The color has changed from the photo on the site. I understand also that Birkenstock changed the actual color over the last two years since I last bought this exact color name - see photo of old "taupe suede" compared to new "taupe suede" (color difference isn't accounted for by just "dirt") but neither of those are actually the color represented in the current product photo on the site. The new "taupe suede" is a very light grey.

Good fit but don’t like the floppy loose construction of the suede upper. Does not provide any support for the foot.

Quality control issue? Bought a pair that were perfect, just a tad small. Ordered a second pair and the quality was totally different. Photo shows sandals on the right have a much softer and comfortable footbed than those on the left which are the same shoe.

THE STRAP WAS HANGING REAL LONG ITS A DEFECT.

I LOVE these shoes. Unfortunately the straps are so loose I had to return them. I own 6 pairs of Birkenstocks and have never had this issue. So disappointing because I loved everything about them.

I love Birkenstocks, but why do they say that EU 35 is an American 4.5 - 5. It's more like an American size 6. And they seem to no longer make an adult EU 34, only children's narrow. I can't find shoes that fit. Any suggestions?

Too wide

too high of arch...makes my knees hurt when I walk in them

I’m disappointed in the suede material. It’s soft, but so soft that the straps don’t hold their shape. Can’t use them as slides. Have to bend down and use two hands to put them on. Would not recommend this version of Birkenstocks.

Protruding staple beneath right sandal buckle, digs into top of foot.

So, these were either very stretched out, or the length of straps vary by color (they shouldn't). I bough the black pair and they fit perfectly. The straps of these are so loose, it renders them not wearable. Been having issues with Zappos and quality control as of late, not sure what's going on. At least I received the correct item this time.

I've worn Birkenstocks for years and have this style in a couple different colors. Size 39 N. The suede strap on this shoe is very loose and it was too loose even on the last hole in the strap! Bummed out because I love the color but had to return.

These aren't the Birkenstocks I remember from the '70s. These seemed poorly made and didn't fit right. I was disappointed. Definitely NOT worth $140!!!!!!

Besides not being comfortable on my feet, the shoes arrived in a ripped and torn box with a large stain on the insole of one shoe!

Soft suede and soft foot bed was perfect. Taupe color rather bland. Sadly I sent them back due to making my feet look like I was wearing boxes. Not a flattering look.

I originally ordered these in narrow/regular and they were too narrow and too small in length. The positive was that sandal fit nice and tight thanks to well fitting straps. I reordered in medium/wide and they were huge. Along with being too wide the straps were also gigantic, even on the smallest size. My foot was slipping all over the place when I tried to walk. I noticed some people commented they added an additional hole or two to the straps but that's unacceptable to me at this price point. As Unisex shoes, these just look and feel awful on my female feet.

beware of these sandals...they fall apart when they get wet..way over priced to say the least,,,,worth about $12.00 not good for outside walking on cement..stay away from these overrated shoes..

Not sure what was wrong, but the straps were too big, and my feet had too much room, even at the tightest holes. My other birks had not done that.

The straps are on the tightest hole and there is still a huge gap from being too loose. Maybe Birkenstock should add a few more holes or stop calling them unisex sandals.

Unfortunately these did not work for me. On the left shoe my toes rubbed up against the toe edge. Right shoe was ok. Overall they were a bit wide for my narrow feet. Had to return them and continue my search for the perfect casual summer shoe.

Footbed was too long for me and Birkenstock arch was too pronounced for my flat arches. Like the look but have to return.
