect neutral color. I wear a 12 and they fit me perfect. They do not rub my feet/heels/toes. And, I can wear them all day and my feet do not hurt at the end of the day. Soooooo, since I liked them so much, I also bought a pair in black. The black fit me the same, except the piece on the back of the left heel is leaving a red mark on my skin. I needed the black pair to wear on an upcoming vacation. I'm not sure if I can break them in in time to take on my trip. I keep taking the shoe off and bending the back piece of the shoe to try and loosen it up. I hope it works. Here is the odd thing, which may explain the rubbing on my heel. The gold shoes arrived and sat completely flat on the ground. The black ones came kind of curved upward. Maybe the leather is just tight and needs to stretch? Idk. It was kind of strange. About a year and a half ago I purchased the Softwalk Napa flat. Wore them almost daily. I highly recommend those shoes. I wish I had bought another pair of those for my trip. I think in time, once these black shoes are broke in, I will be able to highly recommend the Born's as well.
