I bought these for my husband, and he isn't quite sold on them and the styling, as its his first pair. He reports that they fit a tad smaller then expected. I wear mine right out of the box with no problem, but I've been wearing them for 25 plus years.

This is my stand by sandal. I started wearing Birkenstocks years ago and with the Soft Foot bed, you don't have a break-in period. I only wish Zappos would start carrying more styles with the Soft Foot bed (they are available available in Europe.) One of the more flattering Birkenstock styles is the "Florida".

I think runs a bit big. I wear a 6.5-7 shoe usually and the size 36 is a perfect fit. Excellent for wide feet. The narrow fits too but the normal width is more comfortable. The buckle does hurt my right foot through the suede when I’m walking but a bandaid on the area on the firm area has resolved this. I think as the shoes are broken in, this will resolve.

I usually wear a 37 but they were much too roomy. Went down to a 36.. much better. I am US size 6.5

These are absolutely worth the money. I bought my first pair of Birkenstocks in Germany one summer in the 1980s and wore them and wore them and wore them. The soft footbed really is a remarkable upgrade. Makes all the difference in the way they feel on my feet. I don't want to wear any other kind of sandal...so naturally that means I had to buy a couple more Birkis... No break in time whatsoever. And the most important part...other than foot comfort...the problems in my back have virtually disappeared since I started wearing these again. WOW! Oh, and my granddaughters think they are really cool.

I really liked the fit of these shoes. They felt comfortable right out of the box. Unfortunately, the color was too dark for what I wanted. Medium gray would look better with my clothes. I liked the Narrow and Soft footbed!

I have a wide foot and the regular width fit perfect. The straps with buckles are adjustable, it even covered my bunion!

Love them! The soft footbed is worth the extra cost. It really makes a difference in comfort. Bought size 8-8.5 and they fit like 8

Once you find your fit, stick with it. I can wear these out shopping all day and feet never get tired. I have the beige and the black. Might buy another color this year....

I am so glad that I read the reviews and went with the narrow because I definitely don’t have a narrow foot and these fit perfectly. I had ordered a regular width and it was far too wide and “sloppy.” These are such a comfortable classic, you won’t be sorry you ordered them.

Fifteen years ago, I bought my first pair of these shoes. A few weeks ago I decided it was time for a new pair. I still have, and wear, my first pair, but once, one of our dogs chewed one of the straps and I panicked just a bit. However, we have a wonderful cobbler here and he repaired it almost to its original condition. That was a few months ago. It was then I started thinking about ordering another pair, "just in case." I have them now, and they are as comfortable and reliable as my first pair. I have strangely- shaped feet: long, narrow, hammer toes, unusually high arch, no fat on the bottoms. These Birkenstocks are truly the only ones that fit my feet and cause no problems. That said, because of the shape of my feet, it's my excuse for not wearing heels for years. I even wore my pair of black Birks. to one of our son's wedding two years ago, while dressed in palazzo-like pants and an "appropriate" top, and no one even raised an eyebrow. At least none that I saw. I was most comfortable.

Are you really buying Birkenstock’s for style? Ha, I’m kidding. It’s really about the comfort to me and those sandals are the most comfortable sandals money can buy. Just be patient to break them in a bit, the soft footbed helps, but still takes a few weeks until they mold to your foot. Enjoy!

The buckles are a copper color, it adds a nice touch to the taupe suede shoes.

This is the great Birkenstock sandal with arch support and comfort as it conforms to the foot. Unless you have an wide/wide foot, women should order the narrow. I wear a size 41 Narrow, which is just right and I definitely don't have a narrow foot ... the regular would have been much too wide. This is the perfect sandal for me for another reason; thanks to the arch support, it stops my overpronation in my right foot. and the grey is a great color for just about any occasion ... with skirt, dress, leggings, slacks or jeans.

I ordered down a size and in the narrow option; with these two adjustments, I got my exact size (normally not a narrow). Very stylish, especially with the rose gold metal clasps. This color (taupe) also matches with virtually anything, and in the soft footbed option, there is only a minimal "breaking in" period.

I absolutely love these shoes. I was hesitant to buy them since they are obviously pricey but I really needed a nice pair of sandals with arch support. I can say they were 100% worth the money. I did have to exchange them though because I listened to some reviews and sized down. I should have gone with my normal size according to the size chart. At least the exchange was quick and hassle free! (thanks Zappos!) Definitely get the narrow fit though unless you have extremely wide feet. Also I saw a lot of reviews that said that they didn’t need to be broken in and I got really nervous when I got them because they weren’t that comfortable. They feel great after a few days of wear! If you’re on the fence about these shoes, do it.

The suede Arizona with the soft footbed can’t get any more comfortable. I had them in oiled leather and a regular footbed and they weren’t as comfortable as these! Love my new Birkis!

This is my first endeavor into the world of Birkenstock sandals. I wasn't sure really what to expect. I tried them on and was pleasantly surprised about the fit. I have 3E feet and the regular fit great. The straps were even in the middle of adjustability. The arch is very prominent. What I didn't realize is how hard and uncomfortable they were when the are first put on. I did a Google search and found there is a whole break-in process which I am going through now. Overall, pretty happy with the sandal.

I really love the style, but I had a problem with the fit on the right foot. I had to return because of the fit, but I wanted them to work. I have since noticed that 2 people I know have the exact same pair!! So cute!

If you have plantar fasciitis you need these shoes! I've worn them for years and the soft footbeds are the best!

Super comfortable; I've barely taken them off since I got them ~ lots of compliments as well (they're cute, not frumpy!)

I ordered a size 40 and it fit well. I am normally a 9 1/2 with a wider medium forefoot. The straps allowed me to adjust the width. I bought this sandal for the arch support not the style. Provides the arch support I was looking for.

I love these Birkenstocks with soft footbed . They are so comfortable, keep their shape, and fit true to size. I wear a size 5 and the 35 fits perfect.

The best of Birkenstock!! These are so comfortable, you can wear them anywhere!
