I love these gorgeous boots! I can't wear them without receiving compliments! The upper leather is soft, and the foundation/base is very robust.

The shoes felt very comfortable, but were too wide at the calf, with no way to tighten them.

These are beautiful boots that look and feel well-made but they were too baggy in the ankle and calf. I'm short--5'2"--so maybe that had something to do with it. They came to just under my knee, which is what I wanted, but I'd been hoping they'd fit snugly and they really didn't. They also seemed kinda weirdly narrow across my foot, but I suspect they'd stretch.

These boots were not made for my legs. The leather underneath the lacing in the back pooched out, making the side silhouette a combination of confusing and ridiculous.

These are beautiful boots,and very comfortable, but hey have rubber on the majority of the sole, which defeats one of my objectives, i.e. leather sole. Sadly have to send them back.

Just wasn't love. The leg part was too floppy for my liking.

This is a gorgeous boot. I really wish the description matched. I am 5'8 and wear a size 10 with narrow calves. The description says 12" for the shaft. It's nearly 16. What a shame and waste of time and money for Zappos and for me. This is so far off the mark it's laughable. Sadly I'm returning them. The boot itself is wonderful if you have wide calves, and it can even be much larger. It adjusts out from there....

I wanted to like this boot - - loved the lacing detail on the back. However...the distressing on the boot looked too fake for the price - - going back.

Beautiful boots. So stylish and gorgeous soft leather. They fit a little bigger than my size and they were hard to get around my leggings because the rawhide leather inside kept rubbing against it. There was just a slight pinch on the top of my foot. And the leather ties in the back broke into three pieces when I tried to tighten them.

I bought these in black right from Bed/Stu and mine are true black with just a little distress to them. I'm an 8 1/2 and that's what I ordered. I love them but one boot looks and feels much bigger than the other. Without socks they fit pretty good but with socks (trouser socks) my foot can't even move. I'm going to try and order an 8 and maybe have them stretched. Gorgeous boot!

Love these boots but they are much more narrow than I expected they would be and also not true to size. I am almost always an 8.5, ordered a 9 and they are still to snug in the toe box. Ordering a 9.5 tonight and praying they will fit!! The calf is perfect and roomie, the foot was just too snug. The leather is beautiful!

The sizing was not even close to accurate and was delivered in the wrong color. Would not even size up and purchase again because the lengths and widths were so vastly off of normal.

I really do like these shoes which was fortunate but the color looks absolutely NOTHING like the picture. I get that with any weathered or antiqued look like this there's bound to be some minor variations in color and the pattern of the wear and all that, but this is kind of ridiculous. That dark brown in the picture doesn't exist on the shoes I got instead in its place there's a crumbly and sparse black chipping away to reveal a light cardboardish color. Still pretty cool boots but they're hardly even black. I usually enjoy scuffing my boots but these are so worn in already I have to be careful otherwise literally all the black on them will be gone soon. If you're looking for a weathered pair of BLACK boots like I was then seriously do not get these. I kept them anyway because despite looking nothing like the color pictured on this website, they are still undeniably stylish and comfortable.

I am beyond upset with the color of the boots I received. I get it, they are supposed to be worn and rustic looking so of course the colors are going to vary a little bit or at least they should but the way my boots turned up was absolutely NOTHING like the picture shown. I decided to keep them because I like the style of them but now that I've worn them outside I regret it. I wanted tall black boots. I don't like shiny straight black so I loved these when I saw them online. The boots I received are cardboard colored. Very light tan with extremely sparse worn flecks of black. Not mostly black and worn to the dark redish brown showed in the picture. If you like the way this color looks just be warned you may end up with something completely different.
