I LOVE that these are a narrower fit than the older models. My size 13 is usually shaped like a shoe box. These cinch up beautifully, feel secure, and the ankle grip is just a bonus. Will stick with these shoes!

My husband loves his shoes, wears them to work because he has to wear black shoes, and there's not much that's really comfortable. these are!

Asics makes great shoes, and Zappos makes it very convenient to get the style and size you need without schlepping around town.

I loved these shoes, they feel great. I'm a 12.5 4E and I ordered a 12.5 4E and they fit perfectly. I have had them for 4 months now. I have done everything in them from running to working. Nothing but comfort the entire time.

As expected from my purchase of GT-2170s last year, the Asics company has narrowed their shoes. While I used to fit comfortably in a D (medium) width shoe, I now have to purchase a EE to even fit snugly in the shoe. Otherwise a good, comfortable, stable shoe.

These are great. a few quibbles: compared to my original 2160s, these have a little less anti pronation support on the inner arch from the so called duo max. I also feel that they might have a tad less support under the forefoot, but they are great in general. I put a pair of lock laces on them and they are good to go. My last comment has to do with width. Maybe it is just me, but Asics seem to run narrow and always have been. I had to get a 4E width for these, but I knew to do this from my prior pair and the new ones fit just fine like the old ones. I do not usually require a wide width in most of my shoes.

First let me say thank you to Zappos as I've been trying on many pairs and returning them in recent times. I really like this GT-2000 shoe thus far. I have worn New Balance shoes in prior years, but the recent crop of NB (and Nike, and standard Asics, and Saucony, etc., etc.) seem to feel too small overall - too little volume in the shoe, and the widest part of my forefoot is squashed. Actually the NB Minimus shoes fit the best, they have the NL-1 shoe last/mold. I just wear "normal" 80% cotton socks you could buy at Target, etc. I usually have just worn size 11 D, nothing spectacular. Well finally after trying these shoes I've found a good fit. I am a neutral walker/occasional interval runner. I work out with weights and KB's barefoot, and Kung Fu class with wrestling shoes, and wear sandals in the summertime. For the GT-2000 the cushioning is good, lightweight, the toebox has more room than others, the heel to midfoot drop is low, they flex well. I walked and ran on the treadmill to test them and they feel very good. The feel and fit of the Asics Gel-Lyte 33 v2 (the new one) is also good and flexes well. So I recommend trying these GT-2000 shoes. After trying several Asics shoes that cost > $100, the more expensive ones seem to give me a better fit and wider toebox versus the cheaper ones, darn it.

We were not able to find size 12 1/2 in any of our stores, so went to Zappos. No problem! Not only received them, but within the three day time requested and in perfect condition. Thank you Zappos.

I got this shoe, it's really nice looking. It's comfortable. But I got it in Size 4E due to wide forefeet. This shoe is def. really narrow for a 4E. If you have wide feet especially up front, I would not recommend this. It's more like a Size 2E or D.

Light, comfortable. Not a runner but, based on other reviews, figured I didn't need to be to get good wear from these at gym and just walking around town. I needed 4E and my only disappointment - which is Asics' fault not Zappos' - is the very limited color combo choices for that width. These are still fairly new, so it remains to be seen how they hold up.

Great shoe. Extremely comfortable from day 1. No break-in period required. I walked 4.5 miles the first day I put them on. Perfect balance of cushion and support. When this pair wears out, I imagine replacing them with an identical one.

These are an excellent choice for hard-to-fit people in need of a good supportive shoe. Asics Gel have been highly rated by Consumer Reports Magazine for a long time and I can see why. I have large volume gorilla shaped feet that are 11" by 4 1/2" and size 12.5 Wide fit perfectly. I'll be back.

I absolutely love these shoes. I tried a bunch of different New Balance and ASICS models and decided on this pair and one other. I primarily use these for indoor high intensity cross training like P90X activities.

This has been the most comfortable athletic shoe I have EVER had. The 4E is perfect for my foot. I have been wearing New Balance for years until I found the Asics 4E.

I've only run with these shoes a few times so far, and I'm not sure if these are great or my old ones were horrible, but my times shot up over a minute per mile. My legs feel like they're being used a completely different way and I haven't had to stop to walk once. I over-pronate and I couldn't recommend these more.

My 20 year old son and 50+ year old husband both have this shoe and give it rave reviews. They only wear Asics and say the GT-2000 is their favorite. They both have square Fred Flintstone feet and wear a 4E. Highly recommend.

When buying athletic shoes, the fit is one of the most important things. The great thing about buying from Zappos.com is that I didn't have to worry about getting the wrong size. I ordered a size that I thought was right, but when it got to me and was too small, all I had to do was pop them back in the mail and get the next larger size. No extra cost, no fuss, just good service.

Great shoe, looks good, fits well, lightweight. My son loves them for track.

Very comfortable and relatively lightweight running shoes. I bought the black version and as another reviewer pointed out the do look better in person than in the photos. They do run narrow! I had to return the first pair that I bought and get them in EE wide which I've never had to do before with any other shoe. I do not have particularly wide feet nor am I overweight but my feet were literally spilling of the sides of the standard D - Medium soles and bulging the material. That being said, once sized correctly they are awesome and give a good amount of support and cushion while not getting in the way. The upper mesh is very breathable and fits your foot like a glove. Would buy again.

The appearance of the shoe is better than expected. I ordered the black/onyx/white version. The shoe fits exactly true to size. I ordered my exact athletic shoe size of 11 E and the result was a great fit. I am happy with my purchase.

I wear a 15EE in New Balance, but have found that 14EE was a little better fit with Asics for me. So either New Balance's are a little shorter than true or Asics are a little longer than true. Either way, it's hard for me to find shoes that fit my large feet well. With these, I was looking for a great balance between (a) a beautiful fit, (b) good arch support, (c) a lighter weight shoe and (d) excellent impact absorption (I am 300 lbs, 6'3 and am using these for running... there is a lot of impact to absorb). I have been running in these daily (sometimes twice daily) for about 1.5 miles at each time for the past month. They hold up well and in my experience have performed will in every area I was concerned with. I am very pleased with this purchase and would buy them again. One note: I run on a treadmill. If the top part of your foot gets any water on it, your feet will be wet instantly. So, if you plan on running in any sort of wet conditions, you will probably will get wet feet. However, this is common in lighter-weight running shoes.

You guys are amazing. Ordered the shoes one day and had them the next. That's after driving all over my area trying to find these without success. Won't make that mistake again.

I buy this shoe two pairs at a time to alternate use. I wear them out in about a year because I pronate. I wish more color choices were available. They're not made in China.
