I have been searching for a knee high boot for a while. This one is perfect. The shaft height is perfect and it is snug but not tight. The leather is soft and it is well made. I did not give comfort a 5 star is due to the odd shaping of the foot bed that takes a little to get use to. Still I would recommend the boot.

Great looking boots. They were a bit tight when first trying on but others have said once worn for a short time the leather stretches. It was no more than an hour and the tight feeling on the width of the boots then felt very comfortable.

Nice color boot, but I was surprised to find that this boot was very narrow and I have a narrow foot. Unless I can stretch the foot of the boot, they'll have to be returned.

This is a gorgeous boot! I was concerned it might be too “tall” for me as I am only 4’11” but the height of the boot, if you want to call it that is perfect. And it makes me feel like my legs are longer! My only pause in not calling it perfect is the width. I am borderline wide, just depends on the style, but there wasn’t a 5 1/2 wide in stock so I went with the medium and I do wish I’d held out for the wide. I am a little bit cramped but they are beautiful leather and I think as I wear them I’ll have just enough gentle stretch to do the trick. If not, well I’m going to wear them anyway! They’re gorgeous!

This boots are great in many ways! They are extremely comfortable with no break in time. The style is so cute. Perfect with dresses and jeans. This is my second pair. After buying the first black pair, I wanted the brown. I get so many compliments on them. A friend liked them so much that she bought a pair also. Of course with Zappos, I ordered them Saturday and received them Monday by 9:00am! Thank you Zappos!!

These boots are wonderful. This is my second pair. I have owned the other pair in black for a few years and they still look and feel great. This pair is a dark chocolate brown. Just what I was looking for. The boot does run a bit small and narrow but I ordered them 1/2 size up and wide calf.

Love these boots! I was a bit worried because I ordered Medium, and I think I have a wide foot. Rheumatoid arthritis issues. I didn’t order Wide because I have a small calf. They are perfect! The foot width is just right. The leather is also soft enough to adjust with wear. I wore them in the house for a few hours with no issue. So happy!

Well, as we all know, ZAPPOS is just THE BEST !! They make shopping very easy. These are my first pair of high boots. The color is just as depicted in the write-up. I wasn't confident I wasn't going to need the wide calf, so I ordered those, but they were gaping at the top. Easy return with Zappos. The fit in the foot isn't too wide, nor too narrow. They were comfortable right away.

Like the look and leather. As some others have written, the material is a little rough around the ankle so I definitely will not be wearing these boots without thick socks, for now. Hopefully this will improve one the boots are more broken in.

I had to return another pair of boots because they were too narrow and don't come in wide. But these are just right! The're a tiny bit tight, but each time i wear them, the lovely soft leather stretches a little, and they are getting very comfortable. I'm glad i bought them!

I was looking for a black boot with very little embellishments. Tried a bandolino but the calf was way too big. The Sam Edelman is perfect. No huge gaps. Works well with tights or over skinny jeans.

Am so happy with this boot! Love the color. I found the same boot in black and a lighter shade of brown at the mall so I was excited that Zappos had so many other color choices. True to size (I ordered 7.5). At first, they felt a little tight on the middle of my foot so I probably won't be able to wear really thick socks with them. The leather is really soft. Did not require a painful break-in period!

My favorite boots I absolutely love them!! I wish I could return all the other boots I purchased and just purchase these in every color. I purchased the grey ones and I am seriously contemplating buying more!

I am so excited that these boots fit both in the foot and the calf! I noticed some other reviewers said the medium shoe bottom was too narrow, but I have long fairly skinny feet so I felt like they should work for me, and they do. They fit very well and I have plenty of toe room. I normally wear a 10M (10N is hard to find) and put an insole in my shoes to tighten them up a bit. With these boots I don't need the insole and the length is perfect. But best of all, the calf is perfect! They fit very nicely and still leave room for leggings or skinny jeans. Also, this leather is beautiful! I don't understand the complaints in some reviews. These boots are well constructed and very good quality in my opinion. The other thing I love about these is the zipper in the back. It's great! It makes it easy to put the boots on and gives a sleek look. One more thing.....No elastic inserts!! Yay! I hate those! So many boots I looked at online and in stores had some type of insert and some had the entire back of the shaft in a stretchy material - that's just not for me. I love that every inch of these boots is leather. Thanks Zappos! I'm very happy with my beautiful new boots! :)

First pair of tall boots and was reluctant but they were so comfortable. I love the gray color, different and goes with jeans, black, many colors. Well made. Love the long back zipper because makes taking off so much easier if you are alone! I ordered regular size and don’t plan to wear socks, just hose or tights. Still comfortable at calf with jeans. My legs are average. Great fit.

These boots fit well; look great. I have the gray pair and they go with almost everything. My only issue is that they have the potential to stretch in the calf; I have really skinny legs and calves so I don't like the 'potential' sloppy fit; but so far, so good.
