These are the only shoes that fit my feet. I am a super wide foot, neutral runner. I've worn NB, tried Nike, even other Asics designed for neutral runners. Maybe they work for skinny feet, but the 4E wasn't wide enough for me in anything but these. These 1000s are now remarkably inexpensive, and essentially just as comfortable as my old 2060s. If you were really attached to the memory foam padding in the heel counter, then that's the only reason I could think of to upgrade to the 2000s. But then the 2000s don't come in all black - my fav. SO, for somewhat subjective reasons, I really like these shoes.

I am always on the lookout for comfortable shoes. The true test is how I feel after a full day on my feet. These are the most comfortable shoes that I own right now. My feet are slightly wide for many types of shoes, but I ordered my normal 9½D size and these fit snugly and perfectly. I normally wear orthotics, but in these I only added very mild arch support. I definitely would recommend these shoes and I like the aggressive colors and styling as well.

I love these shoes. I ran the Mid-South Championship half marathon in them. I ran 1:59.28. They are great shoes.

Great shoe, light weight. I'm a loyal Asics person. I like the fact that I can easily get a great running shoe in the width (really wide) that fits me, and I am not paying for advertising.

I have a mild case of plantar fasciitis and I need proper support for walking my dogs five to six miles a day on pavement. These shoes fit that need. They are comfortable and the support is noticeable. The fit is true. The shoes are fairly light and they have a nice look to them. I have had no pain since I've been wearing these and it's been six weeks and nearly 200 miles.

These are good fitting and comfortable shoes. I ordered 11D which is my normal size. I have been trying lots of pairs, thank you Zappos. I would say that I have "wide standard" feet - many shoes these days feel too narrow/low shoe volume, especially the forefoot/toes area, but wide 2E is too wide. I used to only buy New Balance but now those have cramped toebox/forefoot areas too. I like the fit of the GT-1000 better than the GT-2000. The forefoot has some more room, the heel/toe drop is (I am guessing) like the 8mm Saucony shoes and feels stable. However, the Saucony Ride 6 and Triumph 10 are too soft/squishy for me. This GT-1000 has enough shoe space for my size 11 D feet, and I wear normal 80 percent cotton socks. The sole flex is good, lightness, it feels like my feet are down lower to the ground in the shoe and the shoe wraps well around the foot. Also the sole feels cushioned but not mushy. I do not need the hard rubber arch area for over pronating as I seem just neutral - but it is not that bad feeling, it just feels solid on your feet. It is a good feeling shoe overall, I like the fit and feel better than the GT-2000, and the cost is less. Thank you again, Zappos.

These are great work shoes for my son who wears a small size 17. He needed all black shoes that were comfortable and long enough. I am just thankful that Zappos has such a selection of shoes in his size and excellent customer service. I ordered on Friday got them Monday and I can say that my son will be a lifetime customer. Again thanks to Zappos for having shoes in my son's size.

A great shoe. Very comfortable right out of the box. Length and width were true to the order. Light weight with the mesh but you still feel very supported while wearing the shoe. Highly recommend for running, walking shoe.

I thought spending this much on a pair of shoes would mean they would last longer than 6 weeks. The sole of the shoe has different angular panels and one of them has already started to peel off.

Very comfortable shoes! I had been buying Nike for walking/running and thought I would give Asics a try. Needless to say I am extremely happy with these shoes! True to size!

WOW! I ordered these on Saturday and got them Monday morning. A HUGE improvement from the 2 weeks it took last time I placed an order a couple of years ago. These GT-1000 feel AWESOME! Just like my old GEL-1160 but with the great support from a "new" pair. I still have to wear my orthotics because I have such a high arch and prone to plantar fasciitis but they fit in the shoe perfectly. Love the all black too. I hope Asics never discontinue this style. This is my 3rd pair - I will never buy any other shoe! Thank you Zappos for having it and with such a great price!

I use the shoes to jog on a treadmill for about 1/2 hour at a time. For that purpose, I can say that they're great -- comfortable, reasonably priced, and they look good. I'm looking to double my time on the treadmill and am confident that I'll be able to do so wearing this sneaker. I have no plans on jogging outdoors, either with this shoe or another.

The product came very quickly as always and could not be happier with the product or the Zappos service.

Only ASICS running shoes have the best wide comfort for those needing 4E shoes. Very comfortable and consistent performance.

I have wide feet, so the 4E is a must and fits perfectly. Great ventilation. Only complaint would be the structural part of the heel bends inward after a few months of putting them on slip-on style, but that's on me for being lazy.

The GT-1000 maximizes performance comfort through excellent cushioning and a well-proportioned shoe. It also comes in great colors! I use this shoe every weather-permitting day, nearly, and it holds up form wise under the duress of hard use. For those of us whose feet do not taper at the top, the GT-1000 allows for room, and is fine even for those who have skinny feet. I really enjoy these shoes, almost as much as their predecessor, the 64, and hope Asics only continues improving the already great design! My only complaint is that the arch is a couple of millimeters forward of a comfortable location, but that might be my feet.

I buy Asics a lot because the fit my foot well. These are no different. I like them a lot, very comfy, light, and supportive. I will probably buy another pair of these to store for when my current pair wear out. I am only writing this review because I got a follow up email from Zappos asking me to, I'm not typically the review type. But honestly I really like these shoes. As a side not - Zappos is the best company I have found for online shopping. Super fast delivery, no shipping either way, and no hassle returns. Love Zappos.

This is my second pair of Asics. I have bunions so finding comfortable shoes is very important. I walk 10,000 steps each day in total comfort with my Asics. They are the best walking shoes for both me and my husband.

Most comfortable shoe I have ever bought! I work in retail, so I am on my feet constantly for 8 to 10 hours a day. Walking and standing on concrete floors all day can play havoc with your feet. I am 6'2'' 285 pounds so the extra cushioning and support is much welcomed. I highly recommend these for people whose job requires a lot of walking or standing.

Great shoes, I have had no problems with them. I had ordered some other shoes through Zappos that were a bit smaller that I had anticipated and so I ended up going with these instead.

Quality running shoe, good price. Minimal break in time. I am a 13 wide, fit was good out of the box. Wide where I need it, in the toe box. Shoe still fits well across top of foot.

These are good looking shoes. They are not the lightest shoes on the block, but for decent cushioning, that is a trade-off. I prefer Asics for my running shoes, and so far prefer these to my previous Gel Kahanas, which were too bulky.

I purchased these Asics for a friend. They did not fit him. I was preparing to return them and my neighbor saw them and wanted them. He LOVES them. I had already printed the return label. Called Zappos and got instant, easy to work with assistance. I just ordered a pair of Merrells for my husband.
