These are extremely comfortable, supportive, lightweight, responsive, and speedy. I run 30-40 miles per week and need some stability help, but am not heavy. These shoes are amazing. They feel fast and supportive. I have also been working on forefoot striking and while these provide some control the heel does not get in the way.

I love these running shoes! They are a little small, so I would suggest getting a 1/2 size larger than your normal shoe size.

This was my first time running in Mizuno. I was pleased with this shoe. Good cushioning and I loved the mesh. I run a minimum of 15 miles a week and these held up really well for several months. My only complaint is that when running up hills my heels would slide out of the shoe. But in Florida I didn't have to worry about that too much.

Good support and cushioning, enough room in the toe box. I always remove insoles and replace them with flat ones and my orthotics. I liked everything about these shoes but am sending them back because they're absolutely no good for winter running. The entire front is basically thin mesh over a framework, nothing to keep your feet warm or dry. The ventilation is good for indoor use or summer, but my toes would freeze and get wet during fall and winter running. It's unfortunate that neither photos nor description give this information.

LOVE the shoe, color is great, but I have Plantar F. and had read all the reviews and it worked good for some, but not for me. I teach 5 classes a week and personal train and am on my feet a lot. Now in search for my perfect shoe.

I did not find these shoes comfortable. They also have a very narrow toe-box. Am returning them.

After reviewing athletic shoes for a very long time, I ordered the Mizuno Wave Rider 16. The blue, pink, and black style super cool! My last pair of athletic shoes (for group exercise and gym machines) were Asics Gel Kayano 19. The Asics Gel Kayano 19 is by far, the better shoe in my opinion. Wave Rider 16 Pros: Very lightweight, breath-ability, fair arch support (I have high arches), very cool looking. Cons: Very little support, flat, minimal to fair cushioning (compared to Asics), upper feels really cheap. I ordered an 8 which was too small. I did return and am considering re-ordering half a size up. I am a sucker for cool athletic shoes and they are not terrible. I did give 4 starts overall. However, I am undoubtedly ordering another pair of the Asics Gel Kayano 19 due to superior support, cushioning, and quality. They're worth every penny!

A bit garish but that's not why I'm returning them. They are too small. Size 10 looks like a 91/2 to me.Bought them because Wendy stood in them for 11 hours in the Texas legislature so figured they must be comfortable.

These shoes were recommended for me by my running shop after I described my health history and foot pain. My immediate reaction was "Hell, no"...I walked in wanting cute shoes with pink or light blue and these shoes and their ugly loud color combos that included electric lime green and black did not fit in any way with my self perception. But I put them on and my foot pain disappeared immediately: Sold. My foot problems have been minimized over the course of a year, largely because of these shoes. And I wear them almost everywhere I go. The colors are better this year but they are still butt ugly. "Hello, Mizuno? Customer calling..." They're ugly, for sure. But my feet don't hurt. I'll take the ugly ones "to go."

I am a "collector" when it comes to sneakers and this was my first pair of the Mizuno brand. I am very happy with my purchase. The sneaker fits true to size and is very comfortable. I am having some trouble with pain in my feet and these seem to be a very sturdy sneaker so far.

I have always run in wave riders and this version lived up to is processors! I loved the support my feet got and I also loved how bright they were. They didn't have as much support as I remembered, but they still make running comfortable.

Initially I would have given this shoe 5/5 stars. But then after a few weeks after I put about 20 miles on the shoe in normal dry conditions, I noticed a change. All of a sudden the shoe is pushing up onto the bottom of my ankle bone. I get bruises if I run long enough in them. This has never happened to me before and the best explanation I can think of is that the insoles became flatter so my heel sank deeper into the shoe. I've put many more miles on many other running shoes and this has never been a problem. It's a shame because they started out as the perfect running shoe for someone looking for a supportive fit and I only really got a few weeks of running on them.

I'm not sure how to rate this shoe. I loved the prior versions (always a size 8) and am pretty brand loyal but I can't figure out the size in the 16 version. The 8s feel floppy bc they are big and the 7.5s feel a tiny snug. But others are saying true to size so maybe it's just me.

I've been wearing wave rider for years. These are definitely different than in the past. They don't seem to have the balanced support. These shoes look great. I love the colors but am wondering why they changed a great running shoe.

These are great looking shoes. But I am a huge fan of the Wave Creation series, and these Wave Riders are not up to par in the area of arch support. I will return and reorder the Wave Creation.

Very pretty but I was terribly disappointed in structure of shoe body/cloth. Very little support. Felt I was wearing a slipper.

I bought these 2 weeks ago after spending many years in Brooks. Had originally ordered the Brooks Glycerin 11 and did not like them in comparison to the Glycerin 10. So I thought I'd change with a new brand. While these are very cute, they run small and narrow. The size 9 was smaller than most 9's and I typically wear a B width but ordered a wide for these. I walk about 50 miles a week and sadly, the treads are already worn out. I showed my physical therapist (and Ironman Triathelete) and he was shocked! I'm not pleased with this as they were expensive! Needless to say I'm in search of a sneaker with better/longer tread life.

While I love the look of these shoes, I don't feel they are comfortable for running. They are stiff and do not have enough padding for me. I do wear them while doing a workout video, but went back to my Nike Pegasus for running. Would have returned them had they not gotten dirty. Disappointed considering how much I spent.

I ran a half marathon in these this past Sunday, and I'm still not 100% certain that I like them. They're ok, and are supportive, but they're not the best Mizuno's I've ever had. I'm an over supinator and these tend to push me out further than I should be. They also are a little hight right around my left ankle bone and it rubs on there. But not enough to make a blister. That being said, I still love Mizuno products and will continue to buy them!

Bought to replace the Wave Rider 15's that I have worn out, these are no where near as comfortable, cushy, or supportive. Uppers seem very flimsy, and the shoe overall has a "plasticy" feel to it. Going back.

I tried these shoes on at Sun and Ski and they fit perfectly, but they only had the ones that look like watermelons and the ones that look like purple unicorns. So I ordered the teal and magenta ones off here. Well, they feel so weird and nothing like the ones I tried on. These felt like the sole was in backwards and the arch support was on the outside of the foot. It felt so strange that I thought to check and make sure I didn't put the shoes on the wrong feet. I am so sad because I thought I had finally found some running shoes that suited my foot. I have really high arches and the ones in the store actually touched my arches, but these come nowhere near. I am extremely disappointed. I was hoping that it was a fluke and I just got pair of "lemons" but I am not going to order the same shoes again. So I guess it's back to the drawing board. Thank goodness for Zappos easy returns!

I really wanted to love these shoes. They were so lightweight and comfortable looking. But they were so tight that I had to look twice to see if they were really the size I ordered. Not only did my orthotics not fit, my feet did not even squeeze in. These were the first Wave shoes I tried and I am afraid that I am going back to the clunkier New Balance tried and true shoes.

Another highly rated shoe that fell flat to me. They were super flexible and fit like a glove, BUT the cushioning in the inside felt all wrong on my feet. It felt a bit lumpy and I couldn't imaging running with these on. Maybe I'm not used to cushioning like that, but to me, a shoe should feel natural and once they are on, I don't want to feel it probing my foot. They're a great looking shoe and have a nice bounce to them, but didn't work for me.

I was really looking forward to running in these sneakers after all the positive reviews but after running in them for a month, on and off, I've found that they are a bit on the small side and make my feet feel numb halfway through my run. I normally wear a size 7 shoe and purchased a 7.5 in this shoe and it was still too small! I'm so disappointed on the amount of money I spent on this shoe and how bad my feet feel running in them. I've never had a bad experience with shoes or sneakers from zappos, but this one was an utter disappointment. I now have to spend another $100 for another pair of sneakers since I have worn these and can't return them.

I have been a loyal Mizuno Wave Rider wearer for years. This new version is terrible. No arch support, no cushion. Overall the shoe feels shabby and cheaply made. This will probably be my last pair because, unfortunately, I am pretty sure these are the cause of my shin splint return.
