Nothing finer... Have owned Birkenstocks in various styles, but Arizona Soft footbed is by far my favorite. I wore my last pair for 6 yrs and had to replace them because there's nowhere locally I could go to have new soles put on. However, with soft bed, you don't have to go through the break in period. These are the best!!!

Three little words...I LOVE THEM - I have worn Birkenstock for several years due to a chronic case of plantar fasciitis. Birkenstock appears to be the only shoe that actually supports my weight and my arches enough to make the pain bearable. The only problem with regular Birks is that sometimes just the hardness of the footbed leaves me with corns and calluses that bother me. When I saw the soft footbed of Arizonas and read some of the feedback, I decided to try it myself. I received them yesterday and in three words I LOVE THEM. The soft footbed is the crowning glory on a great shoe. It gives some padding to the foot as it supports them with the original construction. I don't think I will ever buy a regular Birkenstock again. I just hope this softness lasts for as long as the shoe does! My one CON would be that the shoe felt a smidge shorter than my original Arizonas do but I can live with that. I don't think I would want to jump up a size, they just feel a touch shorter.

I love Birks! I cannot believe how fabulous the new soft footbed feels! Zappos has fast, fast shipping and they are the ONLY ones on the net with the regular width! I am soooo happy with these shoes. I suffer from plantar fasciitis in both feet and in just a day, my feet feel better! Fabulous job Zappos!

For those who can't wear flip flops - I bought these for my husband who has bad feet (needs support) and he is very picky about shoes. He loved these! He put them on, has had no complaints and his feet don't hurt. Success. I think they are the ugliest shoes, but I don't have to wear them. Thanks to all who sent in reviews. It is why I bought them. New Birks for "new feet" - I recently had surgery for my bunions and a hammertoe and I thought this shoe would be great when the doctor said I could FINALLY wear shoes again. The soft footbed feels sooo good and the adjustable straps allow for any swelling that may occur. Besides those reasons, this is a very comfortable summer sandal and fun to wear. My "new feet" are very happy.

Fabulous shoe! Very comfortable shoe. Love the soft footbed.I have lower back pain from sitting at a desk all day and these shoes have definitely helped. Be sure to order your true size. Birks are supposed to fit a little long for free movement of the toes. Also, order the narrow if you are a narrow or regular width. Once you get used to these shoes, you will never want to take them off!

Birkenstock Arizona sandals - These are great sandals. They take a few wearings to get used to, but once you are used to them, they are like a second foot.

Carol from Staten Island, NY - Great shoe. I have ordered several pairs already. A word to the wise when you are purchasing suede ones you should get narrow. The suede stretches out and your foot comes out.

Best sandal for plantar fasciitis!!! WOW - These are the most comfortable shoes I ever wore. I put them on in the morning and don't take them off until bedtime. I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis on my left foot and by far only this Birkenstock and my New Balance tennis shoes for work at the hospital do their job.

Love the soft footbed - Love this shoe!!! The upgrade to the soft footbed is well worth the expense for people with chronic foot problems.

Only pair of Birkenstocks that I have had that made a farty suction sound when I walked. Wear socks= Problem solved!

Ended up returning. I typically wear a size 10 but went with the 9-9.5 instead of the 10-10.5 because I just felt the 10-10.5 would be too big. The 9-9.5 was pretty close to perfect but my middle toe touched the forward edge when I walked and I didn’t like the feeling. The straps felt loose too, even though I had them down to the tightest setting. The return was as easy as any thing I have ever returned.

The soft footbed is not the same soft footbed I have been wearing for the past 10 years or so. These don't compare to my old Arizona soft footbeds in the slightest, which are still after much wear comfortable and supportive. Unfortunately this new pair does not provide enough cushion for my painful 72 year old lady feet, especially in the heel and arch. I've been wearing Birks since the 70s and guess it's time for me to give up on the latest Birkenstocks.

Not bad. First pair of Birks. Will enjoy testing them.

Love Birkenstock shoes. Great for walking and being on your feet all day. The suede on these stretched and I ended up having to punch extra holes for the buckles. I ordered another color, in a narrow, and they’ve been great.

Turns out I'm not a softbed fan. I miss the deeper heal cup and the subtle arch support. The suede uppers feel really (really) good.

It was just too wide for my foot.

Returned because the wide is too wide for me and I have wide feet. The Papillio style is marked as narrow yet it fit perfectly so that’s what I landed on instead.

Loved this Birkenstock style but wow, it was too wide for my wide feet! Even if I strapped them in tighter, too much play.

A foot model I am not, but I'm including a photo in case it helps someone with feet like mine! I have flat feet that are average width with long-ish toes. I am a true women's US10 Medium and usually get sandals in US10 Medium without any issues. I have never owned Birkenstocks. I used the measuring guide on the Birkenstock website, measuring both feet by length and width to the millimeter, and it recommended a EU40 Narrow. That seemed to small to me, so I initially ordered a EU41 Narrow. The EU41 Narrow was good width-wise, but a few of my toes on my left foot, which is slightly larger, hung over the edge. Then I ordered a EU41 Regular. The EU41 Regular fit well across the toes, but it was way too wide. Even on the tightest setting, it felt like they were just going to fly off my feet every time I took a step. Finally I ordered a EU42 Narrow. I figured I needed the smaller width but just a little more length for my toes. The EU42 Narrow works. My 4th toe on my left foot still wants to hit the edge, but that is the only issue, and I'm hopeful with time and wear, it will find a cozy spot. lol To sum up, women's 10M ended up with a EU42 Narrow! I've never worn anything bigger than a women's US10 Medium, but whatever works, I guess. ... Good luck!

This review is for Arizona Softbed Unisex style. I had to tighten with two extra holes (I punched myself) and now they fix nicely. However I won’t buy the unisex/suede style again.

I was shocked at how large this run, being the first pair I've purchased. So they are going back for a whole size smaller. Tan looks a bit dirty. The sole has a little bit of cushion, well worth the extra $ for it. Overall, the shoe is nice, but the color doesn't make it look "new" and the fit was way off. So a little disappointed.
