I always take a 38 in Naots, but in Birks I'm a 37 Regular. I don't have a "wide" foot; but Birkenstocks are foot-shaped. The narrow sizes at first fit "right" for me; but then I try the regular and realize how much more comfortable it is to let my foot relax completely. I tried these in the suede and the oiled leather; and the suede ones for some reason are much looser. All it would take would be adding another two holes to the strap, which is easy to do; however, the oiled leather feels so much more durable, like a shoe I'll have for years. Going with the leather.

Liked the suede material, but the shoe was too big and slid around. The style also made me feet look wider. Returned for the Birkenstock Granada and went a full size down. I’m normally a 7.5-8 in other brands and went with a 6-6.5 here.

Ok, so let me just say that I’ve had the most difficult time getting the right fit in Birkenstocks! Ever style fits differently and it’s truly a nightmare. I normally wear an 8 wide in all shoes, never worn a narrow in my life. I tried on this Arizona style in the store in a 38 narrow because that’s all they had but they were too small. My toes dangled off the side although the length was okay. So I ordered them in a 39 regular and they were so incredibly big! Had to send them back. Went to my local store and they had gotten a 39 narrow in and those fit great, not excessively long and my toes did not hang over the side. I was perplexed as to why this style was only in stock in narrow widths at my store but I figured it out. Unless you are a Sasquatch, you will need to order these in a narrow. They are just huge otherwise.

Although the historic, one-width, Birkenstock line fit my foot better, I am a big fan of this brand all the way around. They’re great quality, durable, very comfortable, and are great for my feet. The arch support is excellent. They relieve the pain I have from plantar fasciitis. The soft footbed is more comfortable for my particular feet than the original. (I have flat, low volume, but not narrow feet.) I used to wear the original footbeds and after a couple of weeks of wear, as the footbed conformed to my feet, they were wonderfully comfortable too. As for the straps, suede is my favorite material. They are so soft and feel great against the tops of my feet. I ordered a pair of black suede and a pair of taupe at the same time. I liked both colors but favored the black. The taupe is very neutral. However, there can be quite a variation in the color of the taupe sandals from pair to pair. Just in the pairs I’ve seen, some were light, some were tan-gray, some were tan-yellow, and some were three or four shades darker. Unfortunately I needed to return both pairs of these shoes as the regular width is too wide for me on the Arizona style. The straps are too long and there are no holes if I tighten them up enough to wear them. It also isn’t effective to punch additional holes in them. This is because the straps come across the foot at an angle. Thus additional holes in the center of the strap cause the tightened straps to gap and buckle on one side.

Tried the shoes on in a store first and discovered that I needed one size smaller than my normal size. Went for the suede straps because I wanted easy break in. There was one spot of errant glue inside one shoe that connected the upper to the lower that poked into my foot for a while. The shoes are comfortable and they are providing good support for the many troubles I have with my foot. I hope they will be good in the long run as I have to just give up on so many shoes I have bought. Fingers and toes crossed.

Unlike many here these are taking some time to break in. Super comfy but the first time I wore them I got blisters on my arches. I let them heal and now I wear for short periods of time every day (I’ve had them about a week) and I can tell it’s getting much better. No blisters now..just a little irritation. I don’t have flat feet I think mine are moderate arches. I’m hoping as I wear them and they mold to my feel better this issue will be resolved. I still gave them a high comfort rating because the footbed is quite cushy. Just be prepared to break in if your feet are like mine.

This is my first pair of birkenstocks. Gett8ng used to them. Got the soft footbed and that seems comfortable. The top suede rubs a bit but is adjusting to my feet. Think I will really love these

Love these in taupe. I'm a true women's size 7 with a wide foot and, like all Birkenstocks I've owned, the 36 fits me perfectly. I've had a little issue with these rubbing my arch and giving me a blister which I'm hoping will go away with wear...fingers crossed because I really like these sandals.

So this is my 5th pair of Birks and I am unsure what happened with this pair. The left foot arch support was more forward than the right. This makes a big difference in fit and comfort. Be sure to try on BOTH sandals when they arrive to be sure this is not the case with yours. Sadly returned but Birks are still the best sandals out there. Even the best company has an OOOPPS from time to time

Excellent except that it was a bit big!

Nice classic shoes. I didn't think the soft footbed was really all that soft though. I did like the black suede, but I wanted something less unisex-y and went with Naot Jessica.

Perfect, as you would expect but one caveat: when it rained/my feet became sweaty I noticed black smudging on the tops of my feet. But to be expected when wearing suede I suppose?

I bought these for my husband, and he isn't quite sold on them and the styling, as its his first pair. He reports that they fit a tad smaller then expected. I wear mine right out of the box with no problem, but I've been wearing them for 25 plus years.

This is my stand by sandal. I started wearing Birkenstocks years ago and with the Soft Foot bed, you don't have a break-in period. I only wish Zappos would start carrying more styles with the Soft Foot bed (they are available available in Europe.) One of the more flattering Birkenstock styles is the "Florida".

I really liked the fit of these shoes. They felt comfortable right out of the box. Unfortunately, the color was too dark for what I wanted. Medium gray would look better with my clothes. I liked the Narrow and Soft footbed!

Love them! The soft footbed is worth the extra cost. It really makes a difference in comfort. Bought size 8-8.5 and they fit like 8

I really love the style, but I had a problem with the fit on the right foot. I had to return because of the fit, but I wanted them to work. I have since noticed that 2 people I know have the exact same pair!! So cute!

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love these sandals. I ordered the narrow width ones because my feet are on the skinnier side and they fit great. Arch support is far better than any other sandal I've owned so these are automatically my favorite. I also got the "soft footbed" option, and I'd say it's worth it. I also own non-soft footbed Birks and it's not awful but it's not as pleasant. The only reason I knocked a star off was because the strap sizing seemed to be different on each sandal. One of the straps is longer than the other so I have to put on buckle on the 3rd hole vs the other on the 1st. It's not super noticeable so I didn't mind all that much. Overall, great shoe and I'll buy again once these are worn out, but that probably won't be for a few years if they're like my other pair :)

Birkenstock has always been a little expensive but worth the price. My last pair of sandals lasted 10 yrs! The quality of these seem similar. I wear them in the summer and in the house as slippers in the winter. Good value. Fits my foot like a glove.

I got a regular and straps were way too long. But they were comfortable, footbed and suede straps. I liked the width though.

Too wide, had to return.

I was so excited to find Birkenstock had a "narrow" width. With skis for feet, I cannot handle medium width shoes unless they are athletic shoes and socks are able to "fill" them for me. Unfortunately, even the narrow Birkenstock did not work. I had too much room under both straps. Doesn't make sense to have to punch additional holes in new shoes... so back they must go. Hate it. Will continue the quest for skis.
