Unbelievably stylish. These come in a rustic tan and a rustic tan white. The white has almost a white wash over it that doesn't really appeal to me. Tried 3 different pairs of these boots in this color and the taupe until I found the perfect pair. They are all a bit different/unique. This is my first pair of this brand and I will purchase more!

Favorite boots!!! I get compliments every time i wear them. I’ve got larger calves and have issues finding boots that fit, these are perfect!

Definitely tight on the calves. I’m almost always a 7.5 but it was too tight. Ordering an 8, so we will see. Otherwise the leather and style are amazing!

Love these boots!! I usually wear a 9 or a 9.5 and had to get these in a 10 because the calves are so skinny. The 9.5 wouldn’t fit over my skinny jeans, and I don’t have big legs by any means. I get compliments on them all of the time! However, they are a bit slouchy around the ankle. I don’t know if it’s because I ordered up a half size, but there was NO WAY the 9.5 fit over my jeans. Worth the money!

These boots are absolutely beautiful. I read a lot of review prior to purchase due to the sizing. I wear a true 9 and tend to have a slightly wider foot. The 9's I ordered are too narrow and small. I am going to return for a 10.

These boots are amazing! I ordered the lux tan and they arrived exactly as pictured. The smell of leather was exuding from the box before I even opened it. They are soft and supple, they do run a little large. I ordered the size 8, but I had planned to wear with double socks anyway... The calves are slim so if you have very athletic legs you might reconsider. They are beautiful and well represented by zappos. They are comfortable and I've received several compliments on them. I highly recommend the BedStu Manchester II!!

I read all of the comments before ordering these boots. I was originally looking for a feminine pair of black boots. After all the rave reviews, I bought these boots. They are not as feminine as I was looking for and they are not black. However, I absolutely love them. They are high, right up to the knee. The strings at the top are tight, even with very small calves. If you have larger calves, maybe these are not for you. They are sexy, yet rugged. They run true to size. The leather definitely stretches, and has a true leather aroma. Just something to get used to.

I absolutely love these boots! I usually order Frye, and I buy a lot of boots! I took a chance on these and am so glad that I did! Gorgeous leather and amazing fit, also I wore them all day and they are comfortable. I ordered half a size down (per other reviews) and they fit perfectly. I usually wear a size 8½ in boots, and with socks the 8 fits great. I am 5'7" and have long legs. These are amazing.

Love 'em. The bottom of the boot is a little chunky not a slim ankle line, which concerned me at first but I think it's actually flattering. Definitely makes it more rock n roll. And I've gotten nothing but compliments, total strangers walking up trying to guess who makes them.

I am a size 12 jeans, with muscular 17" calves (skater) I tried these and they're a no go. I couldn't get them up, even when the laces were open all the way. I'm so sad, they are gorgeous!! Will keep searching for the tall boot that fits my man calves. :-)

I bought both colors last winter but did not get to wear them until now because I was having some foot problems and living in Birkenstocks. Normally I wear an 8 in boots or tennis shoes and a 7½ in dress shoes. The 8 was too big in these boots and I ended up with a 7½ in both colors. The foot bed is narrow which is perfect for me but in one of the boots I ordered, the foot bed was weird. The toe was really narrow and the heel wide and when I walked not only was my heel slipping but the boot made a really obnoxious clomping sound when I walked because of the fit. I sent that pair back and ordered the same color and size and the replacement boot was fine. I just love these boots. It is so difficult to find narrow boots that are stylish.

I love these boots! They are just what I was looking for; tall (they hit me just under my knees), snug on my calves and they fit like soft leather gloves. The leather is wonderfully soft. I wear a 7 normally, so I ordered a 6 based upon the other reviews. They fit fine without socks but I've got 6.5's on the way to see if they are a better fit. I think these might stretch but if rather not take a chance.

Love, love, LOVE! I have very narrow ankles and calves and have always found it difficult to pull off the boots and leggings look. I have been searching for a narrow shafted boot that looks good for - well it seems like my whole life. This is it! Because of the little lacing in the back, I can wear skinny jeans, leggings, even a sun dress with these boots. Also, they are comfortable (have worn them all day with no difficulties). They are not particularly narrow in the foot. If you have regular to wide calves, the laces can be adjusted so I would say there's no reason to be scared off by the narrow. Overall I love these boots and have received compliments every time I have worn them. I would definitely recommend them!

I've been wearing these boots for a few weeks now and LOVE them - constant compliments from perfect strangers. I'm tall and lean (5'10") and these come nearly up to my knees. I do feel they run a tad large - I am just barely over a size 10 (but 10.5 is always too big). I ordered a 10 and need to wear thicker socks to keep my foot from moving around. My only wish is that they were a little stiffer around the ankle as they tend to slouch a bit. While stylistically this looks intentional and bohemian, I like my boots to stand tall. Still, I'm very happy with them and hope to get loads of wear out of them!

Full disclosure: I ordered these exact boots from another site about a year ago. (they were not on Zappos at the time otherwise I would have ordered them here-love you Zappos!;) Unfortunately they were ridiculously too big, and the leather and distressing was totally different on each boot to the point that they didn't even look like a matching set, so back they went. Well I decided to try again and this time it's a win. I am between an 8 and and 8.5, I decided to get the 7.5 and they fit perfectly. I am 5'7 and they hit just under my knee. I have skinny calves and they are snug and don't slouch down unless I want them to. I got the Rustic Tan color-they are very distressed and I have a feeling they might vary from pair to pair, which would explain why I got a weird batch last time. I was worried they might feel too beat up but I think they are beautiful. Mine look exactly like the pictures. I love them this time around.

Very comfy, stylish boots. The tall shaft is nice for tall women like me (5'8"). I ended up dying the blackish color boots to solid black and so far that has worked great.

So, I've had these boots for 2 years now and they are still my favorite! I bought the black and one year later, I bought the tan. After two years of wear the black ones have held up like crazy. The heel caps need to be replaced and I probably need to get some dark polish around the top near the laces as the black color has worn off a little (not enough to bother me) through handling. That is to be expected. Especially since I wear these or the tan ones or my Frye boots almost every day of the fall, winter and well into spring. They look great with skirts, dresses and jeans. The tan ones have shown no wear at all after a year. As far as size goes I would suggest you either go to the store to try them on or order your size and one size up to compare. I bought my normal size 7.5. I would disagree with the reviewers that say it runs big. In my case, both pairs are comfortable with a thin pair of socks. I have worn them with thicker socks when it was very cold making them a little snug but not uncomfortably so. These are very comfortable boots as long as you don't have foot issues. I walk in them a lot. I am 5'4", 125 lbs, and these come to just under my knees and fit my calves with the laces tightly closed. One reviewer stated that the bulge under the laces bothered her and when I saw these online I was worried it would bother me too. In fact, I put off buying them because of it. Then one day I was bored shopping and saw these. I had to try them on and once I did there was no going back! The bulge doesn't bother me at all and I am very picky about fit. Every single time I wear these I get compliments. Women (and men) stare at them in public. Ladies, you know that this is the ultimate compliment!! I also have the Arcane boot from Bed Stu. I haven't owned them long enough to comment on comfort or wear, yet but I would say that Bed Stu is doing something very right. Their shoes and boots look, smell, feel and wear like a much more expensive product. And I personally love the distressed, handmade look of them. I only worry that I will never find a boot I love as much and I'll be wearing these when I'm 85. If you are thinking about it, go ahead and get them. You won't regret it!

Move over, Frye! These boots are so gorgeous! The leather is unbelievably soft! Way softer than any Frye boots I have ever seen, and Frye was the cream of the crop! This brand is still bench made in Mexico, and Frye has gone to China for some of their products, which is really sad. As another reviewer said, I was looking at the Frye Shirley Artisan Tall. I loved those boots as well, but the leather must have been treated with something because they were stiff and a little stinky. These Bed Stu boots will blow you away with their wonderful leather smell and soft, buttery feel. I've never seen a more luxurious pair of tough boots! Unfortunately for me they do run about a half size too big (maybe even a full size) and I am set on the tan color, so I'll have to wait until my size is back in stock. And the somewhat cheaper than Frye price can't be beat! I love Zappos, thank you for carrying such quality products!

These boots are really unique and cool!! For me, sizing down a half size in good quality, well made boots works. I'm usually a solid size 9 in most shoes, got these in a 8.5, and they fit perfectly. The leather is super soft, and thin not stiff at all in the shaft. They are handmade so distress and color vary with each pair, making them unique, even different variations between the left and right boot, keep that in mind, I love it personally! I consider myself to have average size calfs, maybe 13 in, not skinny and not very muscular, and these are snug to my calves, so if you have larger calves these may be too tight for you. I've been wearing with leggings, hope they're not too tight with skinny jeans. Don't think you could wear under jeans because of the lacing in the back. I love em, look cool and love the smell of leather.

These are gorgeous boots! I love them! I wish they came with a little more height in the heel, but these are gorgeous show stopper boots!

I absolutely love these boots. I am 5'11" and never had boots tall and slim enough until now. It seems like they can scrunch down if needed, though. Quality and style are great but after walking around a lot all day I had sore feet so I will probably use insoles.

I have to start off by saying these boots are amazing. They look great with dresses & leggings/skinny jeans. The leather is on the shaft is soft and you can adjust the width of the shaft slightly by loosening or tightening the draw string on the back of the boot. The draw string also adds a nice embellishment to the back of the boot. There are some limitations as too how much you can adjust the circumference of the shaft. In my opinion the shaft is on the smaller side. That's where you may run into some problems with choosing the right size. The sole part or bottom part of the boot runs large. I would say about a half size unless you intend to wear them with the thickest socks you can find. However if you decide to size down a full size you may run into a problem with the shaft being too small/tight. I would only recommend sizing down half a size if you are in-between sizes. If you typically have problems getting boots to fit your calves, do not size down!

These boots are gorgeous. They do run true to size if not half a size larger. I ordered a size up, and they are way too big so I'm returning for my normal size as I know they will fit perfectly.
