Beautiful boots. Absolutely top notch quality. I felt the width was a tad small. I had to send them back. :(

I read the reviews before purchasing, and with their suggestions decided to order a 8.5 This size arrived, the boot is gorgeous, but definitely didn't fit! I got the boot on and it was awfully snug. Ordering a replacement, sadly they do not have the 9 so i'll see how the 9.5 goes... I hope well, I love this boot!!

I bought these for my daughter. She LOVED the style. However the fit was a struggle. The length was fine, the width was narrow. We ended up ordering multiple pairs in the same size until she found one that was comfortable. Still some breaking in to do, but she loves them. Some boots were tighter than others in different locations. That’s why we tried multiples.

These boots are luxurious unfortunately the length of the shaft is way too long. Pretty much covered my knee.

Ordered these in the tan color in my usual 8.5, even though some of the reviews said they ran large. I'm glad I stuck with my regular size, as the size itself was fine; the left boot fit like a dream right out of the box, but the right boot felt a bit snug (narrow) in the foot. I debated sending them back, but I really liked the look of them, so I opted to try a shoe stretcher and it is now breaking in nicely; I think the more I wear them the better they will get. As other reviewers have noted, the shafts on these boots are definitely pretty slim; I have athletic calves (a hair shy of 15 inches), and if my calves were any larger, these would probably be a no-go. But as it is, they fit just right with skinny jeans and leggings. The leather on the shaft is butter-soft and smells wonderful - my whole apartment smelled like leather when I pulled them out of the box. Overall I'm very happy with them.

I followed the advice To order a half size down and it was a mistake. Way too tight. In fact, I would guess a half size up might have been about right. I decided to just return these because the Upper was snug and very thin soft leather, which I worried about stretching too quickly and eventually sagging. Cool to look at though!

I'm normally a 9 and ordered a half size down (8.5) because of all the reviews. Not a good idea! DO NOT order down. I'm not even sure if a half size up will fit properly. Was also snug on my calfs, so I'm just returning them full stop. The leather was nice and soft, and I think I'd like them if they fit better.

I had to send back the first pair I ordered. I had followed the reviews that said to order 1/2 size smaller, as the boots ran large. I'm a true size 8M. I've never had to order off sizes. I originally ordered a 7.5M and it was extremely small - so the review advice was not good for me. Plus the markings on the boots were ugly. Yes, ugly. The distressing did not look anything like the pictures. It made the boot weathering look fake. But I took a chance and exchanged them for my correct size (true 8M). I was very pleased with my replacement. These are hand made, distressed boots. That is the key. No two are going to be alike. Some with will be beautiful (like my second pair) and some not so much. They do run a bit snug on the width - I've had to wear a thin sock for now but I fully expect them to mold to my feet and stretch with wear - as any quality leather good will. I wasn't thrilled about the back lacing until I tied up the boot and saw how it custom fit to my leg and stayed in place with no scrunching all evening! No pirate looks here. It's a simple, classic distressed leather boot that I will be able to wear for many years and still be fashionable ( and comfortable). Definitely worth it.

I love the boots! They are very versatile and fashionable. They can be worn at any time. My only concern with the boot is putting them on. Because they are leather with no lining, it can be difficult to get your boot on.

Love these boots! However, I bought two pairs, different colors, of the same size. One pair fits great. The other is WAY too small? No way its a size 7. So I am returning for another size 7? So Weird.

Gorgeous boots - got them in rustic tan

These are lovely boots, close to Frye quality. However, I'm returning them because the weathered leather is just a tad too weathered for what I want to wear them for. I also ordered a 10 when I usually wear an 11, based on comments about them running large, and the 10s are a really quick fit, a bit snug with my arch orthotics. If I had a million dollars to spend on shoes, I'd keep 'em.

Great looking boot but feels one full size too big. There is a "bulk" in the back of the calf before the laces start, that creates a weird indentation. Beautiful distressed looking leather, super soft. The sole feels cushiony. The boot has a delicious smell of leather.

Great boot! I am also a Frye girl and when I received my Bed Stu Manchester II boots from UPS I was very pleased. I also took advice from some of the other buyers that they tend to run big. I am a size 10 and ordered a size 9 which fit perfect. They run a little narrow, but leather stretches with time so I am not too concerned. They have their own unique look and style which I love and the quality is very good. I am also 5' 11" so they really compliment my long legs. I have not taken them for a test walk yet, and hope they will be comfortable enough to wear an entire afternoon or even day....we'll see. I also must say that the Zappos rep I spoke with by phone was very helpful and granted me a coupon from a past coupon I had deleted from my inbox by mistake. She went the extra mile to ensure the fullest customer satisfaction. Thank you Zappos!

Absolutely gorgeous boots. Beautiful leather. Soft and supple. Just too wide in the calf for me.They did look cute slouched, but you have to have some calf to fill the space. Sadly going back so that I can find a narrow calf circumference.

These are nice, but I maybe was expecting better. The 9's are my usual size for Frye boots. And they fit fine. The leather on the shaft is pretty thin and mottled color is just okay. I think it looks better on the website and much more brown than the website. I might be spoiled by the Frye line. Not bad if you want to save on cute boots. This pair only got one boot out of the box, it's sadly going back.

A comfortable, interesting boot. Love the leather heel and sole. Unfortunately, must return because they look funny on. The soft leather shaft is oddly shaped in back. And it falls down and bunches up unattractively above my ankles.
